"Ah right, Mist have their fingers in all the pies..or divisions. It helps though I won't lie. The moon division...we need more people but it feels like we lose so many, just so many of them." he laughed but the only hunter he knew personally that had died was Julie. He hoped that for the future, no one else he knew would die.
He watched her as she set up and hoped for all involved that neither of them hit a part where the wall would crumble at their feet. He'd never you know heard of it but..."think positive Cass...If you make a hole in the wall....you can turn it into a window..amrite?" He laughed at his stupid joke.
"I had no idea, but its no wonder he fits in with the Moons so well. I always wonder what it would've been like if we hadn't all become hunters you know..." He started pounding a board in, placing it...levelling it and then setting it up so it matched the other boards on the wall. A steady stream of thuds from the hammer on the board before he paused, "You were a actress?" Dakota looked over at her in surprise...but she was young! Younger then him wasn't she? goes to show you what he knew.
"I always wanted to be a fireman...if were talking about dream jobs. I've always had a thing for fire...and it for me so it always made sense to me. Plus ladies LOVE firemen." Dakota laughed.
The talk of transferring made him grunt and grin. "Well we'd take you if you wanted to. I feel we got a lot more suns and deathies that run right into the field rather then Moons or mist who can defend. I'm thinking about roping Lifers into thinking about defending too since our division is just so damn small." he started pounding the bottom of the board in and look it over, giving it a test pull before satisfyling moving on to the next board, repeating the process from before.
"Marcus says you can't play with the power tools."iStoleYurVamps Text to Marcus: I don't know brother, if she uses the eyes, I'm a goner. I'll let her play with whatever power tool she wants...

Cass grimaced. "Not an actress." she replied. "Close, but...not an actress..." clearly whatever she actually was she wasn't about to actually clarify what she had been. Just what she hadn't been.
"Well, Clarice definitely likes her a fireman." Cass suddenly joked with a laugh before she patted herself on the chest. "You'd like to be swathed on ladies and your nice little fireman suspenders." She pretended she had a pair on herself, grabbing her bra straps through her shirt and 'thwack'ing them against her shoulders....
before groaning and rubbing the offended spots. "Owwwwwwwwwww...." This was likely why she wasn't being trusted with power tools.
"Not even a drill or an electric stapler? I'm going to smash my hand off with this!" she suddenly pulled a hammer out of the tool belt with enough ferocity to send it flying out of her hands and into the wall behind her.
The now dented wall behind her.

Nyxtsuki Moon Text to Dakota: Dakota. No. demon_pachabel Text to Cass: Cut a bit of sheetrock from the bit left over upstairs to mostly fill the hole, cover with plaster and smooth. Dakota should be able to teach you. The basic book in on the temp lower shelf in the workroom has details just in case. PS no power tools.

"Singer?" Dakota asked instead and perked a eyebrow. What was she?!?! It would bother him forever!
"Clarice is like...a mom dude." He laughed, "Plus her and Clerise have a thing or something. I don't poach on Clerise's things...Flings...yeah that." He had to laugh again at the suspender bit and shook his head.
"Pretty sure the suspenders are the best part ngl." Dakota made the same imaginary motion she did and gave her a cocky grin.
"Not even a drill or a electric stapler. Nothing with battery operated power..." He snorted. Then watched as the hammer went flying from her hand into the wall. "Nope. But I can carry a tune. Being a singer would have been fun." Cass replied, still staring at her phone with a rather distressed look on her face. "Okay..Marcus says to cut off some sheet rock from upstairs but doesn't trust me with anything sharper than a box cutter I guess...." she frowned more.
"So I guess I gotta find a box cutter first and then go cut off some sheet rock and fix the wall." she looked at Dakota with a doe eyed look. Bambi eyes. Whichever they would be properly labelled as. "Does a box cutter even cut through sheet rock...?"

"Augh Cass, this is going to bother me the whole time!!" Dakota threw up his hands and then stuffed the hammer he had been trying to use on the board for the like past 5 minutes in his belt. He gave up on that part at the moment till they fixed the wall.
"A box cutter for sheet rock?" Dakota made a lulwhut face at Cass, "A box cutter for sheet rock..." he laughed a little...and then was struck.
with the eyes...
He fidgetted uncomfortably and looked so far away, his head turned like a owl's...odd.
"It looks like...Sheet...rock?" He answer stupidly. Damn eyes.

"But what does that look like? I know this sounds stupid, but I didn't exactly do a lot of housework related stuff growing up..or construction..or whatever..."

Dakota blinked and then disappeared, his footsteps could be heard as he wandered up the house before a few grunts...some curses and he came back holding a large board.
"this...is...Uh...Sheet rock..."
And stood there like a idiot. Now Dakota, this is when you tell her to cut it and plaster it on the wall...

Cass half ducklinged after Dakota, watching him as he went up the stairs and then looking startled as he came down the stars with the sheet rock as well.
Mostly she tried to stay out of the way.
"Oh. That's um..." Cass shuffled her feet a bit before she started to look around for a box cutter. "... Is a box cutter even going to be enough for that?"
