You shout it loud, but I can't hear a word you say I'm talking loud, not saying much I'm criticized, but all your bullets ricochet you shoot me down, but I get up Pureblood SingleNell giggled at the back-and-forth between Marina and her pet kitten before clapping excitedly and grabbing her hand to lead. As they began walking her two chickens came across their path clucking loudly to one another. "Well, this is the front area. As you can see this is where a lot of my pets are, right here are the two hens Gladys and Helen. I rescued them off the back of a chicken truck when they were just chicks. Oo! And skulking underneath the porch is our cat Minx, he's hypoallergenic cuz my Da's allergic. You've already met my hamster Henry-" who decided to make himself known by poking his furry head out of her jacket pocket. The small Scot chuckled at her pet while petting him with two fingers "He likes to believe everything is about him. Umm...oh! Dusty is over in the grass near where the owls have their posts. And over in that small hut is Pengoo! C'mon, he's been expecting you hehe." Nell led her probably bemused friend over to the small hut off to the side of the house and felt the usual icy coldness that permeated from hut. First she knocked on the top of the hut and waited expectantly as her baby flew out into her arms. "Marina, this is our baby, Pengoo. Pengoo, this is Marina." she giggled at the cute squawk the penguin gave. Wearing Mood: Shocked Thoughts: Holy cricket, is that a penguin?! With: Nell and the menagerie Location: Ellis HomeMarina's mouth fell open in disbelief as a penguin jumped into Nell's arms. A penguin. What the heck was a penguin doing in Scotland? How had she even gotten a penguin? And was it legal? With all these questions buzzing around in her head, she tentatively stepped forward and stroked Pengoo's head. "Hello, Pengoo. Nice to meet you." She shook her head slowly. "How... You know what? I don't want to know." the teen mumbled. Prejudice is stubborn and ignorance is hard.

"If it pleases the court, Pengoo is perfectly legal...here. As long as he doesn't go off the property he's fine." She put the penguin back on the ground after petting him and rubbing his small hairless stomach-which he purred during-before placing him back in his freezing hut. Wearing Mood: Excited Thoughts: Cliffs or lake? Hmm... With: Nell Location: Ellis HomeMarina thought about it for a moment, still recovering from seeing an actual penguin. "The cliffs. I've never been to any actual cliffs before." she answered. Dunstable didn't have any, anyways. The only time she usually left her hometown was to go to London and Hogwarts. Money was tight; always had been for them, and the Slytherin hadn't had a vacation over summer holidays in a long time. The last time they'd gone had been to Blackpool Sands in South Devon, if she recalled correctly. The redheaded girl had been five. Her father had taught her how to swim on that trip. She smiled slightly at the memory and waited for Nell to show her the way. Prejudice is stubborn and ignorance is hard.

