She wasn't surprised that there wasn't an instant flash of recognition across his face at the mention of the rather specialized martial art. She had yet to meet anyone who knew what she was talking about, and most of the time she was met with a twist of the face and a 'huh, say wha?'. "It's pretty cool - like martial arts, but it incorporates dancing." She enjoyed it, especially the dance part, though she couldn't really remember any previous dance experience. No surprises there, though. All she knew was that she seemed to be rather graceful, though had an odd weakness in one of her ankles that she really had to start working on strengthening. It was going to become her Achille's heel (no pun intended) otherwise.

"I hope so," Eos frowned, crossing her slender arms as she continued strolling forwards at a casual pace. She cast her eyes downwards, watching the sidewalk beneath her feet as she mulled over the idea. She was definitely coming from a different angle than a traditional Chaos agent - she'd been there, done that, and had the t-shirt to prove it. Whilst she might not remember much, she had enough knowledge to make a well-reasoned argument. Or at least, she hoped she did. The blonde had the feeling that her arguments would soon be tested in the field.

She sighed. "Capoeira was suggested to me by one of the General Queens, to defend myself - are they really that hostile?" She was worried about the idea of fighting, and her fears were clearly etched into the frown that dominated her face. Pale lips were pursed as she looked up to Remarque, hoping that his answer might be a happy one.

Martial arts, with dancing? …Yeah, definitely for the ladies. Not that Remarque was thinking about getting involved in it or anything, but it suddenly seemed so much less appealing. Oh, well—at least Eos was learning some manner to protect herself. Not that she seemed to be helpless before; he very much remembered her whacking the s**t out of a youma or two. Though his mind had wandered a bit while they walked, he wasn't ignoring Eos. On the contrary, when she glanced up at him, he returned her gaze.

The concern in her expression made him wish that he had a better answer for her. Btu Remarque was rarely one to smooth things over—especially when the truth was something that needed to be accepted. He couldn't sugar coat it in anyway—doing so might just get Eos hurt.

"Some of them are, yes. There are those willing to listen, those that are trying to understand us. Typically they try to find out what they can so they can tell us how wrong we are, but at least they listen. There are some that won't give you a chance to open your mouth before attacking you. You might have better luck. You're a girl—and a pretty one. I know I'd be less inclined to attack you then, say," he gestured to himself. "Someone like me. So I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Maybe everyone's just paranoid and giving you all these warnings to try and keep you safe. The White Moon will probably retaliate. Probably scold you, probably have harsh words at least for you, but Eos—never doubt that you are doing the right thing."

Though his words were stern, they were severe. Remarque truly believed them, and to him, it was worth the treatment of the White Moon to be on the right path. They all had an option to be saved—they just had to give in and let it happen.

"No matter what they say, all right? —And if anyone hurts you because of the choices you've made, I will personally kick their a**, all right?" He didn't doubt that Eos has Negaverse friends that had made the same promise, though he felt it necessary to remove what fear she could. Eos was a symbol of all the good the senshi could be. Was a symbol that there was a chance for them—for all of them. He wasn't going to let anyone take her down. Not when she meant so much to Chaos.

She always tended to wonder what people were thinking - were they secretly wishing she'd stop talking, or that she'd leave them alone? Self esteem wasn't one of the blonde's stronger points, but never-the-less she felt at ease around Remarque. He didn't exactly wear his heart on his sleeve, but he seemed genuinely interested and like he cared, and that made her feel important. And didn't everyone like feeling important every now and again?

Some of them are...that sounded like a gentle lead into a harsh yet honest truth. Whilst worry crossed her expression, she was glad that it was the truth - she could trust Remarque for that much, at least. Sugarcoating it would get her no-where, and she had to learn to defend herself and fight back against these horrible hostile scouts that were trying to stop them from achieving their noble goal. "I don't want them to go easy on me," she stated quite matter-of-factly, not wanting to be left off merely because of 'luck' or because she was a girl. Although, thinking about it, she could always learn to use their naivety to her advantage. "I want to help, I really do, so so much. And I want to fight." There was an awkward pause and she looked to her hands, embarrassed. Remarque was an Eternal, he was going to think she was stupid. "I'm just...nervous."

Read: scared. Her heart swelled when he spoke of her almost proudly, and she looked back up with a small yet grateful smile, her cheeks still pink. "It's a shame the right path isn't always the easy one, hmm?" Looking back down again, Eos sighed. "I know I'm doing the right thing, and I want to keep doing it - I want to help all of them do it - but I just wish it was a bit easier sometimes."

