LuLu's eyes narrowed. Sevilin's recoil was blood in the water. The rabbit could practically taste her small victory against the other frei. She had hit a nerve somehow and it had hurt Sevilin. The mowhawked behemoth pinning her to the floor seemed much less cumbersome now. She could not choke the sea fairy out, but she certainly could toss a few more insults his way. The girl sneered, "No you don't. It is only about you."
Josh reached the group on the floor. He gently tugged Sevilin up from We'rika's back. The guardian finally got around to doing his job properly. He scolded his frei with a stern look. "That is enough Lu."
LuLu practically rolled her eyes as she continued. "You do not help or care. You only take. Selfish." Josh's finger waggling and tutting would not stop her today. There was an anger burning in her that was not going to be sated by playing the "good little princess".

The sea fairy didn't realize Josh had grabbed him until he was pulled off We`rika. He thought about struggling, but he figured it would only force him to pull him completely out of the room and that was not allowed. Sevilin refused to lose this confrontation by default because he was unwillingly dragged out of it.
"You're just jealous of what I've got, that's all!" Why did he have to suffer this woman's stupid envy just because she wasn't sweet enough to get what she wanted on her own? Who was she to judge him?! She was just like him and--And... ....
We`rika finally got his face out of her chest and breathed in his first new gulp of air. Those things were like bottomless pits! But there was no time to savor it! Soon enough she would be back at full biting capacity, so he kept his hands tight around her arms like iron manacles. He heard Josh's feeble attempt to scold his raevan and rolled his eyes as well. There was no point trying to stop them--Obviously, they didn't need to punch and choke each other out, but sometimes s**t needed to be said. He certainly wasn't going to censor his son and the older man felt that Lulu needed to speak her mind as well. Frankly, he was ******** tired of these stupid squabbles. Why couldn't women just duke it out and then let it be over with? No, they had to just bite at each other little by little until one of them lost their mind! What a pain in the a**.

LuLu gaped, "Jealous?" She paused for a few seconds as though absorbing the word. Her brows crinkled together. "Why would I be jealous of you?" She was genuinely curious about the other frei's answer. Besides his ability to be a larger pain in the a** than herself, Lu was certain that they were almost evenly matched. In fact, they were similar in a few ways. The rabbit growled low in her throat and shoved the thought from her mind.
Josh held onto Sevilin. He did not want to be tricked a second time. For now, he would stay on guard and let the two vent their last frustrations. At least, he hoped that was how things would play out. He did not want to see them riling each other up again.

"Everything!" Sevilin screamed, frustrated beyond words. It was like talking to a brick wall with boobs that also back-sassed. "I'm prettier, I'm nicer, I have more friends! Why wouldn't you be? I actually have my own house, unlike some hobo furbags around here!"
He could see his guardian open his mouth to correct him, but he thought better of it. It was his house if he said so, and the frei wouldn't appreciate being undermined while he was in the middle of battle.

LuLu scoffed. "A home makes you better? That is your worth? You are a spoiled and selfish." The rabbit hopped onto her own pedestal and prepared herself to preach at her one man audience. Sevilin was in for an earful whether the frei liked it or not. "Show more humility. People could stand you then."
Her eyes narrowed from behind her hood. "You'll get real friends. Not people to use and toss."
It may have been the pot calling the kettle black. However, LuLu was not about to back down from speaking her mind. "You give yourself enough attention. Why should I care what you say?"

I'll make you care when I punch you right in the face is what Sevilling wanted to say, but that was terribly uncivilized! The blond bimbo had brought him down to her violent level once, but he refused to let it turn into a habit. The sea frei bested everyone with his looks and his words; she was no one special when it came to his charms, and yet she went out of her way to be willfully disobedient to his wishes.
Sevilin always thought beggars couldn't be choosers. He supposed she never got that memo, because if she had, she would know that everyone was supposed to care. Whether they hated him or loved him, it still brought attention on him. If he were simply ignored--No, he wouldn't have that! The little raevan had been ignored most of his young life, all alone with no one to turn to except the character on television. That would never happen again! He would just have to leave her first! That would show her!
Turning up his nose at her boring little quips, Sevillin sneered down his cute little nose (despite the damn band-aid). "Your pitiful excuse for a mom should have broken your stupid tiara long ago instead of letting your stupid hopes build up. All that was coming to you was your inevitable downfall from that rubbish pile you called a throne! you are the poorest excuse for a princess I have ever met! Pigs are more regal than you, ya monster! All you're good for is oozing stink sludge like an ugly octopus!" With that, he turned away and gave her the cold shoulder.

