"Next time kick him in the balls or step on his foot with those heels of yours--it's a lot cheaper," he told her. "What did he do to earn your ferocious phone whipping?" he teased. "Call you names? Try to grab your a**? Was it Lou or that Titus guy?"

Riyo had given up her nut shot days, so hearing the boil suggest that's what she should do was a little strange. "I try to avoid nut shots for the simple fact that I was a boil for a day and got kicked there. That s**t hurts." Not that he didn't deserve it, but...
"Holy s**t you're curious today." Riyo groaned, her hands now covering her face. Half out of frustration, half because she was going to start blushing very soon. "It was Titus." She sighed, her voice muffled by her palms. "And none of those." Though he did call her names at the end. "No, I could've dealt with that."
How did she say this? Should she be blunt? Should she be clever with her words? Who was she kidding? Roch would just ask her more questions. She should just... Say it. "H-he... He... Asked me... T-to have sex with him."

He cocked his head at her, thinking about it for a moment. Then he scratched his head. "D'you and him got somethin' goin on that I never heard about?" he asked finally.
"I mean, nobody tells me s**t, it seems, so I got no clue who's datin' who other than Shun and Mitsu and Hel and Mot--and I ain't talked to Mot in who knows how long... and I only met Titus in a dream, where I kicked his a**."
Then he scowled slightly. "And I might have only seen him briefly, but I know a jackass when I see one, so I should apologize for even askin' about you and Titus bein' somethin."

Ugh. First Hel now Roch. Soon enough the whole campus would be convinced there was something more when there really wasn't.
"No." Riyo immediately answered his first question, hands refusing to leave her shamed face. "I don't think there will ever be anything 'going on' between us." The ghoul only half-listened to Roch's small rant about being out of the loop. Personally she felt that those sorts of things weren't really her business anyways, but whatever. Moreover, the dream thing didn't surprise her. Seemed like most people met Titus in such a scenario.
"It's not a big deal." She mumbled when the reaper apologized. "I suppose I would assume the same thing if the shoe was on the other foot..." Certainly. It wasn't like people just asked someone they didn't like for sex, unless their name was Titus.
"I don't... I don't even know why he did that. Just out of the blue, no provocation. The scariest thing is that he was being completely serious." And Riyo's cheeks still lit up when she thought about it.
"What... Causes a boil to just do that? I still don't get it."

He looked at her, he thought about it, and finally he said, "Probably because even if y'ain't that big in the chest, you have got a GREAT a**," he said, evilly. The punk boil was just asking to be slapped during this conversation, it seemed.
"But seriously, some guys just think with their dicks," he told her bluntly. "Or maybe you didn't think there was somethin' there, but he wanted there to be. I don't know. I mean, if he was lookin' for someone easy, he wouldn't have picked you," he told her. "Y'never seemed the type to spread eagle the moment you were asked to me--and I grew up with a lot of hookers in the neighborhood. So..." He frowned, honestly thinking it through.
"Or... maybe he was tryin' to run you off," he said, randomly guessing. "Could be y'got under his skin and he figured the easiest way to get you off his back was t'shock you. I've done it before--not to that level, but you ain't as innocent. You take a bigger shock treatment."

Ffffffffffffffffffff what? Great a**? Her? Buh? "holyshitwhywouldyousaythat?" The ghoul squeaked, immediately mortified and once again confronted with the fact that her boobs were tiny. And yes, Riyo's hand left her face just long enough to give Roch a smack.
Jack, the boil's bluntness was not appreciated in this situation. It was embarrassing. So very embarrassing. Still, Riyo tried to focus through it and listen to his possible reasons. They were surprisingly rational.
"I'm not sure about either of them, really." Riyo finally let her hands leave her face after feeling her cheeks start to cool. "See.. Um... He got really mad when I implied that I didn't want him to just tolerate me, and to save me the pain of having to repeat the conversation-" Because she remembered all of it. Every single word. "He basically told me we could never be anything other than acquaintances, then called me crazy and childish before storming off." Her fingers tapped together, thinking about how she'd stood in her doorway for a good couple of hours after he said that. "N-not that I want a relationship. I don't. I'd just been trying to make a point that it was rude of him to ask for such a thing when he had nothing other than toleration for me." She did, but even when caught in a corner Riyo would never admit to having feelings for anyone ever.
"And as for trying to run me off, he could've easily stopped there and I would've never spoken to him again, but he came back with the same thing in mind." Maybe Titus's shyness was just a front, hiding his true intentions. "********, I don't know. But it's gotten to the point that I don't want to be in my own dorm because there's a chance he might just barge in if I forget to lock my door. Or maybe he'll try to fly up to my window."

"Well you ASKED why a guy would--" he said, only to be smacked. He snickered, even though it stung. Then he listened, frowning slightly as she went on.
"Jack, he sounds as confused as you do," he finally told her. "But if you're really scared of the guy, we can probably do somethin' to keep him from showing up unexpected," he told her. "Stalking people that actually get to the point they can't stay in their own room--that ain't cool." he said. "Although he's puttin' in WAY too much effort for just an acquaintance. I never bother lookin' back in a situation like you just described if I ain't got some vested interest."
And he wasn't saying it, but the one time he'd met Titus, he'd realized they had a little bit more in common than most. But the same could be said of Riyo. "Hey... y'ever been in love?" he asked her, curiously.