As Remarque listened to Eos, he nodded slowly. She might be knew to Chaos, but she already understood what hardships she had in store for her. "It can be frustrating," he said, releasing a heavy sigh. It was as much emotion as he showed on that matter; Remarque was not one to like any sort of disappointment or failure, but it was honestly so very hard to get ahead when the whole world seemed to be against you.

That never stopped him before, though, and it certainly wasn't going to stop him now. He'd fight harder—fight until he'd expelled every last ounce of energy he had to give. "Because they are foolish in that they don't even consider how wrong they could be. It is difficult because no matter what they say, they assume you're spewing lies or are possessed by madness."

Lies, Remarque sometimes told. But it was only because they refused to examine the situation of their own volition otherwise. Sometimes they just needed that little extra push to get the idea into their head.

"It's all right to be nervous. You've gone through a massive life change, and on top of that, you're in the minority in the war. The good news is," he gave her a friendly clap on the shoulder. "At least you're on the right side. And it might be a long, difficult battle, but at the end of it all? …At the end, I have no doubt that we'll be on the winning side. We're of a different class than the White Moon. They can try as hard as they like, but they will never defeat us. Through perseverance and skill, we'll see to it that their numbers decline. One day, they'll either all have joined with us, or fallen. I have faith in that, as I have faith in you."

She might not have been a Dark Mirror Senshi, as he would have preferred, but she was as close as any other could be, and he gave her credit for that.

He agreed with her and didn't mock her frustrations or her fear, and she appreciated that. Everyone got scared sometimes, you just needed someone to gently help coax you forwards and fight through the fear. Whilst Labyrinthite was trying, having a familiar face (sort of) giving her that final push might be just what she needed to get her into the game and knocking them out of the ring. Eos smiled.

"I want to try, and I will." She was adamant of that - she wasn't sure what she'd been like before, but she knew she'd been wrong and she was going to put that right with every ounce of her being. Eos wasn't going to let herself fall behind or be bullied around. She was going to go out there and get it done. "They need to be shown the way, they've been blinded by that silly queen." She shook her head gently, fiddling with a thick blonde curl. As much as she was hoping that some gentle persuasion might accomplish this goal, she was 99.9% certain that she would have to resort to violence, and that's where she wasn't too sure.

"How good are they at fighting?" It was a bit of a change of topic, but it made sense with her train of thought as the corrupt senshi looked up to Remarque with a curious expression. She was trying to get better, but trying certainly didn't equal succeeding... "I'm not exactly the best brawler," she admitted with slightly pink cheeks, teeth creeping over to chew at her bottom lip. That's what she imagined it would be - dirty brawling, rolling on the ground and pulling hair and fukus. Oh god, what would she do about her hair!?

The clap on the shoulder made her heart swell, however, and the smile on her face was the biggest of the evening yet. "Thank you, Remarque." She wasn't sure whether to hug him or what, so instead went for a squeeze of his closest arm with her delicate fingers, "That means a lot to me."

Eos' gratitude would have warmed anyone who was in touch with their feelings, and even Remarque was able to crack a smile. "I'm glad to hear that, then. You'll do fine," he reassured; Eos had done nothing but prove herself to him in the past, and he expected great things from her in the future. "Even if you can't brawl. There are other methods of fighting—I'm sure you'll find one that suits you and your needs best."

Remarque himself had a penchant for boxing, though had been able to balance conversation and confrontation fairly well so far. Still, with what he'd seen from the white moon side, he figured anyone who lacked a certain battle prowess was very much in danger. "Capoeira might be a good way to start off, just to keep yourself protected as best as possible. And if that doesn't work out, you've always got time to try out new things. I figure, as long as you stick with a partner while you're out, you've got plenty of time to get as strong—stronger—than your opponents. So if you're ever out and want company, I'm more than willing to fill that role. I'd be more than happy to share my phone number, in case you'd ever be interested in meeting up or making rounds together."

He had a good point - she couldn't ever see herself as the down-and-dirty sort of fighter, and she was still pretty shaky about any sort of violence. But there were other weapons she could use, and perhaps her magic and even her words could be used just as effectively as her fists.

"I've been assigned an officer who I'm shadowing at the moment - Captain Labyrinthite?" She wasn't sure how well integrated the Dark Moon Court were with the Negaverse, or whether they interacted much outside of battle. Chase had said he'd been out of the game for a bit, so she wouldn't have been too surprised if his name didn't ring any bells. "He looks after me, and he's helping me settle in." Despite having a babysitter at the moment, however, Eos was really looking forwards to getting out there by herself. As far as she was concerned that would be the real test, the proper way to work out her boundaries. "He says I'll be ready to go solo soon though - I'd still love a bit of company though."