"They're quite a climb to the top but once you're on one its like seeing the entire world spread in front of you." she spoke honestly. As they were walking up the slowly steeping mountain side. Around them was grasses with flowers sprouting from them and birds fluttering around singing their song. "I know it's not exactly London or any other big city, but it's rather peaceful. No outside noise, no hustle and bustle to the next place, just...being." the shorter teen began to blush lightly hearing herself speak. As they were climbing higher they began to see some of the sights off the side of the cliffs, including a view of the surrounding cliffs. A few more staggering minutes and soon Nell gave a resounding whoop and began to pull Marina faster up the side before stopping and smiling wide. "Isn't it grand?!" she laughed. Wearing Mood: Shocked Thoughts: Oh my God... With: NellMarina gasped as she saw the spectacular view. "It's so beautiful." she said in awe, catching her breath. She sat on the ground, reveling in the nature around her. "You're lucky, getting to live out here. It's so...different from what most people are used to." She really hadn't appreciated the countryside, the Slytherin realized. After a minute or two of companionable silence, the redhead just listening and allowing herself to just let her thoughts flow, the screech of an owl rent the air. A letter spiraled down, landing in her lap, and she immediately recognized Ronyo's handwriting. Quote: Flash! Badger-2 has been taken! Dragon-1 currently on trail, looking to link up with Lion-Actual. Eagle-2, Lion-2, and Dragon-2 to link up with Badger-1 and begin gathering intel on situation. Rally point to come through Badger-1. "Oh my God..." she muttered in horror, realizing what the letter meant as she flicked her wand over it. How could this have happened? Who would want to hurt Heather? She looked over at Nell. The teen couldn't tell her friend about the instructions in the letter, indeed even as her mind raced it disappeared with the summer breeze, but she had a right to know what had happened to Heather. "Nell...My friend just wrote me. Heather 's been taken by someone." Marina stared at the ground miserably. If she knew Ronyo, her vacation would be over. It sounded like a rescue mission was being planned. She might have to leave at a moment's notice. Of course her parents would never let her go. Some extremely good lying would have to be done. This was not the summer she had envisioned. But she was being selfish, she realized. Heather might be hurt right now, or dying, or already dead. Who knew what sort of psycho had taken her. Wearing Mood: Determined Thoughts: I have to find the article... With: Nell Location: Ellis HomeMarina shook her head. "That's all it was." She stared out at the loch for a moment and the turned back to Nell, her eyes blazing. There was no point in sitting around crying. She had to look for clues and, wait for Jane to contact her. Time to get to work. "Nell, do you get the Daily Prophet? There's probably an article on Heather's disappearance. We can read it and find out more about what's going on." She rose to her feet, straightening her hat. "Let's go." The redhead extended a hand towards her friend to help her up. Nell seemed devastated. Marina hadn't been aware that Nell was such a close friend to Heather. She herself didn't really know the girl all that well. They'd only chatted several times, and said hello to each other when they ran into each other, but that was about it. But they were still friends; fellow Chimeras. They'd promised to always have each others' backs. The teen was determined to never break that promise. Prejudice is stubborn and ignorance is hard.

"Da can't stand it but Mum likes to be caught up in what's happening." She saw the determined glint in her friends eyes and felt proud and guilty at the same time. She was proud of her friend for wanting to help someone she's only spoken to a few times and not even in the same house! While here she was a 'puff and had practically fallen apart at the time. Well, not anymore! If Marina could stand tall, she would too. Taking her hand and hardening her hazel eyes she followed her friend back down the slope side until they were back to the house. She then ran into the house and led the way into the kitchen looking for the paper and finding it underneath her dad's lunch plate. "Sorry Da we need this. Oh, and this is Marina, Marina my Da Gerald Ellis." he could only wave with his mouth full as his youngest took the paper from him. Wearing Mood: Determined Thoughts: Here it is... With: Nell Location: Ellis Home Marina sat down on the front porch steps. Jet meowed at her, looking curious, but she absentmindedly waved him away as she pored over the article. Quote: Missing People out of Hogwarts! Three students, One Staff Missing From Hogwarts. -By Alicia Alvern Hogsmeade When the Hogwarts Express pulled into Kings Cross Station today filled with many students returning home for the summer Holiday, many families awaited for their children to come home. Yet two families would not be reunited with their children for the summer holiday. The Families of Remmittue Bleiddiaid, Heather Hawthorn, and Caitlin Engels, find they are still awaiting their children as the platform cleared. Remmittue Bleiddiaid, the adopted daughter of the Hawthorn family, and her sister, Heather Hawthorn, were sighted with Caitlin Engels, at Hogsmeade Station shortly before the Hogwarts Express was to leave the station in the company of an unknown male. Ministry Officials are currently working to find the three missing students. Another disappearance was reported from Hogsmeade as well, that of the Hogwarts Caretaker, Jack Terran, seems to have simply vanished from inside Hogwarts Grounds. The Headmistress, Inari Evernight, declined comment to the Daily Prophet on any of the disappearances. It is unknown if there are any connection between the missing students and staff from Hogwarts, despite the fact they vanished only hours apart. Rumors have been heard throughout the country that these events related to the the recent crime spree throughout the country, all said to be committed by the same group of dark wizards. The Ministry asks that anyone with any information on these disappearances please report it to Head Auror Arthur Radcliffe immediately. "So it's not just Heather missing," Marina muttered. "Caitlin and Remy were taken too. And the caretaker is gone." She exhaled, thousands of theories swarming through her mind. It couldn't be a coincidence that the caretaker was missing and three students were at the same time. There had to be a connection. "Why would they leave with someone, though?" the redhead asked aloud. "There's no way he got them to leave through force; the station was packed at that time. If he had a wand pointed at them someone would have noticed. Plus it would have been three against one. He must have had something to lure them away with." She reread the article. "Group of dark wizards... So it seems like this guy who got them to leave was with this group. What would a bunch of dark wizards want with three teenage girls, though? And if they took the caretaker, what would they want with him?" The Slytherin girl sighed. "They had to have something in common, the girls and the caretaker. Something the dark wizards wanted. But I have no clue what." Prejudice is stubborn and ignorance is hard.

