She commenced with stroking the kittens fur, nodding as Jett described the gym and made a mental note to be there at that time on Thursday. She hesitated, looking up when he asked about the cat. For this, she only grinned. “What do you think I’m going to do with it? I’m taking it back to my dorm and keeping it. Clearly.”
Mesolite was excited to meet Remarque outside of…well, outside of himself. “What’s your name when you’re not. You know. You. Will I even know you then? I guess I will. I don’t know how this works really. But. I’m Marybeth. So…”
She hesitated, then grinned. “So, I guess I’ll go up to every guy with blonde hair and blue eyes and ask if they’re you, sound good? I’ll be wearing something uh. Bright and colorful, so that should help you. Should I wear workout clothes? Like a bodysuit and legwarmers or something? Because I do have some. I could be ‘that girl’, if you wouldn’t be too embarrassed to be seen with me.” She would at least wear a rainbow something. It would be easy enough to figure out just who she was…probably. “Guess I have to wear gym shoes? Or are tennis shoes good enough? Cause I have a wicked cool pair of rainbow tennis shoes.”

For the briefest moment, Remarque wondered if this had the potential to be a very bad idea. On one hand, he wanted to help the girl and make sure she wouldn't be dead weight if he ever needed her help. On the other hand, he suspected she was at least partially insane.
"You can wear whatever you want," he said after brief consideration. "Just as long as you wear something that's not going to make you overheat or get you killed on a machine or something. Wear something comfortable. If you come in something colorful, I'm sure I'll be able to pick you out. But, yes. You look for blonde hair and blue eyes and you'll find me. Jett," he introduced, figuring it was only fair to drop his first name if she was willing to drop hers. "…So I suppose I'll see you then. I'll leave you to deal with…that," he said, eying the cat. "So you have a good night. Good seeing you again. You've got a good punch, just keep working on it and you'll be good in no time," he said, offering her a slight wave as he prepared to make his departure.

Mesolite cradled the cat in her arms and nodded. “Jett. That’s an interesting name, but. It’s not a bad one, I guess. And this isn’t a that, this is a cat.” She grinned up at him then nodded her head in response to his wave. “Have a good night as well. I look forward to starting up at the gym. I mean, if you really think it’ll help me to get better at…well. Everything. If only it could make my paperclips less dumb. That would be nice.”
She shook her head, then began walking off, turning her head once and giving a cheerful shout of, “See you on Thursday!” before finally making her leave.
No, Remarque was a nice guy in her book. At least he seemed to be. Now she would be able to see if his Jett side was a nice guy too, or if he was an arrogant pig headed p***k like most of the guys in the city.
The lieutenant sighed and stroked the cat in her arms. “At least you and I are going to be friends now, little kitty.” She grinned, then made her way back to her dorm, excited to sneak the cat in.
