“Honestly, Kallichore could probably use a bit of looking after herself sometimes,” Ganymede replied, half joking and half serious.

He did what he could not to get diverted from the main conversation, neither by his comment nor by Tsui’s statement about other teams. That was a topic he was probably better off not getting started on, even if Tsui seemed as if she might have certain reservations about some of them as well. He was pretty sure he’d made his opinions regarding some people rather clear, in any case. There was no point in reiterating them here, when none of them were even around to cause an issue.

He could try to be mature about it, even if it really, really didn’t want to be mature sometimes.

“We’d be honored to have you,” he said instead, continuing to smile in Tsui’s direction. “Or I would. I’m sure the other two would. And Val, too. You might want to talk to him, just to clear the air or whatever. I promise it’ll be fine. He’s not the type to hold a grudge unless someone’s done something he thinks is completely unjustified. He might act a little superior every once in a while, but I give you permission to bring him back down among us mortals if that ever happens.”

Ganymede spoke with amusement and listened with interest, his head turned to watch Tsui and give her his full attention, examining what expressions he could see and noting the varying tones of her voice as it changed with the subject matter.

His smile widened. He was much the opposite—a lover instead of a fighter.

Perhaps it’d make a nice foil when it came to teamwork.

“I think first of all you have to get over the thought that showing emotion makes you weak, because it doesn’t,” he confidently replied. “Emotion gives you the strength and the will to fight, to keep going, whether that’s anger or frustration or fear or sadness, or something better. Hope, joy, excitement. It’s when you don’t feel anything at all that things get dangerous,” he cautioned. “If it were me, I’d just plop down in front of them and let them know I had my eye on them. Sometimes it’s just a matter of doing little things to get the point across, standing close or lightly touching, and they can pick up on it themselves. Other times people can be really dense and you have to be a little more overt, but there’s really nothing wrong with just coming out and saying ‘I like you.’ The worst that can happen is they don’t like you back, and… actually, that’s pretty terrible, but at least then you’ve gotten it over with and you don’t have to freak out about it anymore.”

"Don't worry. I'm sure Valhalla and I will have a nice, long, and enlightening conversation when the time comes. And if he wants to pay me back for that punch, then I suppose I'd simply have to grin and bear it..." Tsui said with a wry smile, meaning every word of what she said. Perhaps Valhalla wouldn't be the type to return the favor in kind, but she knew that if the situation was reversed then she'd be passing out black eyes like it was Halloween candy. Perhaps that was something she'd have to learn from the Jovians... in which she was simply over the moon about.

Though that feeling turned into nervousness once more when Ganymede had given his advice on how Tsui should approach the topic of love. What he said was solid advice, everything from just coming out into the open and telling her, to even the possibility of being rejected. Tsui didn't want to think of that... she wasn't sure how she'd handle rejection... she's had crushes before, but those were simply crushes, meant to go no where and even she knew it. This? This was something she wanted to pursue, but she was afraid of failure. How was it that she could face off against Negaverse generals without a second thought, but the thought of confessing her love to another terrify her out of her mind?

Still Ganymede had given her sound advice, and Tsui wasn't going to take it for granted. She gave a nod, hoping to hide any of her fear from her voice, though she was certain that her body language would give away her sudden giddiness. "Then the next time I see her, I'll... try to get the courage to address it. I just hope that it doesn't throw her completely off and makes things awkward between us..."

She could only imagine how weird that would be, but there was no need to dwell on such bad what-ifs. She'd simply deal with it then, and whatever happens will happen. For now, she didn't want to burden Ganymede any further with her troubles, not when he had already sacrificed much of his time already. "Thanks a lot for talking with me, Ganymede. I hope that I'll be of some use to the Jovians, in some way or another, even if all I'm good for is dusting youma and throwing punches in Chaos' direction. I hope to get to see you more from now on..."

Giddiness was a feeling Ganymede was well used to.

Actually, he was used to a lot of feelings. He was an emotional being, no matter when or how much he tried to contain himself, something always managed to slip out and make itself visible to other people, whether it was his expression or even just his eyes, it was never very difficult for people to guess how he was feeling or what he might be thinking at any given time. It was, perhaps, something of a weakness, but he still liked to think of the feelings behind it as strengths.

But giddiness he’d grown accustomed to feeling in his relationship with Chris, that mix of mild nervousness and excitement that filled him with such a powerful feeling of anticipation he was unable to contain himself. He smiled wider to see traces of it in Tsui, and found himself hoping things went well for her.

Everyone should be able to feel that way, he told himself. Everyone should have the chance to know what it was like.

“I’m sure you’ll be a great help,” he reassured her, coming to a stop in order to turn to her and give her his full attention. “As much as I don’t like the fighting, we do need people who are ready and willing to do it. We’re all different. We all have our own strengths and weaknesses, and skills and uses. We just have to find a way to make it all work together.”

And if he and Kallichore could do it, he didn’t see why anyone else shouldn’t be able to do the same so long as there was the willingness to try.

“Good luck with your girl,” he added. “You’ll let me know how things go with that, yeah? Maybe I’ll even get to meet her one day,” he said with a cheeky grin.

"Yeah, working together is going to be hard... but if we start small and work our way to the rest of the Court, maybe we'll have the same unity that our enemies do," Tsui said, brushing aside her giddy feelings for the time being for trying to focus on what really mattered. No, she was a little pessimistic about the entire Court setting aside their differences and maybe she wasn't helping with that, but at least now she was joining a cause that she believed in, and trusted above all else. It was at least a step forward, given who Tsui was. "And don't worry... I'm sure you'll get the chance to meet her at some point, or have. Either way, you'll be one of the first to know how things work out between us."

Then she added with a little meekness. "Assuming there will be an 'us'... but, still got to try, right? If I can conquer youmas in a fight, then I can handle this thing called love!"

Yes, she was determined to find a way to get her feelings across, even if she had to take Ganymede's advice and be straight forward with it. This was Super Sailor Tsui... there were few out there that were more straight forward that she was. No ploys, no games, just straight up walk up to Sutai and say 'I LOVE YOU!' It sounded so easy... surely it couldn't be that difficult.

"Thanks for all the advice, Ganymede... I look forward to seeing you again in the near future. If you ever need a partner on your patrols that's willing to kick a few butts, then call me."
