Selphie smiled sweetly as she took her three Pokeballs assigned to her, although being from a different region, she had many different items, some including Pokeballs. Since the rules of catching a Pokémon were that you must use a Pokeball given to you by the professor, Selphie didn’t see the point in arguing. Instead, she gladly took her assigned three Pokeballs and walked out of the back door from the laboratory and looked around. She was standing on a small field that lead two directions. Selphie could either walk into the bushes and catch a land-based Pokémon, or she could go to the lake and catch a Pokémon that liked the water. ‘I think I’ll go for a land-based Pokémon, that way I can fight while I’m still on land. Besides, it’s not like I plan to become a fisherman.’ Selphie made her decision and began walking directly in front of her, which lead straight into some bushes that most probably contained a Pokémon or two.
It didn’t take her long thankfully for as she travelled through the tall grass and bushes, she stumbled into an alarming Deino. As she walked into it, the Deino lifted its head up and began to look around.
Selphie knew that their vision wasn’t the best, and that they used sound and biting to find their way around. That probably explained why Deino had a bunch of scratches all over its body. Selphie made no attempt at making any noise, instead, she thought about what she was going to do next so that the Deino didn’t know her exact location. ‘Deino eat anything that moves, so unless I want to make myself a meal for this Pokémon, I’d better hold still.’ Selphie looked around, trying to find anything that she could use to hit this Pokémon and distract it, even if only for a moment. She eventually found a small rock which she decided to toss into some bushes relatively further from her.
Once she threw the rock, the Deino moved away from Selphie, instead following the sound of the rock in hopes of finding a quick meal. Selphie stood up once Deino was occupied trying to find the rock and picked up a tree-branch that had fallen off a tree. She tip-toed over to Deino while still holding the tree branch, and once she was close enough, she swung it down fast and hard, hoping to hit the Pokémon and knock it unconscious. Only one of those things worked. She successfully hit the Pokémon, but it didn’t exactly faint. “Damn.” Selphie quickly placed her hands over her mouth, realizing it was too late, and that she’d allowed herself to speak up, revealing her location to Deino.
Deino quickly began to turn towards Selphie and walk towards her, snapping its mouth in the air trying to find her by biting around the air in hopes of getting her in its mouth with one of the bites. With no choice, Selphie turned around and frantically ran to a sturdy tree before climbing up it. “Over here!” The Deino charged at the tree, unaware of how sturdy it was. All it knew was that there was a feminine voice, which meant an easy meal.
Faster and faster it ran until it ran directly into the tree causing Deino to fall over into an unconscious state. Deciding it wouldn’t be best to get out of the tree quite yet, Selphie pulled a Pokeball from her purse and dropped it on top of the unconscious Deino in the hopes that she would be seeing herself catching her first Pokémon in a whole new region.

Rex wanders around the Rose Refuge with his 3 pokeballs tucked into his coat pocket. His headphones were on as he listened to some techno music as he walked along the trail. His head bobbed up and down as he went with the beat of the music. To some it would seem like his focus was on the music and not what was infront of him. A root was infront of him just ready to trip him. He takes a step right over it as if he was aware of it being there. The music ends and he takes his headphones off of his head. He settles them around his neck and looks up at the sky. "So what should i be looking for here." He puts his hand to his chin and thinks for a moment.

Something in the nearby bushes rustle and a small spark of electricity comes flying out of it along with a Elekid.

Rex stares at the Elekid "why hello there little guy." The Elekid looks at Rex and walks up close to him. Rex kneels down as the Elekid comes close to him. Elekid points at his Headphone and takes them from around his neck. Rex tilts his head at the Elekid "Now what you going to do with my headphones?" Elekid smirked and put on his headphones then heard the techno music that was playing through it. Elekid started to dance and then eletricity started to go off on his horns.

