Knitting rant in small text because I'm not sure how long it'll be.
Ohmyflyingsnotpuppies! I just couldn't get my tension right, even just doing a simple knit stitch on the round! Decided to go and watch a "you're so new to knitting we're going to take two minute to explain how to insert the needle into your knitting, or five minute explaining one freaking loop" video (great when you start - lovely in fact - makes learning new things easier - but when you know it it's really boring and like "just get on with it already -finger tap tap tap-"). To see if I was going wrong. Go back to basics and stuff. Guess what I was doing wrong. Guess. I. Was. Wrapping. The. Yarn. The. Wrong. Way. Like holygiantpapercutwasps. It's just wrong how simple my mistake was. For the knit I'd wrap over and under... it's actually supposed to be under the needle, then over (towards me)... I've been doing it wrong for two years. TWO YEARS. o-o My grandma didn't even correct me. So it's probably that I was doing my knits wrong and not my purls too tight. I'm probably doing my purls right and that's why everything was all fudg-y with stockinette. dfudihaewkmlvaso; When I post a picture of the finished project I'll try to show the difference. I don't think what I was doing was technically wrong - just not the best for good tension. I'm so happy I figured this out before a really big project. The stitches look so much better to me and so much more even. I love it. Now if this muggy heat would cooperate so I could actually knit without constant squeeks (probably partially due to the acrylic yarn I'm using but it wasn't this bad before so I'm sure the muggy-ness plays a part). I'd like that. I want to knit more now that I know better. Now that I know how great it looks. Please muggy-ness - go go go away. If I was a praying person I'd probably spend half the day doing so. Or giving offerings. Or something. I don't know. However that works. -pout- I just want to knit.

Done bag. At least for now. I may add some pockets or some such later on. Behold, knitting mistakes abound.

& the weather is better. I even managed to sleep in a bit. whee Watched the Mars landing NASA live cast thing last night. May be part of the reason why I was so sleepy this morning.

Looks good to me. You know where the mistakes are, but as someone looking at the bag, I can't find them.

It is still pretty spiff! How are you going to add pockets?

I'll add more if I need 'em but so far I don't think I do. Yet. [edit] lolol I read that as "are you" instead of "how are you." I pick up stitches on the inside then knit a strip/square/rectangle, then use a weaving sewing technique thing to bind down the sides of the "flap" to make the pocket. I may knit a square and just sew down three sides though, depending on the pocket.

From my chem textbook (the one I nicked from my mom - well, it was given to me): "No matter how difficult a course may be, the willingness to work hard and not quit will bring you success." Simple and true. I think sometimes I lose sight of that.

I'm going to spend this weekend and Monday at Sir's. whee heart I love sleepovers~ heart And picking up new birth control that is hopefully a different brand (talking to the doctor Monday). I'm crossing my fingers that'll help with my nausea. I really hope it's that and not my stomach/acid problems coming back. I hated those with a passion even if non-biological family made it easier to deal with. Until bio-family made it worse when I couldn't see my non-bio family, of course. It's how they roll. rolleyes At least I have a good idea where young!Milk's know-it-all-ness came from. But excitement. I have way too much right now. I'm going to temper it a bit with a shower and packing. whee

From the weekend: - Got a different brand of bc that worked well in the past if I remember correctly. - Got a handful of free condoms. biggrin - Had a bit of a breakdown thing. All is well now. Sir is great at handling irrational Milk even though he feels he's flailing around like a duck who lost her ducklings (my metaphor simile (lol), not his). - Learned sex is a very good cure for a b***h-y for no known reason Milk (possibly hormones to do with my almost-here period or just general stress) - Came to a tentative agreement with Sir to have him watch all of Buffy, Angel, Dollhouse, and various other shows I like but he may not like if I watch him play games I'd otherwise watch him play anyway - Altered is a surprisingly good alien movie but I missed the beginning (mmm, surprise makeouts). - I'm going to have to steal Sir's chocolate chip cookie recipe 'cause it's amazing. - Weekends where I wake up near Sir and can cuddle up to him for an hour before actually getting ready for the day bring me back to full motivation levels for life. - I need to exercise more. I have leg twitches and some foot crampage from an amount of walking I shouldn't get them from. - Being able to take on a household submissive role, even for a very short time, will give me nightmares about not being able to clean properly.
All in all a success. whee heart

It is pretty funny. Awkward when you want to cuddle after a nightmare about not being able to clean a floor though. xd Sir laughed.
