The girl was not very science oriented herself, but she still found it fascinating in its own way. Of course, the fact that it made the other girl happy was enough for her. "It's really okay! It sounds very interesting, even if I don't think I'd ever think of doing something like that."'

The girl had to pause their conversation when the cashier waved her forward.
Penelope handed over a twenty dollar bill--her parents still didn't like her to use her new debit card that she had finally convinced them she needed one to not look so out of place. In honesty, she had gotten so used to just handing over cash that she still had to remind herself she even had the card! While she waited for her change, she turned back to Aggie and laughed a little nervously as she answered, "Well, I'm not... totally sure yet, but I think I want to study library and information science. It's really more interesting than some people think, and I like books... and helping people find information they need, so it feels like a good place for me."

"Yes, of course I do!" Penelope hastened to reassure her as she waited, thinking it would be rude to leave before Aggie had a chance to check out as well. "I mean... the most important thing is that you like it, because if you get a job doing what you like, then you'll be happy."

She colored at the other girl's excitement, but smiled as she murmured, "Y-Yes, I'll definitely do my best! I'd like to help people find books, all kinds of books." She shuffled her feet slightly and she offered, "Well... now that we own them, you want to go see how they look? I'm sure there's a mirror somewhere we can use."