"N-no. Not really scared of him. It just makes me very uncomfortable." Riyo admitted and rubbed her arm. Though Roch had a very valid point. Why go through all that trouble if there wasn't at least SOMETHING? It could very well be that the boil was just as confused as she was, but if the only thing he wanted from her was physical attention than she really just didn't want to bother...
The boil's next question made her eyes widen. W-why would he ask her about that? Riyo, of all people. It didn't help that she had talked violently of the subject with Shun. "Roch... I don't even know what love is." The feline reluctantly admitted, her eyes turning to the ground below. "I had no parents to show me and only recently discovered I was somehow able to keep friends. Love is not something I understand, nor really want to." It seemed like people went completely stupid when they were 'in love'.
"Why do you ask?"

"Cuz it's confusing," Roch said honestly. "I mean, I think I might be, but I might be wrong, and it ain't like the songs, y'know? Well, except maybe some of the blues ones. You wanna be there, y'don't wanna be there, y'try and get away from them, but the more y'do, the more y'think of them... and y'find yourself doin' stuff that you'd have never thought you'd do in a million years. I haven't slept properly in weeks," he admitted.
"Daytime I'm workin' on cleanin' things up for the battle of the bands, nights I go to her place just t'hold her when she has nightmares. I woulda NEVER gone this far for anyone... other than maybe Danny, and even then there's no way in hell I'd sleep over," he told her bluntly. "Hell, I beat the livin' wax outta Sparrow when he started whinin' about the first time he died. I'm not that nice of a guy, deep down. So right now I'm not actin' like myself, and it's unnerving."
He shrugged. "I dunno Titus well enough to say he's actin' out of character... do you?"

"Wouldn't know. I don't listen to love songs. Just classical music." Lyricless, so there were thousands of ways for someone to translate them. She had never really bothered listening to songs. Words belonged in books, not music.
Well, Roch was apparently changing his habits just for a certain someone. Riyo wasn't sure if that was a good or bad thing. "If it's that unnerving, don't do it." She didn't have a basis of the feeling to tell him it was good, so she just tossed out the first thought. Not like anything was really that easy. "Or you could beat yourself up." That was valid, right?
Scratching the back of her neck, Riyo thought about Roch's question. "Not really. He's still a heartless douche. Just now he seems like a heartless douche on a mission." The ghoul offered. "Maybe if I cut my hair short and started wearing really baggy clothes he'd get off my case."

"I wish it was that simple," Roch admitted. "And hell, you can try. But if you're changin' yourself to get rid of him, it's not that different from changin' yourself to get him. Just like y'said, if it's too inconvenient, don't do it." He sighed. "How about this. Get someone to kick his a** if he shows up uninvited. Enough beatings and he'll probably think it's not worth it--regardless of how great your a** is. Problem solved."

Once again, Roch had a valid point. Seemed like he was on a roll today. "No, if anyone is going to kick his a**, it's going to be me. I don't want people to fight my battles. That's just stupid." That's how she felt, at least. Accepting help had never been one of her strong points, after all.
"And stop talking about my a**!" Then Riyo was red as a tomato again. Oh lawdy. "Go look at your ghoulfriends a** or something. That's what she's there for, right?!"

"I do," Roch said shamelessly, highly amused with this conversation. "She's a serious babe," he bragged. "A bit ditzy, though, not gonna lie. She and Danny get along like a house on fire, so I guess that's good. But hey, you might find her interesting. She's part fish, after all." Was that stereotyping? Eh, oh well.
"You should find a band and join the battle of the bands," he said abruptly. "It's gonna be fun. And it might get your mind off the whole Titus problem!"

What- Had he just said... "A house on fire?" Riyo repeated, temporarily ignoring everything else. "A house on fire." It didn't really matter who the hell Danny was or why it mattered. A house on fire. "How does that even make sense? I don't even- Ugh." Whatever. "Talking about your ghoulfriend being ditzy when that s**t comes out of your mouth." Okay moving on. "Find her... Interesting. Right. Roch, I don't find fish interesting. I find them delicious. Just putting that out there." Obviously Riyo couldn't eat another halloweener, but that didn't mean she wouldn't think about it. The image that popped up in her head was a salmon with a big rack and bodacious a**. Slightly appealing.
"No I shouldn't." It appeared Riyo was planning on completely shrugging him off. "You've only mentioned it about five times since we started talking. I knew you'd eventually bring it up, but like I've said when people ask me about music club, I don't play well with others."

"But it's more... beating well ON others than playing well with them," Roch said. "Oh well, at least show up. I'm gonna try and get some stuff set up outside the stadiums, maybe some snack stands, too, and you can watch bands beat the living crap out of each other, it's all good."
He looked at her curiously. "It'll be something outside of your room," he added.