The blonde smiled at the Dark Moon senshi, rubbing the back of her neck a little shyly, "Exchanging numbers would be great."

Labyrinthite was an unfamiliar name to Remarque, though considering how large the Negaverse was, it didn't necessarily surprise him. He'd have felt more comfortable if he'd known who was going to be watching out for Eos, as he wasn't the best when it came to blind faith, though at least this guy was a Captain.

"Company, then, I can always provide. And if you ever get in a jam, don't hesitate to contact me. As long as there's a mirror nearby, it takes me less than a minute to be just about anywhere. As for numbers, I don't suppose you have anything on you?" He pat himself down out of habit, knowing he didn't carry a pen or paper. It might be a good idea to do if he was going to be offering his phone number, though he was confident in his ability to preserve numbers that the idea of recording them had eluded him thusfar. "If not, unless you're good with numbers, give me yours and I'll shoot you a text when I get back home?" he offered.

Company what just what she needed, really, so was the best gift Remarque could give her. Being suddenly thrust into a new life with a new identity was scary, but she hadn't expected it to be quite so lonely - she didn't remember any old friends or enemies she'd had previously, she didn't even remember who she'd been. It was a daunting prospect, building relationships from scratch again, so she was immensely grateful for any help she could get.

Patting down her fuku, the blonde raised her arms and shrugged to show she had nothing. It had never really occurred to her that a pen and small notebook might be useful to carry around - if not for phone numbers then to make notes on things she should remember, who she reported to, etc. She made a mental note (even though she was 99% sure she'd have forgotten it in another ten minutes) to locate one, but for the time being was happy to relay her number to Remarque when he asked. Sailor Eos knew she didn't exactly have the best memory, and with it having been ******** over recently remembering a whole phone number seemed far, far beyond her capabilities. "I look forwards to hearing from you! It'd be nice to hang out sometime." She smiled genuinely, excited at the prospect of having another friend to spend time with rather than sitting alone in the Black mansion or in Negaspace, wallowing in her own self-pity. "I should probably go now, though. Labyrinthite is probably wondering where I am..."

When Eos supplied her number, Remarque repeated it in his head for a short moment; as long as he got back to the house soon, he wasn't going to have any issue remembering it. Confident that the number was going to stick, he was still glad to be able to head home soon just to make sure he didn't forget it. "All right," he said, not wanting to cause her keeper any sort of distress. "Well, you take care, and let him know that I expect him to take good care of you. We'll definitely have to meet up again, so I'll get in contact with you soon."

He smiled then, thinking this to have been a pleasant evening. "I'm proud of you, Eos. Congratulations for making it to the better side. You have a good evening, all right?"

The concentration on his face as she recited her mobile number relaxed the blonde a little, and gave her a little more faith that Remarque did know what he was doing. She'd be checking her messages as soon as she got home, and she really hoped that it came through - building bridges like this was what she needed most at a time like this, and you could never have enough allies. Perhaps Remarque - or Jett - could even help her recall some memories from before her corruption.

His concern was sweet, and Eos responded with a grateful smile. "I will - maybe I can introduce you two eventually." It seemed like a useful job, introducing fellow Chaos agents, especially from the two sides of the allied relationship. "I really look forwards to hearing from you! It'll be nice to get out and have a cup of coffee or whatever." Her heart was no longer racing as much as it had been at the start of this encounter, but the simple statement spoken by the dark mirror senshi made it feel like her heart was a balloon swelling to huge proportions. It was humbling and sweet and unnecessary but at the same time the strange feeling on happiness it gave her was something she hadn't experienced yet. She hadn't felt this happy...well, for as long as she could remember.

"Thank you." A hug seemed appropriate as far as Eos was concerned, though she kept this one short and sweet. "See you soon, Remarque."

A small, shy wave was offered as she back-stepped a few strides before turning and leaving, her hands still shaking from the events of the evening.

Remarque lingered for just a moment, watching as Eos began her trek back. The mantra of her phone number was still playing in his head, and while he was appreciating the moment, he realized that it wasn't going to stay there forever. He turned, truly glad that Eos had gotten another start. The Negaverse would be better for her than the White Moon could have ever hoped, though even as he started walking towards the Mirror he was shaking his head. It was a pity that Ares hadn't been able to get to her first, but hell—at least she was in a better place.

She looked better than ever—he just hoped the Negaverse was going to help her reach her full potential in the way the Dark Mirror Court would have. At the very least, he was glad to have a contact in the Negaverse—one that he actually trusted and felt he could rely on.

Good things would come of this; he was certain.
