He had rejected her offer and for reasons she could not explain, it stung. She had not expected him to readily accept her offer, after all she had made it very clear that she was not on his side. She wasn't exactly against him but they stood for very different things and since he allied with the Negaverse (and chaos) they were enemies. Still, Denebola was not a girl used to being rejected.
"I suppose it will depend on the circumstances," she told him, choosing her words carefully. It had been an offer of impulse and she could not say she would offer it again. Still, Remarque seemed to be a...likeable character though she still stood on the edge of the fence when it came to deciding how she felt about him. "But if you wish to see my homeworld one day, I will take you," she told him mentally adding a, probably.
"Intentions are usually always good," she commented quietly. She was sure that at some point the members of the negaverse had good intentions but their good intentions were twisted by the long-term effects of Chaos. There was little doubt that sometime the same would happen to the Dark Mirror Court.
Chaos had a way of corrupting even the pure-hearted.
"I wish I could believe you," she told him, shaking her head. "But I can't. Because war hurts everyone, intentional or not."

For a long moment, Remarque looked at the girl, quietly considering her and her words. "You're a smart girl," he decided. "And an interesting one, at that. You've got a good head on your shoulders. I hope you continue to use it. Ideally, this wouldn't be a war. I don't see why anyone really has to fight. But I suppose we've all got our deep-rooted passions. Perhaps some day we'll all find some sort of compromise. I'll look forward to it."
Just as long as he got what he wanted—as long as the Dark Mirror Court got what they wanted—he didn't care. Let them save what senshi they could, keep the earth safe. He didn't care for the Moon Queen nor did he care for whoever the Negaverse was following these days. He cared about himself and the Dark Mirror Court.
"In the meantime, take care to keep yourself safe. I'd hate to hear anything bad happened to you."
Unless she started interfering with the goals of the Dark Mirror Court. Then it would be nice if she could just quietly disappear.
"If the offer still stands, one day I'd like to see Denebola. Perhaps I'll have something to show you in return."
A utopia would be nice. Maybe that would be enough to win her over. To win them all over.

"So I've been told," she mumbled brushing aside his would-be compliment. She listened quietly, thoughtfully, to him as he talked of war. Again, she believed he had nothing but good intentions but was being naive. They were already in the midst of a war and while things had been stagnant it was present none the less.
It was the quietness of either side that had the senshi of dragonflies worried. There was always quiet before the storm.
"There will always be fighting when there are two faction on the opposite side of things," she stated, memory recalling all the wars she had learned about from history. "When one force opposes another then discord erupts, intentional or not. It is in our nature." By our nature she meant human nature because magical powers or not she was still human. She was convinced that chaos and corruption or not those of the Negaverse, and now the Dark Mirror Court by extension, were still human. They were still driven by human wants and needs.
"Compromise would be ideal but some acts cannot be forgiven," she lamented, with a slow shake of her head. So many lives had been lost already, how many more would be forsaken in this magic war?
He told her to be safe and a startled laugh was her response. Someone on the opposite advising her to be safe? It seemed laughable but at the same time...Dene knew that he meant it. "I..." she hesitated, this was the most calm and pleasant meeting she had ever experienced when dealing with chaos.
Maybe Remarque was proof that there was still good left in even the heavy corrupted.
"I wish the same for you," she finished stepping back. Her hand played with the blue transparent bow on her hip as if it were a nervous habit. "If you really wish to then seek me out," she told him, two-toned eyes examining him with a twinge of sadness. "Whether you have something to show me or not."

Again, Denebola imparted a unique insight to her view on the war. She didn’t seem jaded nor naïve about what they were doing. Humans would always fight, this much was true. Even if they were absolutely, perfectly happy, they would fight. Because it was in their blood.
Remarque nodded in response, not wanting to keep her waiting while he mulled over her offer. "Then I shall look forward to our next meeting. I will seek you out when I can," he promised. He had questions—too many questions—to have agreed to her offer. Even if he'd wanted to. There was a constant, nagging curiosity. He wanted to have impulsively accepted, but he couldn't be so foolhardy as to take her up on such a thing.
What if it had been a trap?
…Not that he had much to worry about, he reassured himself. She was only a Super Senshi. If he had to, he could have disposed of her. Or at least, he was arrogant enough to think so.
He seemed prepared to part ways now, lest he change his mind about her offer and quickly find himself regretting it. "I suppose it's best I take my leave now. Busy nights and all. But this has been a pleasure, Denebola."
