Seychelles cheerfully began setting up her stall. She could see that many around her, including her brother, Francis, were already set up, but she had just arrived, so for now she resisted the temptation to visit others' booths and worked on her own. She had meant to bring a tasty seafood dish, but after burning it, she decided not to try again. Her booth, though not the most interesting, it was most certainly the most colorful, with her blue, yellow, red, white and green flag hanging in the corner, and tiny versions or the flag scattered around. Overall her booth was quite cheerful, with all the bright colors, plus the cheerful African music. She also had a few pictures of her beautiful islands, with their sparkling blue waters, and their white sandy beaches, it was clear why people called Seychelles a paradise.

Once she got the booth set up she sat there for a moment. Part of her wanted to dance right now, with the music playing it was hard to resist, but part of her wanted to check out some of the other booths, mostly because she wanted to see if she could find Andrew. She eventually decided to look at the other booths first, and wait to do her sega when more people were here.

So she wandered around for a bit until she found a booth that was playing a cheerful 70's song which reminded her to when she first gained her independence and visited America for the first time in a long time. So she walked up to the booth. "Bonjour." She said to the blonde boy who was dancing behind it.

Kartlos glanced around the room as he set up his booth. He had prepared khinkali last night and reheated the meat filled dumplings this morning. They were sitting on a plate for anyone who wanted to try them. He was wearing a chokha, his traditional Georgian clothing. He played his Georgian music and sang on Georgian, though not too loudly, since he knew there were others who brought music. Speaking of music, who was that playing Beach Boys? Kartlos was getting a bit annoyed by the 70's music, when he located the source of it- Landon. That was a bit unexpected. He laughed a bit, then smiled and waved at Landon.

He arrived at the festival to find it much more quiet than he’d thought it would be. Granted, it wasn’t very quiet, but not enough people had shown up for it to be the truly rowdy and vivacious event he had imagined it would be. Romero set down his things and began arranging them accordingly. On the table went the cachapa, cocada, and pastiche, with tropical chicha on the opposite edge of the table. The alcoholic fruit drinks ought to be popular later in the day, when the temperatures heated up. Tuning his iPod speakers to a particularly energetic piece of joropo, the Venezuelan began gliding through the moves of his matador waltz.

Tennessee put a hand on Iris' side to get her to stop as they arrived and began to set up the booth. Maybe he could get most of the heavy lifting done before North Carolina arrived. Not that he didn't think she could do it, and he knew she would, but he preferred as the brother to do those sorts of things himself. Once he had most of the big boxes pulled in he started to unload different Appalachian artifacts. Most of them were relatively simple things like quilts and similar crafts from the old days. Assuming his sister would bring most of the real food, Andrew only put out jars of Maypop Jam and Moonshine Jelly for people to try when they visited.

Once Andrew was satisfied, he settled down next to Iris where he could pluck aimlessly at his guitar while they waited on Charlotte to finish her reporting. Or for a visitor to show up. Which ever came first.

The State of Tennessee

Iris raised her head from where she had been munching on grass when she heard someone say her name and snorted happily in greeting when she saw her state's neighbor. It was always nice to see a familiar face.

Tennessee also looked up from his guitar picking and waved at Alabama although it lacked the usual warmth and enthusiasm he had for one of his siblings. He only offered a half hearted smile when Johnny made his joke even though he normally loved jokes.

"Been better, I guess," he said. "Not too bad, though... At least the weather is nice. How are you doin'?"
