Roddy shook his head, this girl was the most stubborn ungrateful rescuee ever... But the stubbornness was all to the good, its likely what kept her alive. Still he could only take so much... "Hey now," he said as he scrambled in behind her, "maybe it doesn't look like much but its a good solid safe den. Something which hasn't been easy to find in the chaos you likely missed while you were a rainbow popsicle."
There was just enough space for him to move around without having to step on or over her. He took some of the evergreen branches he'd used as a bed during past stays and made a sort of nest around her. "Here that should help hold in some of the warmth. You curl up there and I'll go gather some more and maybe a bite to eat. Ummm... do you eat meat?" he belated remembered that some ulaya were vegetarians... If that was the case with her he really wasn't sure what he'd be able to provide other than bark and pine needles.
Roddy moved to go outside pausing only to await her answer to the last question. Even that was almost too much of a rest, he had to keep moving because once he fully stopped he'd be out. He might be strong and proud but his energy wasn't a never ending supply. He wanted nothing more in that moment than to make a comfortable bed and hopefully have at least a bit of meat in him before sleeping the night away. It would be a novel thing to actually be able to curl up with another, of course that would be for her well being to get her warmed up, but it would still be nice...

"There..was a chaos while I was a- wait- HEY!" She puffed up and sighed. Eyes rolling and all then she followed her rainbow around her and then lead her to the little stack of leafs and branches for a bed and she coiled up there- it was hard to move but she finally made it. Coiling up in his jacket before looking up at him. The even thought of meat- his question took her as a surprise. "YOU EAT MEAT!?@??!?!?!" She almost about fainted. Where she came from everyone ate from the land. Apples. Berries. Hay. She liked hay... Her ears went down. "That doesn't even sound humane!! You better not try and eat me while I sleep!~ Im be terrible going down." Huffing.
Then realized.... he was her savior, lowered her voice. "Sorry...er.. No I don't eat meat. Berries.. things like that.. hay.. or something. I can dig it." Giving him a nod and hiding within his jacket all cute like. Really.. she was rough because she survived this way and because her huge group of friends were so diverse that she was really the rumble and tumble type where they were more girlly and prissy.
"Just- dont.. leave leave me here. Stranded or somethin.. ok? Promise ya come back right?" At that moment, one could see the vulnerability in her...

Roddy shook his head and chuckled at her reaction. "Ok I get it, no meat. And yes I do eat meat, not exclusively and certainly not a fellow ulaya. Not sure what I'll be able to find but I'll do my best..." and be sure to eat his own meal and clean up any blood before returning.
Seeing her curled up with the rainbow for company, Roddy ventured back out into the dripping, melty world. He was a pretty good hunter and this small patch of forest was home to quite a few small animals. It wasn't long before he spotted a squirrel poking its nose out of a hiding place in the rocks. He settled in to watch and noticed that his cheeks were full and was that a berry in its paws? Instead of chasing the squirrel he let it run off before going to investigate the hole hopeful that luck was on his side and sniffing it seemed it was. He reached in a paw and pulled out a paw-full of berries, nuts, and other seeds. Ok this was good.... he stuffed the find into his shirt and kept on doing the same until there was so much he was worried he'd spill in along the way back.
"Well so much for hunting and getting some rest," he grumbled as he awkwardly waddled his way back. He'd have to come back out after dropping this off.
He slowly entered not wanting to disturb Dash if she was resting. "Hey Dash, it looks like its your lucky day I stumbled across a squirrel's stash." He spilled the contents of his shirt in front of her. "And no I didn't eat the squirrel, seems kind of wrong to raid his food and kill him. I'll be back soon, need to my own meal before I fall over."
Perhaps it was karma smiling on him for saving Dash but a nice plump rodent was stashing away some of the seeds Roddy had dropped along the way. It was so close to the entrance that they surprised each other and Roddy's hungry reflexes recovered faster. The exhausted male took his meal a distance away so the scent wouldn't carry into the den. He was so hungry the meal didn't take very long, clean up took longer because of his desire to not bring the blood scent back.
Exhausted and starting to feel the cold now, Rodimus crawled back into his den. He sighed with relief at the warmth. "I'll find you some good bark after I get some sleep," he mumbled curling up beside Dash.

Maybe she was a bit out of line.. while he took his time on leaving, she closed her eyes and tried to remember where she was- and remember where her friends might have been. It couldn't be too far- but what could have happened to them when she became frozen. It was then that Roddy shook her out of her thoughts and she lifted her head with not much enthusiasm. Nuts and berries fell from his paws and she looked at them and then him. Giving him a bright smile..
"Thanks dude! Your too cool for getting all this for me. Thanks a lot! Too bad for the losing squirrels." She softly laughed and as soon as he came, is as soon as he left and she started nibbling on the berries. Even eating seemed to hurt.. Getting through to about half of his findings when he came back. Colors tinted her maw of the berries being devoured. "Your back!" And it was then that she notice just how worn out he looked.. She stayed quiet, watching him curl around her. "You go to sleep.. I'll watch the fort." She said lowly... Eating the rest of her food until she it was gone before she knew it! Hours went by... She walked around.. trying to stretch her muscles.. then she rolled around, careful not to dirty up the jacket too much. Examine the jacket. Made cool zooming noises with it, Counted how many rocks there were til she finally curled up next to him yet again. She didn't want to sleep... but it took her over finally and she nodded off. Leaning her head against his arm..and finally fell asleep.
