The last thing Xun Jiang cared about was a soaked shirt, really. "It is better if you just let it out as it comes. If you try to keep it all in, it only gets worse." If there was something that Glyph had finally managed to cram into the dragon's thick skull, that was it. Illisia had been determined to handle everything herself, and he had not been much better in the beginning.
"I figure he did not expect that." Well, he had certainly not expected it, himself !

"Probably not." Even Whisteria herself not really known what to think when she first figured out what it could have been. "He asked me who the father was, I did not say anything since Elik was only asking to try and change the subject...but he should probably meet Aska at some point." Though her nephew would probably find her choice in men amusing. (Not that he any room to say anything really, seeing as his chosen lady was a werewolf.) She and Aska suited each other well, at least she thought so anyway.

"Ah. The 'attempt to get out of this conversation' card." Xun Jiang was not surprised. Elik was indeed extremely stubborn...
But then, he had to admit that his son's world had been thrown upside down, more or less. It was a lot to take in, in a relatively short time span... for a night elf, anyway. "They should meet, yes, if only so he understands the situation a little better.... But we should probably leave him some space while he processes everything."

"I told him I would behave, so long as he talked to you. If he had not, you probably would have found a rather angry tied up feline on your doorstep." She sounded rather amused, but she had been serious. Whisteria would keep her word and give him the space he needed for the time being. At least things would be less hostile the next time they talked now that the air was clearer between them all.

"That... would have been quite a surprise. I do not think Aysu would have known how to deal with that." Poor, poor aoide. He had been rather surprised to see Elik for himself as it was.
And yes, he did believe Whisteria was serious. Very easily, in fact. Elik would not really have been able to do anything about it. Attempting to wrestle off a pregnant woman was a big, big no-no.
"It was surprising to see him show up to begin with." Had he been drinking tea, well, he would have spat it.

"Well, he got there and actually listened. That was the important part." Even if had been more Adi's prompting than his own actual want to go, which seemed to be the most likely scenario.
"Well, at least it was a good surprise?" She hoped so anyway.

"Once I got over the shock of a rather peeved druid trying to stare a hole through my head, yes." To say that Elik had been unwilling at first was... extremely accurate.
"But... At least that is over with now." It was a load off his shoulders and mind, so to speak.

"Mhm...and our family is more or less whole. Even if it is a bit different." A bit bigger too- with the new baby, Aska, Adrienne and Glyph.

The thought made him smile. "A bit different, yes... But that is the ways of things." In spite of the near end, in spite of all the pain, all the losses, and all the tears... They had managed, they had rebuilt what they could, and would continue to do so.
Things would never be the exact same that they once were... But that was okay.
