Kat could only roll her eyes as he spoke about his priestess. What were they? Her puppets? Though, the same could be said for her own kind, she supposed. Following orders and what not, even if it didn't quite seem like something they'd approve of. Then again, she hadn't had a problem with any of the orders so far.
Gritting her teeth as his grip tightened, Kat shrunk back a little as he leaned in, returning his glare with one of her own.
Her grin reappeared, gaze still locked onto his. "I have my reasons." She replied, still struggling to break free of his hold. She knew how this was going to end, she lost this battle before it was over.
:Kat!: I know! During the time he had held her in place, she had been secretly charging Xedis for a finishing blow. This was likely to take her out of the game, but if it cut him down to size in the process, all the better. Grin widening, the huntress twisted in mid air, aiming her weapons directly at him for her final move. "Likewise!" Pulling the triggers, she unleashed her attack upon the horsemen.
Between the attack and colliding with the wall, Kat fell to the ground barely awake to see the light show before blacking out. For a moment, all Shik knew was a flash of light and a burst of sound.
Then, eventually, he became aware of the deep-seated ache in his chest, back, and head. He attempted to move his wings but felt that they were pinned underneath him and against something hard. His hand scrabbled against the wall, scraping gashes in the wallpaper as he forced himself up - Shik realized somewhere in the span of a few seconds he had ended up on the floor, in the very corner he had first been found. The difference laid in the spray of blood he now had staining his skin and bandages from the multiple wounds he had suddenly sustained.
Exhausted as he was, the horseman steadied himself against the wall and yanked himself to his feet, grimacing as he touched one of the larger wounds in his shoulder, barely stemming the flow of blood. Not bad, he thought grudgingly as he turned his gaze to the fallen hunter. Not bad at all. His shield was vey weak, and Shik was sure if she had put just a little more into it that he might very well have been at her mercy.
Slowly the giant lumbered over to her, trying to concentrate his FEAR into closing the wounds but finding it impossible to conjure up. That had been what the buzz in his head was about! Cursing, Shikoba spread his wings to balance himself and crouched beside the enemy, a shadow of a smile on his face. He brushed aside her bangs with his bloody knuckles and pressed one nail on the skin beneath, dragging it upwards to her hairline; a thin strip of red followed.
"Mmm . . . And so battle goes. Sleep well, little huntress." And with a grunt the horseman pulled himself up and eased his way out of the room, pressing a hand to his wounds so that he might stop bleeding all over the damn place.