Rex smiled and took the headphones off Elekid. Elekid's frowned and tried to reach for them again. Rex held them up "So you like that music don't you?" Elekid nodded and kept trying to take them. Rex got his face closed to Elekid and smirked "If you come with me you can listen to this anytime you want. plus you have a good taste in music what do you say?" Elekid nodded but the grabbed his headphone and went back to listening to the music. Electricity started cover the Elekid's body as it danced to the music. After a minute the Elekids ended up overcharging himself into a burn bulb. Rex laughed and smiles "you are some pokemon my little friend." Rex tossed one of his pokeballs towards the Elekid.

Ryan solemnly walked through the Pokemon refuge center. Many Pokemon walked by him, pecking at the grass or simple trying to learn to walk. The Pokemon here were young and experienced in general. Oh well, one has to start somewhere. Ryan's eyes scanned the area after he stopped at a tree. He saw nothing of interesting. Ryan scaled the tree and, once at the top, stood up against a branch and a trunk. The area was beautiful, really. There was a great many trees and ponds filled to the brim with (boring) Pokemon. And the Pokemon, they really were everywhere. I've always been able to catch a common Pokemon before, they've always liked me. This is...hmm.

Ryan began to fade into thought. Did he really, truly need to become a trainer before the end? Why not just end it now? Why not-
"Oof!" Ryan's grip on the branch slacked and he went tumbling through the tree. He hit the ground 10 feet below and managed to stand back up, rubbing his scratched and bleeding arms.
No, living was fine for now. Ryan could feel the fear for his life as he fell, he didn't want to die just yet.

The boy walked out into a cluster of tall grass, away from the trees. A Scyther sauntered by - that'd be a nice catch. Perhaps a flying Pokemon. Maybe a Geodude or some so-
"Oof!" Again, Ryan made the same sound, interrupting his own thoughts, as he tripped over a lump on the ground. He stood back up and kicked at the lump, which went flying into the air.

To his surprise, it was a Pokemon! Some sort of yellow Pokemon...but what was it? The Pokemon screeched and flailed around as it fell back down. Ryan ran and caught it midair.

Smack! Smack! The Pokemon started slamming its palms into Ryan's face repeatedly. He struggled with it and threw it across the yard, trying to gather his scattered thoughts. It ran back at him, shouting a terrifying "Lu!" as it headbutted Ryan in the gut. He went flat on his back with yet another "Oof". Ryan stood back up and grabbed a Pokeball - this Pokemon was resilient. It turned around from where it stood outside the forest of grass and Ryan gasped lowly. It was yellow, yes, but it wasn't supposed to be - the Pokemon before him was a Riolu.

It picked up its feet and screamed another proud "Lu!", charging at Ryan. He chucked his pokeball at the resilient yet damaged Pokemon, hoping for the best.

Bambi & Bit Libretto

The twins both looked at one another before Bambi took the six balls with a bright smile, "Thank you so much, Porfessor Rose! You know you're really pretty! Like a...a---!"

"...Milotic." Bit said lowly. Bambi giggled and the two entered the refuge. Bambi ran ahead with her twin not too far behind, Bit made sure that Bambi stayed in his view. A slight fear that she'd get hurt at the fore-front of his mind.

"Wow! I wonder what type will show themselves first! Maybe a cat-like Pokemon *Nya!* or a dog-like *Woof!*...hahaha, what do you think Bit?" as Bambi excitedly talked she made faces to go with the sound effects she made. The twins came to a stop and Bit reached into Bambi's bag without a word to pull out a pan-flute and an ocarina.

Bambi blinked, "I get it! We use the same method we always use and play the first song that comes to mind! Got cha, little bro." she took the pan-flute, "Let's do it!"

The two started with a bright chipper tune, neither one really sure where it came from as they played, Bit saw a Mareep wander out its round black eyes gazing at him imploringly. Bambi saw a Shinx trot out with a little dance to its step, waiting until the two Pokemon were near the twins glanced to one another and changed the tune. After a few bars the two Pokemon became drowsy and soon after fell into a deep sleep. Bambi silently cheered as Bit smiled underneath his scarf. The two threw a poke-ball at the same time, watching as the ball rocked...

