Once, she said. This was once a home to these people, like how that pink haired girl had explained in her story and the Queen had explained to them on the Moon.
When Iris had begun her grand explanation of their location, Kailash had finally pulled his eyes off the skies to look at her, and more specifically to the ruins of the caravans around them. Carts and pieces everywhere, and sand covering so much of it. The green haired youth looked around him grabbing at top hem of his shirts to create a breeze for himself (god, it was hot).
Yellow eyes followed where she pointed, only to pull wide once again when they returned. "AAH!" Kailash jumped back in surprise as she changed again, a long dress spilling down to the sand and large wings sprouting from her back. He had seen this form before, only briefly really, but it had happened so quickly.
"God, ********... stop doing that... I'm going to have a heart attack from all these changes and then get heat stroke and then just die up here or something." He wheezed, bending over with one hand on a knee and the other still clutching his yellow shirt.
Her manner of speech had changed too, he noticed. And the smile, he saw when he lifted his head to look at her. This... was freaky, like really freaky. Where were the curse words and the slurred words? "No s**t," he simply told the princess in a weary voice. So weird... sooo... soooooo weird.

The girl laughed as Kailash seemed to act the role of the buffoon. She knew that she probably hadn't helped at all with shifting into this form, but it was hard to resist changing when on this dead world.
"I would suggest you get used to such drastic temperatures in all honesty. I heard from a very reliable source that Uranus had very similar temperatures to this world."
Her wings folded up against her back as she soon enough bent over and scooped up the bottle of sunscreen. "I would suggest if you figure out how to get to Uranus... that you try to remember sunscreen... and maybe to bring yourself a water bottle... since you seem to have a low tolerance to heat these days." With the back of one hand, she dusted off any stray bits of dark sand which had gotten stuck to the bottle.

Kailash couldn't say he was surprised to hear the sift laughter coming from his winged companion. At least it was in the mocking tone he would expect to come from Ellie or Iris, or whatever form she decided to ever take. The Page huffed before pressing his lips together in an annoyed and lopsided frown.
He honestly wasn't sure how to respond to her suggestion about his own, apparent, home planet. Most of what he gave her was a continued annoyed yet confused look as the green haired page straightened himself out, still fanning his shirt with one hand and the other lazing by his side.
Heat, yeah he could expect one layer of heat on the planet, "... and a parka or something..." There was also a layer of extreme cold and impossibly high winds. And methane gas. He would need a damned protective suit. Was it worth it to try to explain what modern science had discovered about the planet in recent years? How it was mostly a gas planet? Coming to Iris seemed like one thing, it was a solid object, but Uranus.
This Princess Iris seemed really sure about herself. "I don't know who this source would be, but I think modern science would beg to differ in a few ways." His lips twitched for a moment into a smirk before collecting back into his frown.
God, it was hot. He could feel the sweat rapidly pooling on his forehead and at the back of his neck.

The mention of a parka didn't go unnoticed, and for some reason wasn't outright rejected. "I suppose if you go during the evening, a parka might make sense, but you probably don't want to overload yourself with things you bring with you."
The mention of modern science and the inquiry of who her source was caused the girl to giggle a bit. Something that would have been uncharacteristic of Ellie. Ellie was a laugher, not a lighthearted giggler. It was an odd position to be put into on her own end. How did one tell someone that the reliable source she had was the person she was talking to at that very moment, but in another lifetime? Kailash was still too new to the scene to take that sort of information correctly. His head would have probably exploded from the notion that reincarnation definitely existed.
When she finally spoke, she ignored the inquiry about her sources and moved onto the subject of science. "Modern science would have a field day with the manner in which we traveled to my previous home, and some of the skeletons that you can find along here. If modern science had the ability to meet a living Iridian, they'd probably have a field day with them too. 'Oh no, an alien that looks exactly like a human, let's dissect it!'" For a moment a look of distaste seemed to touch her features. However, her expression faded back to a more gentle smile.
"...Modern science has a tendency to make Mountains out of Mole Hills."
She tilted her head in his direction, easily noting how uncomfortable her companion seemed. "You'll get used to it at some point... but maybe save that for another day... you got your demonstration, yes? Did you want to head back now?"

Kailash wasn't sure if he should take any offense at her light jab at the scientific fields of study; there were really so many factors. But, this whole experience, from his first transformation, could really be to blame for any at all thoughts back into it all.
But this was still Ellie Spectre, even under all the layers and the wings and the light filled laughter that was now replacing her deep in the gut that he had heard a few times. It was weird really, this new demeanor, but he wasn't really willing to put up much of an argument and refute her own claims... since it was still that annoying blonde he knew. It might have also been like talking to a wall, with how she saw the universe now... not something that he could really change in an instant, even with this little trip.
So, he only gave her a look. One that held the idea that he thought she was crazy, even after all this. "Heading back sounds good," he simply told the girl. He was getting tired of melting on his feet.

With his confirmation of how badly he wanted to go home, the blonde nodded her head, then closed her eyes. With a faint glimmer, her princess features seemed to fade, leaving the blonde senshi in her place. Golden eyes eventually opened up, all traces of the princess seeming to leave her features as she smirked at him. She waved a hand and made her phone reappear.
"...Okay dickface... If yer done complainin'..." She grinned before mentioning "Grab a hold of my shoulder... Head back th'same way we got 'ere!"

Always the charmer this one was, but at least it was back to her normal self; kind of, just added really short skirts and buttwings. But the mouth of an open sewer was back again, so it was less weird.
Kailash trudged forward, happy to be going home to a normal climate at least, and slapped his wrapped hand down as hard as he could on her shoulder. Yes, let's get this pristine white covered in his gross sweat, all for taking him here where it was ungodly hot. Nevermind that he kind of asked for it.

The girl didn't even wince at his weighted effort of slapping her shoulder. She grinned at how much it looked like he was suffering. He is going to have one hell of a time when he gets to Uranus...
Eventually she closed her eyes, and once she was ready, she hit the button on her phone. The two returned to Earth, and more than certainly the two would part ways soon after. They'd probably end up bumping into each other again at some point.
Eventually.
Probably.
