"Yes," Lizzy replied, keeping a firm grip on his wrist, "You'll go jogging with Mitsu every morning, and do sit ups in the yard in the afternoon, giving your neighbors blank stares whenever they pass by and say hello. And then maybe you go hunting for food in the forest... Or something like that, because it's true. I can't see you having a picket fence life, because you're not made for that. You're made for better things. It doesn't mean that you have to hurt other people the way you're used to. Whether you hurt other people or not, it's a choice. It's the same for everyone."
She paused for a moment, her voice going softer, "People just pick the easier route more often."

Shun was actually taken back a bit by the answer, not really expecting that. His gaze continued to not meet with Lizzy's eyes right now.
"You have more faith in me than you should. I can't let this go. I can't let them get away with this. It will eat away at me... Besides. Pretty soon... that might be all I have left anyway.."
If Mitsu really did never get her memory or her feelings for him back, and if he managed to break his other ties, he wouldn't have any loose ends any longer.

"I like having faith in people. Even when they're being a poop," Lizzy made sure to look at Shun when she said 'poop', because it was meant for him, "What do you intend to do? What is revenge for you? And no. I won't let you be left with only revenge and your old life at the end of this road, even if I have to knock down some walls to make a new path... Even if Mitsu doesn't remember you... Don't be stupid and cruel and leave every other one of your ties behind."

"Sh-she.." Shun started, finding it hard to speak at the moment. He took in a deep breath, then managed to get it out, "She's better off. Without me."
He had to take a few moments after saying that to keep himself in control. Anguish had spiked up at that, so he had to do what he could to keep it down so he could still speak.
"Besides, there are those who will come after me should something happen to one of you. Consider it a mutual benefit," he said quietly.
"As for what I intend to do, I haven't had the chance to plan it out. But I want to make Candace suffer hard." he added in a cold tone.

"She's better off with a Shun who is willing to look and examine the infinite possibilities his future has," Lizzy corrected him quickly enough, "And I have enough faith in him to know that he can do that, if only he's willing to put a little faith in himself."
She let his wrist go, if only to put her hands on her hip, "Maybe take a little bit of that negativity and turn it around... Shun, you can't just let go of all that hate? I don't believe that what you're doing is beneficial to anyone. Even yourself."

Though he was released, he didn't move anywhere yet.
"Where did this faith even come from? What have I done to warrant that? Why do you or anyone else care?" he asked quietly, "If something happened to Mac. Something like this... wouldn't you want to get back at the one responsible? Wouldn't you want to make them feel the pain that you're going through? If not put them through worse? ********. I've tried taking painkillers but that does nothing for what's going on with me right now."
Shun's gaze still was aimed downwards.
"I haven't been able to sleep. At all. Maybe I deserve it. But this isn't going to go away until I've done something about it."

"Y-you... You've been taking painkillers for emotional pain?!" Lizzy's pitched had increased to a squeak at the end of that exclamation, her eyes wide as saucers, "If something like this happened to Mac, I would be in pain. A lot of pain. But my priority will be Mac. He won't get better if I hurt the one responsible for hurting him... I'll just be increasing the number of people getting hurt."

"I've tried. It doesn't work," Shun murmured, "I've never been through anything like this before. Nothing I do really makes it go away."
Letting out a sigh, he shook his head.
"I won't be going after Candace until after Mitsu regains her strength at the least. Once she recovers there..."
He trailed off. He didn't know what he would do from there. At least not about what he would do regarding the lycan. Of course, it would be easier if she decided she wanted nothing else to do with him. It'd save him a decision to make. If she never recovered her memories, maybe she would decide him to be a horrible person she didn't want to be around.
"I don't even know. But maybe I can make that whore of a hunter just as miserable as I am in the very least. Let me have that satisfaction if nothing else. Yes. More people will get hurt. But when it comes to them? I don't care."

"... Are you-" Lizzy paused, biting down on her lower lip; if this conversation wasn't so serious, she might had laughed. Instead, she grabbed his arm and started leading him towards the monster dorms; they were heading in that direction anyway. She was just speeding things up a little, "Here, come with me... Emotional pain doesn't go away the same way physical pain does, even if you might feel an ache in your physical body when you are in emotional pain... There's nothing to heal that except time. And maybe crying... But I doubt you would cry, especially not in front of me."

"I.. I'm not soft.." he murmured quietly. Shun didn't fight her as she started to pull him towards the monster dorms. He was headed that way anyway, and he didn't have it in him right now to struggle.
"I think you may be wrong. Over time I've only been feeling worse," he uttered before glancing up at her, "Look. If you weren't my friend, you wouldn't have to see me like this. I still think it's better if you would just let go of me.."
He didn't get why she was insisting on fighting for him.

"Sure you're not soft. If I tried to punch your arm, my hand would probably ache more than your arm does," Lizzy was deliberately taking it wrongly as she dragged the reaper into the monster dorms, and up a flight of stairs. She kept climbing, even when she was starting to pant a little, "You're feeling worse because you don't know how to deal with it... Think of it as a bottle of pop that never runs out of gas. Emotional hurt is like shaking the bottle and letting the gas escape from the drink. Emotional pain is the gas pushing against the cap. If you don't open the cap once in a while to let the gas out, it's eventually going to cause so much pressure that it'll pop the cap right open..."
It was obvious that she was not used to climbing this many steps at one go, as her panting only got worse, "Friends don't let friends be poop. Besides, friends see friends through their darkest times... Sure, there are certain things that you'll have to deal with alone, for whatever reason-" Like Mac cheating on her with Hel; that still stung. Just a little, "-but everything else? Nope."
They were near the end of the flight of stairs now.

Well. It didn't seem like they were headed towards Mitsu's room. Shun wasn't really sure where Lizzy was taking him. He continued to follow her up the stairs, grimacing a bit. Had he been rested, this wouldn't have been an issue. But as it was, he hadn't slept at all for the past week or so. And during the times the lycan was out?
He was working out.
So, while the spider was feeling winded, he was becoming even more exhausted himself.
"What if.. this is something.. I have to deal with alone...?" he muttered.
His vision was darkening a bit once he were almost at the top. And it seemed like he was struggling to keep up with Lizzy even.

"It's not, because it doesn't just concern you. It concerns me, and Xiu, and Mitsu, and everyone else you're trying to cut off," Lizzy replied, pausing briefly to push open the door that was at the end of the flight of stairs, "We're here!" Finally was left unsaid.
Stepping out of the door, there was a light breeze; they were at the roof of the monster dorms, and it was surprising that there was nobody else around. Looking down, they could see the rest of the dorms, as well as part of the school campus.
"Yell," She commanded, pointing at the scenery below, "Yell out your pain and things."

Shun felt light headed once they were at the top and he actually doubled over a bit trying to recover. He wasn't feeling so good physically either. Shaking his head slowly, he straightened up and looked to see where they were. Quite frankly.. he had never been to the roof of the monster dorms. Mitsu was afraid of heights so they never came up here. And it wasn't like the reaper roof where he could scale to it quickly from his room.
This roof was considerably higher than the other dorm as well.
At Lizzy's command, he glanced over to her with a flat stare. Yelling wasn't really something he did.
"Yell? Have you seriously ever heard me shout before?"
Well. He had shouted when Mitsu was first taken. But Lizzy was not there.

"There's a first time for everything," Lizzy replied, still pointing, "Yell. No words. Just yell."
