Lady Faire sniffled and wiped some of the tears away from her face. "Th-th-thank you," she stammered. "You're right, maybe I'm just such a pretty princess that there can be no others." Of course, the generous gift helped to heal her giant ego, and she was back to her normal self.
"Hey sis, check out how awesome your kid is." TPK drunkly slurred as she hugged her sister. "Somehow, you must have done something right, because he just saved the evening... now if he could somehow give me one of those hot knights, then he'd really be the hero."

Niner thought about hugging his cousin, but somehow, that seemed wrong. Instead, he gave a courtly bow. "I can't imagine a better princess, Your Highness. But we should probably get out of here... before the enemy guards come and try to throw you in a dungeon!" As their mothers led them out, he began to understand something about generosity. Sometimes, the best gift you could give somebody wasn't your time or even a present. Sometimes the best gift you could give was your understanding. His cousin needed to believe that she was a princess, so he'd treat her like one.
RTD smiled down at her son and fluffed his hair with her hoof. Maybe she had done something right. "Maybe next time- you can only be a hero so much before you turn into a Mary Sue!"
