here's a place where you can share your ideas on what your character will be wearing to the festival, what dish he/she will be bringing, and maybe what kind of music will you use for him/her. will you make 'em do a traditional folk dance?

I'll have Mexi wear her traditional dress, and maybe bring some fajitas, served with red rice and beans. ^^
Spain: either wear his old outfits, or maybe his matador outfit ^^ he'll be bringing paella, tapas and, of course, churros~ >w<
Estonia: luckily, I have a few pics of him in his old outfits, as for food... would anyone be interested in eating something called blood sausages~? >:3
Sweden: still searching for something traditional, other than his war outfits, and looking up Swedish dishes. And I'm pretty sure Swedish meatballs count D:<

Jack isn't coordinated enough to do any folk dances. I AM SHUT UP. It's just tha' most o' the times I've tried is when I'm drunk because tha's the only time I would want to do tha'. Of course. As for clothing, I'll have to look up something specific since I'm not really an expert on old timey clothes. And he'll probably bring some food and try to make it something that won't make other people miserable for eating it. MY FOOD IS PERFECTLY ALRIGHT.your input is not necessary. OH OH AND HE CAN PLAY LIKE MUSIC eue Edit: I drew an outfit for him to wear after doing some actual research. I do know what the full outfit would look like, I just didn't want to draw a full body drawing because I hate drawing legs.As for music, I picked this. It's technically blue grass, which is Southern music, but I'm limited in my ability to find traditional Irish music so this is the closest thing I've found. It's basically Irish anyway. It's called "County Clare". So that's...yeah. other than that I think I'm good. Oh and he'll probably bring some kind of candy or baked goods or something. But I doubt Jack would want to bake. So he'll bring candy.

For Vietnam, I think I might make her wear something like this. She will be bringing a lot of food, I'm too lazy to look it up right now, but spring rolls are a must! And she'll, um... she'll play the moon lute, I think. Here's a pretty song! But maybe if I beg enough, she'll do some dancing like this! For Wy, she's going to wear a more traditional outfit. Hmm for what she'll be bringing to the festival, probably something else than what Australia will be bringing, probably something with Vegemite. Oh! And she'll be drawing pictures of people who would like to have themselves or a few friends drawn together! ^^I know for a fact that Hawaii will be wearing one of her more traditional, Polynesian outfits like this or this. She will probably be bringing a roasted whole pig with some poi and other side dishes. And of course, she will be preforming a hula dance and maybe a fire show~Brazil will definitely be dressing for Carnival! So that means something like this! She will be bringing a lot of sweets, mostly cakes, but there will a a few spiced with rum or tequila so be careful which ones you pick~! And she will be preforming a very special Samba~ Here's a sneak peak! LINK!

Norway-
Food- A Norwegian Party Food called Smørrebrød. It is an open sandwich with lots of good stuff for you, like SALMON (Us Norwegians are obsessed with the stuff).
Clothing- Bunad is the Norwegian traditional clothing. Norway will be wearing the male version of the outfit which looks like This. WE'RE TOTALLY GOING AS VIKING!!! WOOOOOOOT!!!
Music- Fjellmannjenta Is a common Norwegian folk song, which is used in many dances. Though these are traditional, some Norwegians tend to sing and dance to more modern songs like 'Fairytale' By Alexander Rybak (one of my violinist heroes).
Folk Dances- Usual Norwegian Folk Dances look like this, but others (mostly danced by children) will look like this.
Keep in mind that people in Denmark and other Nordic Countries have very similar customs. Especially those in Denmark.Korea-
Food- Kimchi is one of the main Korean foods, and is taken to many different parties or gatherings. Ganjang gejang is another food. It is raw crab (or seafood) marinated in a special type of soy sauce.
Clothing- The traditional Korean clothing in called a Hanbok. It is used both by men and woman, and has vibrant colors so people can stand out. Here is another example of a Hanbok.
Music- Sandal Wood is a traditional Korean song that is used to describe a hurtful love. There are many others like the Song of Birds. Another one is called BatNoRae.
Folk Dance- Korean dances are very beautiful. Like This one, preformed by a traditional dance instructor. Dances are also done with instruments, such as drums. Like this song.

