"Oh I'm only being a touch pessimistic and sulky. You see all the mares I have met pretty much dated cousins for a while then left. No one seemed to have much interest in me. But I don't mean to complain. I should be looking at this view and appreciating it for what it is. But here I sit...sulking."

She snorted. “only a touch like water only gets you a touch wet.” She considered his words. “Well I have intrest in you so I don’t think you can complain. As for the view yes, you should be enjoying it more. Each sun rise and sunset is different even you stand in the same spot. This view will be too so why not enjoy it’s splendor now and you can worry about your being single later. Provided you are still considered single by the time we walk down from here.” She smiled coyly at him. “That choice is really up to you though.” She never would have said such a bold thing to anyone else but she did like this male and she was alone too. Perhaps they could make it work?

Alkion gave her a wide eyed look as if realizes how silly he had sounded and then realizes what she had just said. "Really? You would date me?" A light in his eyes began to burn brightly. Perhaps, perhaps he had finally found the one meant for him. Tylion had found his but tragedy had torn them apart and Tylion never even got to see his own children, some of which were as crazy as their sister. Interesting gene that. "Thank you Caladwen for believing in me. I would be proud to call you my girlfriend." He hoped they got on as well as they did now, she was unique a flower amoung the ruins and she deserved to be loved and cherished. He could do this for her.

“Well I can’t come up with a reason why I wouldn’t. It’s true I don’t really know you well, but I do like what little I’ve seen of you and of course dating wouldn’t be a bad way to get to know you.” She liked watching his eyes light up the way they had. The fact when he said her name she automatically blushed made her want to bury her head in the sand, but she figured that was something that would pass with time as she got to know her new companion. “I’m happy to call you mine to Alkion. Well I don’t know if fate will let us stay together all our lives I do like you and will always be on your side. Even if you disappear into the rain and mist I’ll follow the light from the breaking storm to you.”

As he listened and watched the light burned brighter. She spoke nothing but the truth and he admired that. To give the truth such a poetic turn took skill indeed. "Well Miss Caladwen, shall we enjoy the rest of this view to the fullest then meander down the hill for some food?" He grinned at her, a smile such as hadn't graced his face since he had learned of the demise of his brother.

Moving close to him so that their sides were barely touching she leaned her head against his. “mm that does sound lovely.” She smiled to herself and wondered just how she was going to tell her friend Erumara that she had found a male that she liked and would be following for a bit. Honestly she had figured that Erumara would have been the one to find love first but the world works in mysterious ways; and she wasn’t about to complain when the world had given her Alkion.

He couldn't believe she trusted him. She would stay with him for a while. He was ecstatic, couldn't wipe the smile off his face if he tried. He pressed his cheek against hers. Reveling in the comfort and sensation.

*tossing in a bit of a time skip*
The time passed a bit to quickly for Cale’s liking but her stomach seemed to agree it was time to go so she supposed she shouldn’t complain. Nudging Alkion she started to head down the hill looking forward to getting something to eat. “So then Alkion if we’re dating any dark secrets I should know about?” She giggled.

"Um, I don't think so. Just the loss of my brother to the six really. He had a bunch of girls with his mate who is now dating my sister. Confusing right? Well they seem happy, and it seems to help the family cope a bit. I am part of a big herd with many subfactions and other then that I'm a pretty simple stallion. Not intelligence wise but in life you know. I like watching sunsets and sunrises, playing with the sea serpents and pestering my cousins other then that I don't know what else there is."

She nodded sadly. “Loosing anyone to the six would be very very difficult to deal with.” She tilted her head but kept walking. “As for your brother’s ex mate dating your sister. I suppose the closeness helps them both cope and more then that gave them common bonding ground to start a relationship?” She wasn’t really sure but smiled at him. “Them being happy really is the most important thing.” She nudged him playfully. “You might be simple but I’m certainly not complaining. I’d hate to have to struggle hard to understand and keep up with a mate you know? I like things open and clear not all confusing and complicated.” Her tail flipped up. “Though I definitely won’t be joining you in playing with the sea serpents. That’s just a bit reckless for my taste. Though I don’t mind watching them from the shoreline.”

"Really, they are harmless, no nipping, no biting, no chomping all they eat is fish. It is fun to intimidate those who do not know sometimes though. Really they are like oversize pets."

Thinking about it Cale was still intimidated by the large serpants but she supposed if Alkion said they were ok she might one day venture a swim with him. As for Azrein’s with other creature brains she knew how that went. “I understand Melda has the brain of a leaf on the wind. You’re never sure where she’s off to.”
