Much to his surprise, Alexander actually began to feel a little bit better, once he had gotten a few things off of his chest, and was able to listen to his friends responses to that. Nobody seemed to be judging him for his decision, and thank jack nobody pointed out the obvious fact that despite everything he had done, he had lost Yin anyways.
But it was at least better this way, knowing the other boil was alive, and that he'd done everything he could to save him, even if it had been just a little too late to stop the damage that the hunters had already inflicted on him. He was back, he was among his friends, he was as safe as he could really be, and he no longer had Alex to make him miserable, so now he could possibly find some happiness.
He leaned in to the shoulder squeeze, relishing into the comfort that physical contact provided, tempted to press up against Leo and rest his head on her shoulder as well. Nothing romantic about it, just a zomboil who spent his entire unlife surrounded by others needing that physical reassurance that he was not alone. Still, he refrained, not wanting it to make Leo uncomfortable, instead turning his head and giving her grateful look before letting his attention go back to the conversation between Mort and Mei.
His zombro had mentioned that the jiang shi seemed close to a horsewoman at the Colosseum, and by the description alone Alex assumed it was the same one whom Mei had been paired up with for Prom. He hadn't thought much of it beyond that, except that they must have become close friends, perhaps similar to what Alex and Sal were, or maybe even closer then that. Surely the petite ghoul wouldn't actually be datin----
Wait what was that? Seeing each other...in
that way? ROMANTICALLY?
Alexander's jaw dropped open, as he gaped and stared in silent shock at the ghoul whom he considered to be like a little sister to him. Romantically. She was seeing a horsewoman. Eiseth. The one from prom. Romantically. Romantically.
Romantically. He was too busy trying to process this to be able to say anything at the moment. To say he was shocked was an understatement.