Her heart thundered in her ears when she read the both Remy and Caitlin had been taken as well but she didn't lose control like before, she couldn't afford to no matter how much it hurt. Oh Dantur, please protect my friends and lead them home safely she silently prayed. When her friend began to think out loud to why they might've been taken along with the caretaker she began to think on what she knew about the girls. "Well, most dark wizards hate abnormalities within the magical system. That includes half-bloods, muggleborns, magical creatures and the like. I know Caitlin was a muggleborn but Heather and Remy are adopted. I don't know what their blood status is...All I know is that their parents run the Apothecary that my brother works at." she ended rather put-out. Wearing Mood: Determined Thoughts: Hmm... With: Nell Location: Ellis Home "Oh boy, do I know about that." Marina muttered. She had plenty of experience with being the 'filth of magical society'. The redhead pondered Nell's words for a moment. "But why would they be kidnapped? I would think a dark wizard who hated them for being 'abnormalities' would just kill them on the spot, not go through the trouble of kidnapping them. It's like the dark wizards wanted something from them." She shook her head. "But I'm just guessing here. There's really not all that much information. We'll just have to wait for more updates." She really hoped Jane contacted her soon. When people went missing, time was of the essence. The sooner Heather, Remy, and Caitlin were found the better. The Slytherin silently prayed that they weren't being harmed, but she knew the possibility of them being perfectly fine was slim. People could be cruel, sick savages when they wanted to. "Well, since the last war, maybe they got smarter about it. Killing I mean. But you're right, we do need more information before we figure out the Who and Why." The sun was hidden behind the mountains now so the cats stopped fighting for light and were now romping for play. Marshmallow Jane Doyle's Owl A small owl appears caring a small note for Marina. It holds the note out gentle waiting for the recipient to take the note. Dear Marina, I hope this reaches you okay. I would assume that you have been apprised of the situation. At this current moment I'm not sure there is much we can do but it never hurt anyone to try. I'd like to meet up as soon as possible. Send your location with Marshmallow and I'll be there as soon as I can. - Jane ooc: hopes this works okay! tell me if I need to change anything

Wearing Mood: Surprised Thoughts: Good, she's coming With: Nell Location: Ellis HomeMarina glanced up at the sound of wing beats. She stood up and reached a hand out, taking the letter from the small owl. "I wonder..." she murmured as she opened the letter. Jane was coming. Good. Jane would know what to do, maybe have more information. She was much older and wiser than Marina, anyways. The redheaded girl rummaged in her backpack for a quill and wrote a quick response to the letter. Dear Jane,
I've been notified of the situation, yes. I'm staying at a friend's house on Loch Lomond. Her family runs the Loch and Key Inn. You can't miss it. We'll be waiting at the house. By the way, my friend is a friend of Heather's. She'll want to help. Don't worry, I haven't told her about the Chimera Club.
-MarinaShe gave it to the owl and watched it fly away before turning to Nell. "My friend Jane is on her way. We're going to try to find Heather, I think, with some others. I'll probably have to leave soon and without your parents' permission. I'm sorry Nell, but I have to help in whatever way I can. You can come along if you want, but it might be dangerous." The Slytherin knew it would probably shock Nell but she didn't know what else to say. She couldn't tell her anything more. I'm going to get in so much trouble for this... Marina thought grimly. But what could she do? She had her her duty as a Chimera. Prejudice is stubborn and ignorance is hard.
