"I...I would like you to stay." Mitsu confirmed softly. "I was by myself so long I...I don't want to be alone anymore." She offered him a weak smile when he said he would always be there for her. It was reassuring and comforting, much like his gesture of tucking her in.
Her eyes widened a bit though as he got closer. For a moment, a brief moment, it seemed like he had something else in mind. When he stopped and hovered over her she stared back into his eye for a long moment waiting but instead he pulled away.
There was a brief look of disappointment before she smiled faintly again and nodded. "I will."

It was nice to see her smiling, but for now he didn't have it in him to return the expression. While she went to settle down and get some much needed rest, Shun remained at the edge of the bed for a little longer, wanting to make sure she was asleep before moving away. In the meantime, he had just been watching her quietly, having a number of things going on through his mind. She didn't think that he had been weak, but he felt very different on the matter.
Letting out a sigh, he eventually got on up off the bed and removed his shirt finally so he could redress his wounds. He knew where her first aid kit was so he was able to work on treating himself. He did this as quietly as he could so as to not disturb the girl as she rested.
When that was all done, he simply sat onto the couch and let himself relax as he kept an eye on Mitsu from where he was. There he remained until sunrise, not sleeping a wink in the hours that had passed. A part of him, was afraid she'd somehow be whisked away if he fell asleep. He knew it was irrational, but he really did not want to lose her again. Especially not so soon. Besides, he didn't really feel like he had it in him to be able to fall asleep.
Restless nights were ahead of him for sure, he felt.

From where she laid Mitsu watched Shun for the longest time until her eyes finally drifted closed and sleep claimed her. She didn't move the entire night she slept, be it exhaustion or deep sleep she was out not even the loudest of noises waking her. Mitsu didn't rise again until well passed the time the pumpkin sun was in the sky, her eyes flying open and staring at the ceiling for a moment. She still seemed tired despite her solid rest.
Slowly, very slowly, she began to push her way up. Her movements seemed almost pained like her body was stiff but she still managed to push her way to the edge of the bed to let her legs dangle over the side. It took her a moment to realize Shun was still on the couch, where he had been when she shut down. "Did...you not sleep?"
It took her a moment but Mitsu pushed her way out of bed, her stance wobbly and far from steady but she wanted to investigate this room that was her's. There were lots of pictures it seemed, more faces and only a couple she could point out, a keyboard which she seemed almost hesitant to touch, bookbag and....food bowls.
"Do I have mini pets?"

When Mitsu woke up, Shun looked over towards her, watching her carefully, especially when she started to get up. She looked as if she was rather sore, not that he could blame her.
"I didn't feel like sleeping," he replied quietly while looking a little concerned as she started to stand up. Grimacing, he got up as well to move over by her. She looked pretty unsteady, so he wanted to be close just in case her legs decided to give out. Judging his own movements, he was a bit stiff himself.
The Reaper felt some disappointment as he noticed her taking in her surroundings, and at her question. She still didn't remember anything.
"..You do. A few actually. Milo the boafox, Tobimaru the cycorgi, an unnamed raptor, and Ziggy the acrobat cat... I suggest you don't take the last one out of the closet as she has a tendency to claw me up on sight," he said with his tone growing a bit flat towards the end. Letting out a sigh, he looked her over.
"..How do you feel?"

He listed off her mini pets but with everything else it didn't seem to spark a memory. She just appeared lost as she tried to remember it all looking around the room until he asked how she was feeling.
"I feel.." She paused to think. "Tired...and still a bit lost." She admitted. Her fingers gently touched the keyboard before she continued on slowly toward a bookshelf. "It's...like being in someone else's dream."
She staggered a bit but still retained her balance by bracing her hands against the wall. As she reached the bookshelf she found text books and multiple volumes of fantasy novels and notebooks. Lots and lots of notebooks. And with the theme of the room more pictures though these were just sitting about. More pictures of her and Shun.
"Tell me...about us." She looked toward him pleadingly. "I want to know."

Shun's expression softened as he heard her speak, but then nodded quietly. When she stumbled, he reached out, ready to catch her, but it wasn't needed. As she continued to look around, he hesitantly placed a hand onto her shoulder, spying pictures of the two of them together.
"Of course.." he said before pausing, "Where.. would you like me to begin?"
There was a lot to be said. He wasn't sure what to say first.

"Well...umm.." Mitsu tried to think, turning toward Shun so that she could hold onto his arm for balance though she was hesitant to do so at first. "Maybe..the beginning? Or things we do together or....stuff I like?" Mitsu didn't even know that apparently.
"I'm just hoping I can piece things together."

Shun took note of that hesitance. While he tried not to let it bother him, it was these little cues here and there in her body language that made it hurt all the more. Little things here and there only reminded him that she was no longer familiar with him. It was like salt to the wound.
"Alright.. well...over a year ago on the day we met, you had gotten stuck in a tree. I helped you down... but it was really mostly because my own minipet was chattering in my ear over it," he said while glancing to the ground briefly, "You see... I'm.. not a very good person over all. I can be rude. Blunt. Ruthless... you get the idea. I come from a criminal family and was hardened at an early age. At that time you were much more timid.. always wearing a mask over your face. Despite this.. we somehow became friends."
He paused and took a breath, making his way to go sit at the edge of the bed once again.
"Time went on and we grew closer. I never really had friends prior and I noticed I was starting to feel strange. I didn't know what it was but I was falling in love with you. I didn't realize this until we were at a field trip.. the trips at this school are often riddled with danger and this was no exception. To this day I am surprised that you returned the feelings to me."
As he said all of this, his voice remained soft, thinking back to those times.
"We were together from there on, and time only strengthened our bond. Love was.. and still is in a way.. a foreign thing to me. I .. never felt it in any form before. A few months back at a sort of picnic and memorial for another friend, you proposed to me. It took me by surprise and I was a little hesitant... but only because I wanted you to be sure that this was what you wanted. And that was the day we became engaged.." he whispered, "We might not have known one another for too long, but we have been through much."
He paused and took his pendant off of him for the first time since he had received it, just so she could take a closer look at it if she so chose.
"You gave me this for Christmastival," he uttered, "Just as the orchid around your neck was given to you by me. It's the only thing I had that belonged to my mother."
The Reaper took in a deep breath. He wasn't used to saying so much at once, but... he wanted to try and get something out of her. Any memory.
"We often enjoy one another's company, relaxing. But now and then we will play our instruments with one another... You're a pianist. While I have a guitar. We also take walks, sometimes spar and train. We.."
He stopped there, trailing off. The more he said this, he found that it was starting to get a little harder for him to speak. All these things that happened... Would they truly mean nothing to her now?

