Rio was glad to hear that - both because he didn't want to get in trouble, and because Xun really was quite lovely. Not that he was likely to have any chances there, but that was essentially his own fault and truly didn't bother him. That didn't mean, however, that he could not quietly enjoy the view.
He soon returned with a tray of drinks - tea and wine - and small snacks, which he set down before taking a seat himself. "So how have you been, aside from dealing with wayward children?"

 "I have been well, for the most part." Really, he had. The only truly dangerous and bothersome part had been Daelyth. He went for the tea rather than the wine - personal preference for the most part - and some of the snacks.
"There was Daelyth through... Well, I do not want to see a desert again for a long, long while." He shook his head.

"A desert? I can't say I have seen one in...well, ever," Rio admitted after a moment of thought. He'd never strayed far from the Pantheon, and certainly not to another world. He could see why Xun would object to deserts, though, being a water god and all. "What on earth were you doing in a desert?"

He actually was not sure how much he should say here. If he had been Forge, well, he would certainly prefer that the least people knew, the better... But at the same time, it might be beneficial.
He really wasn't sure. So far, only those that had gone to Daelyth knew... And Whisteria, because she had seen him with the gem.
"Daelyth was formerly a pairie land... But Gehenna blasted it pretty hard." He started to explain. "Mine and Glyph's influence will probably help things out, at least I hope."

Love tilted his head, clearly very curious. Surely there must have been something more notable about this 'Daelyth' than it having been ravaged by Gehenna. After all, that went for a lot of places...and since it had been a prairie before, what interest would Forest have in it? Had they been looking for something? Someone? An artifact? Gods had gone various places looking for Aristogeiton, after all, and then for things to stop Gehenna...
So something that belonged to one of them, perhaps. Or...Glyph was on the Council, so maybe...it couldn't be something to do with the Grigori, could it? Or a thousand other things that weren't his business.
Oh, hell, guessing wasn't going to get him anywhere, and asking wouldn't hurt anything. Xun could always opt out of telling him if he really wanted. "Find anything interesting?"

"We did, but..." Yeah. He really was not keen on making stuff up. "That is rather personal to someone, and I am uncertain if she would appreciate me talking about it." Well, Forge was not really in the state of objecting to anything, but... Yeah.
Maybe he should not have shoehorned himself in that particular corner.

Xun had now successfully made him twice as curious, and it was probably obvious in the way he sat up a little straighter, long ears twitching slightly. Not only was it some kind of 'personal' secret, there was a mysterious she involved.
"Well, I can respect that. I won't pry, then," he said with a hint of disappointment. He really did understand, but he also really wanted to know! Love was, unsurprisingly, a rather nosy god. He would just have to find some other way to discover this secret, if at all possible. Or maybe more pieces of it...

Rio's reaction probably had the opposite effect that Love might have hoped - it only roused the dragon's mischievous side, which would make it twice as hard to get information out of him.
At least it hard turned into a game, and not catapulted straight into awkward territory.
Good that Love understood and did not seem offended, however, and Ti Lung nodded. "And what have you been up to lately ?" And Adi, as well - he had not seen her much lately beside earlier, with Elik.

"The same things I'm always up to," Rio answered with cheerful vagueness. Truthfully, that wasn't very much of great note most of the time, but if Xun was going to be evasive, then so could he! His wings gave a little flutter, and he reached for a cookie to nibble on.

One long eyebrow rose. Well, he had more or less asked for that once. "So up to no good. Got it."
Which did not mean he could not tease, no. "What about Adi ? Has she been a little more better-behaved than you ?"

Rio simply grinned in response to that summary of what he got up to. It was not an assessment he was going to argue with, as it was relatively accurate. In a mostly-harmless sort of way.
"Adi is always better-behaved than I am," he answered, chuckling. "And she's been spending a lot of time with Elik, obviously."
"Her birthday's coming up soon," he added after a moment.

The lack of response was more amusing that whatever Rio might have come up otherwise. Proved guilty then !
"Obviously. I have not seen much of her lately for that reason." Elik had been adamant with avoiding him, which had indirectly had helped keep Adi away, sadly.
"It is ?" He had not been aware of that ! "Hmmm... This calls for some plotting, yes." He was not sure if Elik would be aware of it. After all, Adi probably was adamant for him not to realize how old she actually was.
But then, for all that Elik's age was an impressive number, he was not too much older than her mentally.

"I haven't been seeing quite as much of her, either, although I suppose that's relative," he admitted. "She doesn't usually stay away for more than a few days. Only because there's no population of wild baked goods in the woods, I think..."
Rio nodded then, with a conspiratorial smile. "I was thinking the same thing."

"Yes, the lack of ability to hunt baked goods would likely be a set back." But now he was imagining a cake with fondant legs and was more than happy to blame Rio for that image, and the half-stifled giggles that followed it.
Good thing he had not been drinking right there and then.
"Hmmm. I might need to 'accidentally' inform Elik. I am not certain she would have told him." If Elik knew, then he probably was planning something of his own. "What did you have in mind ?"

Rio chuckled as well, entertaining similar images of cookies and pastries, though for his part he pictured them milling about in herds. It was fortunate there were no such enchanted food items running about, although given where they lived, it was not entirely out of the realm of possibility. ...Hmm. Right, enough of that, imagination!
"Probably not, although she can't avoid telling him forever." Elik was bound to find out sooner or later how old she really was, and Rio was willing to bet it would be a lot easier to process if he didn't discover it from someone else.
"What, like I actually have a plan beyond lots of food and presents and all her friends?" Or most of them, anyway. Her brother and father were off with Ea and Caolan, wherever that was.
