Xiu instinctively bristled when the shadowy figure appeared, her hands curling into fists as she realized that the figure was a very familiar one—and not familiar for a good reason either. She watched, tight-lipped, as the photos were raised, her gaze skimming over each of the faces. They were faces that she recognized—students, friends—and felt her stomach twist in horror. Did they really have folders of information on all of them? How…? Could it be that they were still gathering information by golems?
She tucked the thought to the back of her mind for now, turning to set a gentle, reassuring hand on Amphi’s shoulder. The last thing she wanted was to make her friend relive all this again, but if she was going to try ridding her of this nightmare, seeing what it was exactly that plagued her was probably important. Grimacing, she gave the mermaid a gentle squeeze, her ears perked up as she listened intently to the other ghoul’s words.
She did not speak, but her expression did change, alternating between anger and sympathy. She was not surprised that there were students willing to sacrifice themselves--Jack knew that she would have done the same--but the next part did surprise her a little.
And anger her. Oh, did it make her mad.
"Tracker" sounded pretty self-explanatory really, but Xiu really, really did not want to watch this. Her hands were tightened into fists as the scene began, and at the first scream, she tore her gaze away, her nails digging into the palms of her hands. Oh Jack, oh Jack, this was what those hunters had done to them!?
Taking a deep breath, she forced herself to look back up, walking around the techs as she tried to take in the scene more fully. She could see the device, and Amphi's face--oh Jack, poor Amphi--but the part they were operating on was obscured from her view. As the mermaid kept screaming, the baku found it increasingly harder to resist the temptation of simply tearing away the nightmare and devouring it, but even if that were to help, it would only be a temporary solution. No, they needed to find a way to clear Amphi's nightmares for good.
When the dream Amphi reappeared, Xiu was quick to wrap her arms around the ghoul in a hug, her brows drawn together as she slowly pulled back. "Did you...see someone about the tracker? Nurse Cricket?"

The dream Amphi clutched tighter at her chest, sobs only came in hushed voice as she tried to regain herself.
"No...No I didn't." She looked at Xiu, "Besides you and Roch, you guys are the only ones that know about it. I couldn't bear to tell anyone else. What if the Tracker did something else in my body?" She clutched tighter, fear and panic rising on her face.
"What if they know about this dream and now they know where to find you...."Kaiyumi WOW TIMELINE FOR THIS IS REALLY FAR BACK ROFL, I don't know if you want to keep rping this or not /tagged anyways

Xiu drew back, but was quick to gently take Amphi's hands in hers, her voice firm as she met the mermaid's eyes. "Amphi, calm down, okay? Don't worry." She gave her friend's hands a gentle squeeze and then frowned as she let herself process this situation.
A tracker...well, assuming it did exactly what a sounded like, that was definitely pretty dangerous. Still, the baku was most definitely not going to allow anyone to harass Amphi just because of something that was out of her control. Slowly, she shook her head. "Do you think Nurse Cricket could remove it, maybe? Or is it...too deep?"
She paused, and then smiled faintly, giving a light shrug of her shoulders. "Don't worry about that, Amphi. I don't think they'd target a single student specifically, and if they want to chase me in dreams, I'll be sure to put up one hell of a fight."Nyxtsuki Moon LMAO I'M ALWAYS COOL WITH CONTINUING RPS, MAN /just slow lately