LuLu had told herself she would not care. Sevilin's quips were usually only meaningless words in her ears. She knew she was not a fat pig or and ugly cow. She had enough self awareness to quickly and effortlessly cut down those lies. Nevertheless, the last insult he hurled at her had an uncharacteristic bite she had not expected. He had struck close to home in a way that the rabbit was unprepared for, because some of his words hit straight and true into her deepest insecurities.
Ever since the first black blotch had appeared and LuLu had taken to hiding in a jacket, she had begun to question her place as a 'perfect' princess. Princess did not ooze. They did not have mysterious dark rashes that spread up their limbs day by day. More importantly, LuLu found herself wringing her hands nervously at the mention of ink. She had used that ability to save them both from the sea snake and now Sevvie was using it as fuel to set the girl ablaze. Even if she did good, with this sickness, was she no longer capable of being a princess?
Of course, LuLu had her uncouth moments around Sevvie and... others. Usually she was the one to start the violence which did seem very unladylike on paper. Instinct was in her nature though. Even if she is a bit wild, with this sickness, would she call herself a monster?
LuLu gulped down a knot in her throat. Her eyes stung. She was unsure if she wanted to give up the fight for her throne or her fight against her illness. Though, there was one thing she was sure of.
She was through with Sevvie for today. Scratch that, she was done with EVERYONE. LuLu floated wordlessly and slipped past Josh into their temporary room. The boy was about to follow after her when the door was slammed into his face. Her guardian took a few steps back astounded, but made no move to follow after her. He could try to chase her. He might even get past the door with some struggle. Yet, in the end, it would come down to a frightened child scolding an equally frightened child. LuLu and Josh had both been tossed into overwhelming situations. The frei had been battling with her sickness while her guardian had been struggling to grow up fast enough for the both of them. It scared Josh when he realized he had no clue what he could do for his frei. He was not wise. He was not particularly witty. He too was a shaken pile of fear and anger right now. Josh did the first thing that came naturally to him. He froze up. He left LuLu alone in the room to think on her own.

"Welp..." That had been quite a sight. We`rika was just relieved no one lost a limb and the cops didn't have to be called out on a domestic dispute between two torsos. Getting his old a** up off the floor was a bit of a struggle, but after a bit of grumbling and a few well-placed hands on the wall, the man got up on his sore, tired feet. Unfortunately, he had no words for Josh. There was nothing he could do to fix this until it ran its course, and that included personal fuming time.
All he could do was pat his shoulder as he passed him by, set on ushering Sevilin elsewhere... But he apparently had other ideas.
"Don't touch me!" he snapped, pulling away from his guardian's reach. He of all people did not need coddle or scolding. Someone had to say it, and that burden had fallen to him when the rest were too cowardly to bring it up! Wings flitting back and forth with obvious irritation, he did his best interpretation of storming off into the kitchen to play with his dog. Sprinkles was tons more fun than Lulu and he couldn't even communicate outside of barking and pooping. That said a lot about the both of them in Sevilin's opinion.
"Ah, Chris'--" Wiping his fingers through his short bleached hair, he simply shook his head. "Well, if ya end up sleepin' on th'couch tonigh', lemme know and I'll getcha another blanke'... Hopefully they'll both calm down enough ta come outta their sulk corners later..."

Josh felt a strong hand brush past his shoulder. He offered the older man a glance and a shrug of his arms. However, he could not bear to let We'rika see him face on. The boy could tell by the way the muscles in his face were contracted he probably looked like a kicked puppy right about now, confused and hurt. He did not want others to see him that way. Especially not a fellow guardian. They had both been chosen for a reason. He was supposed to be a role model for his raevan. Yet, he found his situation quickly spiraling out of control. Ever since the fel virus he had been losing his footing and he still did not know how to get it back. He mumbled dully to keep fear seeping from his voice, "I am going out to think on things myself."
Josh waited for Sevilin and We'rika to settle back down into their own tasks before he walked out the door.

"Kay," We`rika said without much care or worry, taking up a seat on his couch. The remote had found its way into the crusty underbelly of the couch where Sevilin and he had spent many a day and night eating junk food and vegging out. He missed those days; they were a lot less complicated.
"Bring back a pack of beer while you're at it!" The kids might be underage, but a good buzz could help a lot of problems... or they could make them worse, but hopefully Josh wasn't one of those people. They already had one in this house, and one was more than enough for everyone involved.
Making sure Sevilin wasn't going to initiate a sneak attack on the girl while she was most vulnerable, he craned his neck around to see him still feeding Sprinkles. One locked in her room, another in too much denial to deal with his piss-poor attitude properly, and lastly a boy way out of his element (rather familiar for We`rika). "Goddamn this family," he grumbled before turning on the television.