Madeline smiled at thee professor and waved farewell. She then turned to the tall grass. She began to wander around. She saw a group of Aipom in the trees playing. The Hoppip floating on the wind. It was so amazing to her. "Très magnifique!!" She said.

As she continued to walked she saw a small herd of Mareep. As she walked towards them, one heard her footstep and they began to take off. Well, all except one. This one Mareep was the tiniest of the group. Maddie walked closer to it. If puffed up it's wool. "Maaaaa" It tried to defend itself. It's wool was sparking. Maddie picked up a mud ball and tossed it all the Mareep. Plop! It went into it's face.

The petite Mareep ran around frantically. Maddie giggled. "Oui oui, allons-y pokeball!" She tossed the pokeball. It smacked Mareep and sucked it up inside. She waited in anticipation.

It’d been five years since Raiden had even had a Pokémon in his party, since he gave all his Pokémon to Professor Birch once he declared his journey over, but now that he was back on the road, he was kind of nervous about getting his first Pokémon. He had big doubts about the Pokémon because he was afraid that the first Pokémon he’d run into out here in the sanctuary would be something violent like a Kangaskhan who had lost its baby.
The number one thing that made Raiden feel comfort was his ally Lazarus, who seemed to not have a single care in the world about what they would run into out here, then again, Lazarus never stopped journeying like Raiden.

Lazarus nudged Raiden before laughing, “I can tell you’re worried, don’t be!” Raiden quickly shook his head, feeling the need to correct Lazarus, “No I’m not!”
Lazarus sighed, knowing very well that it was pointless to argue with Raiden since Raiden was the type of guy who was much more stubborn than the average human, and so trying to correct him was next to impossible.
Having no conversation to go on, Lazarus turned his attention back to the forest, hoping to find a Pokémon that would be helpful down the line. Just as he was about to call it quits, he saw a Timburr carrying a big piece of wood through the forest. “Alright, I’m going to catch Timburr, I’ll leave you to catch a different one.” Lazarus ran off, leaving Raiden to find a Pokémon of his own, which didn’t take long, because as the Timburr walked around, a small Cyndaquil emerged from the forest close to Timburr, probably because the two knew each other. “And I’ll get Cyndaquil.”
The two approached the Pokémon as stealth fully as possible. When they were close enough, Lazarus pulled two berries from his bag and explained to Raiden, “These are potent sleeping berries. If you take a bite of them, you pass out but they’re also practical because once you eat the berry, it fully restores your health, sort of like the move rest.” After explaining, Lazarus whistled, causing the two Pokémon to turn their attention towards him and Raiden. Then, without a moment of hesitation, he gently tossed the berries to their feet, to which Timburr ate hastily. Cyndaquil on the other hand was a bit reluctant, but after seeing Timburr eat the berry, Cyndaquil did as well.
Timburr was the first to pass out, followed by Cyndaquil a few seconds later. “Alright, I got Timburr.” Lazarus tossed a Pokeball in the direction of Timburr, sealing it inside after a red light formed around the sleeping Pokémon’s body. Raiden tossed his Pokeball at Cyndaquil though and watched carefully to make sure that the Pokémon would be caught. He didn’t want to mess up since this was his first time catching a Pokémon in over five years.

Masamune - Trainer

Masamune walked into the Pokemon refuge center. "Well let's get started." Masamune started to walk around and look in the tall grasses. He was having no success looking for any Pokemon he liked.He looked in a tall and a munchlax came out eating berries. Masamune started to think. Masamune took a couple of the berries from the munchlax and ran away. He then waited in tall grass. He laughed silently to himself. He had put down a couple of berries right in the open. Finally a squirtel walked by and saw the berries. As the squirtel ate the berries Masamune came out and started to beat the squitrel with a stick. He then threw a pokeball.