The subtle hints of pain seemed to always be there. She wasn't sure what she could do to fix it, mend it, or make it better. Little things that she did or didn't do seemed to upset him. Even as he spoke he seemed to have trouble with it, pouring out the memories of their relationship.
There was so much detail for such a short relationship, it seemed to have taken leaps in so little time. Her hand reached up for the necklace he had taken off, cradling it in her hand gently before her other hand reached up to touch the necklace around her own neck. "Christmastival?"
Her eyes then drifted from the necklace to the keyboard that sat a little ways away from them. She seemed sad as she regarded the instrument. "I'm sorry...I don't know....remember..," She amended. "...how to play."
She turned back to Shun reaching up to place the necklace back around his neck. "This must be...painful for you." She said softly a sad note to her tone. He had trailed off, unable to finish. "I will do my best to remember. There's no way I could completely forget you, I'm sure of it. I would...understand though. If you didn't want to be around me." She looked sad as she said it. So far he had been her solid hold on a world that didn't make sense.

Shun needed to take a few moments to stomp back down the pain that had rose from speaking. He was finding that it was harder to do this than it was to ignore physical hurt. That he was accustomed to doing.. but emotional pain was a whole other matter that he wasn't as familiar with.
His gaze turned towards the keyboard in her room.
"Playing an instrument.. deals with muscle memory a fair deal. You may not feel like you know how to play but I am sure that if you sat down and started to hit notes... you'll surprise yourself," he said softly, finding his voice again. The Reaper remained still for her as she placed the necklace back onto him.
"I hope you will be able to... I... I miss you.." he murmured quietly. He had fought hard to get her back.. but even now she wasn't completely back just yet. She may never too...
"N-no. I'm not going anywhere. Pain or not you still need to recover physically too. I will do all I can to help you."

"I..if you say so," Mitsu looked to the instrument again rather uncertain but didn't approach it just yet. That would be something to try later...maybe.
Her eyes drifted back to Shun sadly, reaching out to hug him. The gesture at least didn't seem awkward as she stayed close. "I really am sorry. I don't know why I don't remember."
She pulled back slightly to look him in the eye, "I appreciate that you're willing to stick by me. I..don't know who else to lean on and I know this can't be easy for you."

Seeing her gesture, Shun leaned in for the hug, taking what scraps of comfort from her he could. With her here like this, he found himself craving for how she was prior to this whole fiasco. Unconsciously, he rested his head onto her shoulder before she pulled back to stare him in the eye.
"I'm just... not really accustomed to dealing with things like this.. Physical injury I am used to.. If I were stronger perhaps things would be a little different for me," he said quietly before glancing to the side, "I am very relieved that you're alive... I.. I don't know what I'd do if you had been..."
He trailed off again, seeing flashes of that hallucination. The sword and shield.
"You have other friends as well.."

"This is rather new to me too.." Mitsu admitted nervously. "I'm glad I have someone like you though." She reached up a hand to press against the side of his face. "Please try not to be too upset....if I don't remember right away. I will do my best to keep you from waiting but I just..." There was nothing certain about her condition.
It was only then that she took in his state of semi dress, her cheeks blushing a bit as she took a step further back. "S...sorry." And then his injuries came to light, his bandages and bruises. "They hurt you?"

"I will do my best to be patient. And if there is anything you need at all.. please let me know. Anything you want to know... whether good or bad I will tell.." he said before taking in a deep breath, "This.. will not be easy though, I feel.."
Noticing her blush when she looked at him, he remembered that he hadn't replaced his shirt yet. It didn't help that she didn't really used to be bothered by things like this before. Shun looked down at himself, at his bandages, and shrugged lightly.
"I was desperate to get you back.. but this sort of thing is not new to me. You... have had to patch me up on multiple occasions," he murmured. There was also the fact that he was covered with scars.
This also reminded him... that dress she wore was not what she had when she was taken. Most likely... the hunter provided it. Frowning, he felt a surge of anger hit him as he wanted to shred that dress now.
"... You should probably change. That dress isn't bad but I'm sure you would prefer wearing something that is yours and not some... cloth given to you by those bastards."

Her eyes trailed over his torso and the many scars he had that were still visible. "Why have you been injured so badly?"
She was only distracted from the answer he might provide when he mentioned her dress. Her brows furrowed a bit looking down at the blue garment, pulling out the skirt a bit to look at. "This...isn't mine?" She seemed torn on what she should do, looking at the dress with a bit of disappointment before she looked around the room and spotted a closet.
"I guess I'll change then," Slowly she headed to the closet though it was the wrong one. The one she was headed to contained mini pets, her hand reaching out for the handle.
