That reasoning did make sense. It made Robert pause just enough for Deryk to slice him up so well, he felt it deep down where he really shouldn't. He hissed and hopped back, holding Jezebel up in front of him, but he needed a minute to recover. Admittedly, even if Deryk spoke ill of himself, that was a really good hit.
"Better to be a nerd than an idiot." He admitted quietly, before standing up straight. "Good hit. Goddamn." The grin was back, and all sadness was out the window.
"Fine, maybe I'll teach you something.. until it gets uncomfortable."

Deryk never saw Robert dance. A part of him was worried it was something like.. belly dancing now. Something that would be incredibly awkward for a guy.
The image of Robert belly dancing or dancing like a stripper caused the trainee to sort of attack awkwardly.

That question hit him hard. What kind of dancing did he know? What kind didn't he know? He'd just assumed..
"Well uh, I'm trained in classical ballet, contemporary rhythm, and all the ballroom dances. I guess I just assumed you wanted to learn how to dance with a partner. Which is why it's.. kind of.."
This conversation just got weirder than Robert's tolerance levels allowed. He swung Jezebel around his neck, and brought her back around to knock Deryk in the knees and bring him down.

"O-oh! That would explain that," Deryk remarked before yelping as he was knocked down to his knees after getting struck there. That hurt!
"A-anything will.. do really.. doesn't have to be partner stuff... um.. n-not like I'll really.. use that.. most likely.."
He wasn't exactly a lady's man and all.
While he was still down, he lunged out to try and stab Robert in the leg to bring him down too.

Robert came down onto the floor with a crash, and slammed his head against the hard ground. "********' s**t DERYK, remind me to always bring you to any battle. You're a mother ********' ASSASSIN, BRO."

He lazily got to his feet, cracked his back, and started flipping Jezebel in his hands. When he felt an opening was available, he carefully lunged for it. He wasn't gonna take it easy with this guy, anymore. He knew what he was doing.
"I guess I could teach you some contemporary dance moves. If you win."

Still, he couldn't help but have a crack of a smile there.
"A-alright. Sounds good to me."
A sharp burst of pain ripped through him as Jez sliced into him again. Stumbling back, Deryk decided he should go ahead and unleash Tooley. He wanted to win. Maybe he would fail a little less in life in general if he at least knew some decent dance moves.
Green light burst from the hidden blade, coming to a point before it. With a shout, he lunged at Robert to try and stab into him.

Robert just figured, later on in the infirmary, that Deryk really, really wanted to learn how to dance. When a guy wants something bad enough, there was no stopping him.
At the moment, however, the only thing Robert could think of as the green energy sliced through him, destroying his Fear shield and slicing across his belly, cutting actual skin and splattering blood in a thin spray, was -<******** stumbled backward, dropped down to his knees, and then loomed like a falling tree, toppling forward with his hand on his stomach.
He was just barely conscious, as the hit had knocked him out for just a moment, but he looked pretty gone.

Ok, that might have been a little too much on Deryk's part. The death trainee cringed as he saw Robert go down pretty hard.
"s**t!" he cried out while quickly dismissing Tooley. Rushing on over, he tried to look over the other frantically, but he had managed to get in a pretty nasty cut right there. Not one of the little nicks he had received himself.
And so the trainee tried to pick up the other in an attempt to bring him to the infirmary.
This only ended up with him dropping Robert onto himself.
