It's only part of what fuels his anger he keeps burried inside. Despite feeling like a monster he still tries to show the tribe hes not the monster he feels he is and they see him as. I don't think there will be any 'revelation' of his father. but if he were to meet a kinder person in the ice tribe he wouldn't feel like such a monster and may lessen a bit of his anger.

Watching Arew's internal struggles will certainly be interesting.
