Eva simply smiled, clearly unaffected by his threat. Instead, she picked up one of his hands, turning it over so that it was palm-side up. "Oh, don't be silly! I won't draw anything dumb--I'll draw something cute!" Because that was better by a long-shot, right?
She uncapped the sharpie, tapping the back of the pen against her lips as she considered what to draw. Well, considering that this was puppy she was drawing on, it was pretty obvious what the first thing she should doodle was, right? Furrowing her brows and looking as if she were in deep concentration, Eva carefully began to scribble on the poor boy's hand.
After a minute or two passed in silence, she drew back with a satisfied grin. "There!"
...Was that...was that a dog with a hat and skewed sunglasses? Not a very subtle choice, Eva.

He had a feeling she was lying, or bending the truth. And he was right. Soon enough, he got his hand back to find a portrait of himself as a crude cartoon puppy. "Subtle." He mumbled sarcastically. "Fine. My turn."Otto stole the marker from Eva and took her hand, palm side up. He began to scribble something down, brows furrowed in concentration. And then this happened.

"Haha, but it's cute, right? I think so, at least." Considering Eva was no artist, she seemed rather pleased with how the puppy had come out. When it was her turn to have her hand drawn on, she patiently stretched her hand out towards him...only to wriggle a lot during the actual drawing process because pffffff, that tickled.
When he was done, she drew her hand back to look at it...and then let out a bright laugh. "Oh, that's kind of cool! I like the style, though...puppy..." She shoved her drawn-on palm in front of his face, "Weren't you the one complaining how hard it would be to wash this stuff off? This particular piece of graffiti will take me a week to get off completely, if I'm lucky!"
She beckoned for him to return the sharpie to her then. "So, because of that, I think it's fair if you let me draw a heart on your cheek or something."

"Cute ain't cool, okay?" He complained with a huff. He stared at the drawing on his hand, almost wishing he owned anything with sleeves. At least it was on the palm of his hand. He tossed the marker back to Eva. "Nu uh! The face is off limits." Otto replied seriously, both hands held out in front of him to keep her away. "If you do, I'm drawing butts on your face."

"Aw, puppy! Come on? Just a liiiiittle heart?" Seeming undeterred by his threat, Eva advanced on the boy, creeper style.

"Or...okay fine, a star, maybe? Stars are cool, right?" And surely he would agree that stars were at least better than hearts. Yes, Eva was trying to implement some kind of mild door-in-the-face technique in hopes that he would agree. From a giant heart to a small star--that was good deal, right?

"Yea, a star is fine anywhere but my face!" Otto replied nervously, backing away from the creeping form of Eva. "Stay away!" Eva looked less like Eva and more like the creeper from cutes-ville. ...Okay she was still cute even as a creeper.

Eva continued to advance, and if one were to imagine her as the puppy, her tail would undoubtedly be wagging furiously from side to side. "I promise it'll just be a small star, puppy! Right on your cheek! It'll look like some kind of cool tattoo or something!
That is, if it didn't come out crooked or something.
Or ~*~*~*magically*~*~*~ turn into a heart, somehow.
Eva looked ready to pounce...but surely she wouldn't do so in the pod room of all places, right? ...Right?

"No! A face tattoo is dumb! You're dumb!" Otto rambled, backing away until he bumped into a pod. He panicked and booked it down an aisle of pods. There was no way he would deal with a little gay star on his cheek like some sad clown. "You're crazy too!"

"Boo, you're no fun."
Eva looked disappointed, finally lowering her arms from her creeper stance. However, after a moment passed in silence, a sudden mischievous light suddenly glinted in her eyes. Slowly, she uncapped the marker, but she lifted it to her own cheek, drawing a quick and small heart.
Then Eva did what she did best, which was suddenly press her cheek against Otto's while the ink was still wet. She held still for a few seconds before darting away, giggling all the while.

She stopped. He won. And because he thought he'd won, he let his guard down. She seemed to draw her heart on her own cheek, and he smirked. "There, ya got it out of your system----AUGH!"Crap. The cheek thing she did. He liked when she did that normally, but this? "UGH! THAT'S CHEATING!" He whined aloud, not bothering to push her away since the damage was done.

Eva was laughing as she danced away, lips spread into a wide grin. "Don't be grumpy, puppy! Hearts are cute!" Which was probably exactly what was bothering the poor boy in the first place, but Eva just seemed amused more than anything. Amused and proud.
Look on the bright side, Otto: at least the long, boring task of pod duty was now slightly more bearable with someone to distract you?
Or maybe the fact that it was Eva made it more unbearable. If she had had her way, there would have been hearts, stars, and flowers doodled over Otto's face a long time ago.

"Hearts are cute on girls, Eva." Otto reprimanded, arms crossed over his chest. "Now I gotta walk around with this thing on my face till it wahses off. People will see me with it."A grand huff from the teen, now leaning against a nearby pod and grumping at the dark haired woman. "If I get made fun of for this, I'm blamin' you."

"Aww, don't be silly. It's not just girls--you look pretty cute with a heart on your cheek too!" She couldn't resist teasing him, reaching out and poking him where the heart had been stamped.
His grumpiness only earned a cheeky smile."Okaaaay, fine by me! I accept any and all blame for what teasing you may receive." There was a pause, and then she spun the sharpie between the fingers, her eyes sparkling.
"Want me to even it out by drawing another heart on the other side of your face?"

Cute!? Otto's posture deflated after hearing that. He didn't want to be cute. Men were not supposed to be cute! Alas, he would just be seen as a little boy forever. Never seen as handsome, or the high ranking status of 'hot'. Not while he was sporting a smudged little heart on his cheek, and reaching piddly height of 5'5". Sigh."Hell no!" Otto snapped back, smacking both hands on each side of his face to protect himself. "You're cruisn' for a brusin', lady. I'll get ya for this." He needed to think of a way to get her back. How could he irritate Eva with as little repercussion as possible? A prank, maybe? He wasn't really sure how to embarrass her though, or irritate her. He... didn't know a whole lot about her, actually. Huh. The southern boy sighed and stuffed his hands in his pockets. Other than goofing around he didn't know what to talk about, or how to find out more about anyone. It was awkward to just tell someone to explain themselves like an essay. "Hey, do you actually like those stuffed animals I always get?" He asked suddenly, lifting his head up to eye her carefully. "They're kinda dumb lookin', after all."

The slight slouch didn't go unnoticed by Eva, who stopped giggling long enough to c**k her head to the side and stare at the boy inquisitively. Why--oh, she hadn't actually...hurt his feelings or anything, had she? She supposed that being called cute just really didn't sit well with guys in general. Looking both a little sheepish and apologetic, she lifted a hand and rubbed the back of her neck.
"Ahaha, sorry Otto." Had her teasing gone too far, maybe? Well, in Eva's opinion, it was waaay too much when she had obviously hurt someone's feelings, which...kind of seemed to be the case now.
Of course, the blond boy couldn't be too bad off if he could still threaten that she was "crusin' for a bruisin'", a line that only succeeded in making Eva giggle.
The suddenly question, however, did catch her off guard. There was a beat of silence, and then she nodded, lips spreading into a grin. "Of course I do! They're nice to have, you know! I mean...haha, remember that near-death experience Reine and I had a few months ago?" Eva certainly remembered it, and she remembered talking to Otto about it after they got back too. "I was having such terrible nightmares that I couldn't sleep at all. I guess it might sound childish, but surrounding myself and cuddling with all those plushies made me feel a little safer and less alone in my room."
...
"Plus, they're super cute."
