"I would certainly be up for that." Echo smiled. All they had to do was sneak a tea kettle out of the kitchen...

Eilaer was always polite when he could be, but occasionally his gentlemanly gestures got read too far into and it had gotten him into trouble before. Echo was different though, special, and it was the best way he knew to show respect for her. "Alright then, sounds like a bit of a plan."

It seemed almost too big, in fact, as it if had been made to accommodate more than those who lived there. Or was this for the servants ? Eilaer would not know for sure, but to Echo it would now seem too vast and empty.

And yet the ghosts never truly seemed to leave...

But for now, a pot of already boiling water, trays, and cups were acquired. With that, they could head into the gardens. There were seats and a table there that they could use. "What tea did you bring ?" She asked, curious.

The bard looked around when they went into the kitchen and seemed a bit curious- perhaps it was for servant use or some similar purpose? Her home was lovely, even if it did seem a bit lonely with as big as it was. His own home was unbelievably tiny by comparison, which suited well enough because he virtually never had guests and hardly stayed there for extended lengths of time himself.

Once they had settled at the table Eilaer opened the satchel he had brought with him. "Hibiscus and Rose hip, Raspberry, Peach, Blackberry...and" He picked up the last packet to read what the innkeeper had written on it. "Lemon." He had tried his best to pick all different sorts, hopefully there would be one she would not mind trying?

She was familiar with some of those - raspberry had always been a favorite, and peach might actually hold her youngest's interest - but Echo had to admit the first in particular was curious. "I have never had hibiscus tea before." Not that she could remember, at least. She might have, a long time ago, for all she knew.

"If you do not mind, of course." She smiled. She liked having company again, the goddess had to admit. It seemed like so long ago now that someone had come to see her.

"Of course I don't mind, Lindora." Eilaer picked up the appropriate packet and set the satchel down beside him. "So, what was it that I interrupted your work on, if I may ask?" Hopefully she would not mind the question, he was genuinely curious after all. While he asked he opened up the packet, pulled out the tea bags and put them into the kettle to steep.

As for the rest of the tea he brought, it was hers if she wanted it to try later.

I was writing down notes and sheet music for them. It is nothing urgent, however." She did not want Eilaer to think that he was disturbing her, or that his visit came at an inopportune time. She reached for the packet and set it off to steep, once it was put forward.

"You could come by sometimes." Music offered. "I am sure they would be happy to see you. They always like it when they have another teacher to play with." Sometimes play was rather literal - she did joke sometimes that she ran a daycare, and not music lessons. The important thing was that everyone had fun, after all.

"I've never been much of a teacher before, but it could be fun." He smiled, genuinely interested in the idea. The bard never really had the opportunity to teach anyone before since his wandering tended to kill the possibility of regular lessons. Still it would be something different to try. Besides, children were generally adorable and he was not sure he could ever say no to Echo. Not that he wanted to in this case.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show."I do enjoy it a lot." But then, it had always been in her nature to teach, to spread and share her art as much as possible. Music was meant to be heard, after all.

When the tea was ready, she poured out each cup carefully before handing one over to her guest. "They are not always the most attentive or disciplined students, but they enjoy themselves and that is what matters." Only a few would remain to be more serious about playing their instruments, and she was prepared for that.

The bard smiled in thanks, taking the cup when she offered it. He nodded, from his small experiences with children it seemed they thrived and grew best when they were happy- the same could be said of anyone really, children just seemed to get the most effect out of it. "Indeed." She probably was a wonderful teacher, and really what better one to have than Music herself even if the children were not aware of it.

Eilaer sipped the tea and sighed contentedly. Even for having only the vaguest of plans things had turned out rather well- he was here having tea with the one who was fast becoming his most favorite company in the world. Hopefully it would become a regular thing, assuming she was not otherwise occupied of course.

The goddess seemed happy to keep chatting on that subject, which was obviously dear to her heart. "Some of the parents do know, but not all of them." She prefered to shift down to teach - it helped ease down the 'rift' in between goddess and mortals, and having her wings out of the way did help.

Echo took a sip of the tea, and was apparently pleased with the tea's taste.

"Some of them might figure it out in time, you never know." Children were inquisitive and clever after all.

He smiled, glad to see she seemed to be enjoying the tea. "Good, I'm glad I at least managed to pick out one you would enjoy." The innkeeper had made some wonderful suggestions and there were a lot more that had sounded tempting. Perhaps he could bring a different tea every visit maybe?

Perhaps it was a little bit presumptuous assuming there would be more than one visit...

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show."It would not surprise me in the least." Really, she knew how clever children could be - and not just divine children. Behind their innocence often hid a greater understanding that most thought possible - and they where often more perceptive than adults, as well.

"I am not as hard to please as you seem to think me to be." There was amusement in her tone. The task might have seem daunting to one who did not know her - after all, how could one please a goddess ? Really, she was rather down-to-earth. Simply spending time with the bard made her happy.

The bard's cheeks colored visibly as he glanced away. She had tripped him up on something he had even realized he was doing.

The winged elf was silent for a few moments before speaking again. "I try my best not to presume anything...but it seems I have anyway." The voice changed just so, perhaps enough to let Echo know what had happened- he was now his more feminine self again. Eilaer glanced back at her and smiled shyly. "I am sorry, Lindora."

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show."There is no need to be so concerned..." It seemed like she might have tripped up her newest follower somewhat - and the gender chance got a bit of a raised eyebrow, but otherwise went unspoken about. It seemed like the goddess was getting used to the bard's particular quirk.

This was honestly a little awkward. "I meant only to tease. Did I go too far ?" Maybe it had been too long, since she had truly been around others that she might have issue gauging reactions anymore. "I am the one who should be sorry, and I am. Perhaps it had been... too long."