Iceland would most likely wear þjoðbúningur karla to represent clothing worn in Iceland during the 17th through 19th century. It would be a disaster if Iceland brought Hákarl since the horrid taste and smell would cause many to, well, spit it back out. Randalín seems to be a good treat for everyone with it's delectable textures and layers filled with white butter cream and choice of prune or rhubarb jam. As for music... Sigur Rós or a traditional tune would work I guess? I'm still working on that section as well as traditional dances. New Zealand would probably wear a Piupiu skirt with no upper garments. Some Māori tattoos would also be involved for fun and to show he's still got a wild side. As for food, maybe some hangi styled traditional food would be in order. Music is a whole new level for New Zealand, so I'll put more research for a match.

Hm... I'm a little torn on what to do about Tennessee's cultural festival because I've already had him dress up as Davy Crockett so poking at the Volunteer Spirit stuff (though the most obvious) has kind of been done.
I might actually go for Antebellum Era stuff. The early 1800's really was TN's time to shine and he was a very important state... I also like the way he looks in the clothes in that time period. I just discovered from doodling a few pictures of him like that he's surprisingly handsome when he gets himself dolled up. xd
But of course his music will be a mix of Country, Blues and Folk. (I'll leave out Rock and Roll since that's still a relatively "new" invention and sadly a lot of people don't seem to realize it's for the most part a Tennessee/Mississippi collaboration.)
Food would obviously be barbecue, whiskey and lots of other southern staples foods. I don't know if there's a particular food that's distinctly Tennessean, though. I'm sure there is but I'm probably so used to it I don't even consider it might be unique. ^^; I'm good at history facts, but culture stuff sometimes confuses me... especially if it's my own!
Florida.... Oh, geez... Florida is such a mixed up place of various things his stand might be more of him trolling everyone with "Floribbean" "Florida Panthers" and "Florida Beats/Miami Bass" stuff that.... in all honesty seems to mostly be him just renaming stuff simply because it's in his borders even though there's nothing special about it. *eyes Florida Panther/Mountain Lion* >w>;

State of Georgia Not really sure what to do with him in terms of clothing, but I guess some colonial style clothing, but, knowing him, he'll change it up to be more modern. Hey, you should be lucky he isn't planning on showing up in a "gangster" type look. xd In terms of food, I'll have him bring some fried chicken and corn bread. He'll bring Coka-Cola since it did originate in his state and EVERYONE knows about it, and I'll have him bring home-made peach cobbler for dessert. Music if hard since a part of me wants him to bring country music, but another wants him to bring some R&B.
Germany Not going to bother trying to get original with him. I have a picture of him in traditional wear, you know he'll bring wurst with him along wit black forest cake, and music is pretty much set.
France He's pretty much set up, too. In fact, he'll be wearing another costume that I think will make people laugh. He'll bring some french pastries with him.
Leichtenstein... Well, it doesn't matter since she's missing. twisted

Underused thread... Hallacas have been overused, so Romero'll bring cachapa (Ven pancakes), chicha (any fermented fruit drink--description was SO vague), cocada ('stolen' from Brazil), and pasticho (Ven lasagna). The Italy twins ought to love the last item! He'll dance... something... in his torero outfit (which needs to be redrawn to stave off embarrassment) and recruit someone as a bull if he can. Music may include Sergio Dalma, joropo, and Concierto de Aranjuez. (Only joropo is not hijacked from Spain XD) Landon'll bring Californian pizza, clam chowder, sourdough bread, and hamburgers, as well as some ergonomic Apple-like item that ought to sell really well especially among the freshies. The most likely outfit he'll wear are his standard beachshorts, though he may bring a suit for a more entrepreneurial look and/or a camera to videotape the others. Music... Gwen Stefani, Katy Perry, Beach Boys, and... OH GOD REBECCA BLACK IS FROM CALI???!?!?!?! eek Heheh. Didn't you know? twisted Landon... Bring that and I will personally guarantee your booth SUCKS. crying Everything American is really borrowed from the other continents... *eyes paltry music list* I wish I could play guitar...FUSION CUISINE FTW! biggrin
