It was hard for Shun to be fast at all right now. He took the kick hard, causing him to roll over and actually cry out in pain. That area was rather sore and damaged from his fight with Candace so the swift kick caused the world go to burn white for a few moments as he laid there, nursing his side. However, as much as that hurt, it seems the mental imagery brought on by the Valkyrie's words caused him far more distress than the kick itself had. Closing his eye, he tried hard to push said images out of his mind. His anger had diffused for now, but he still wasn't quite cooperative. Shakily and slowly, he got back to his feet. He was having some trouble standing now. Without saying anything, he just sort of staggered towards the door.

Maybe she was just waiting for Shun to stop fighting…so when the reaper moved past her to go inside, she followed, peacefully.
Hel fell in step with Shun, lacing her fingers behind her neck. “I got some stew and bandages in my bag…I even got some tea, since I know you like the stuff.” Hel uttered conversationally.

"..Why do you have tea...?" he murmured with a wince. Shun paused as he looked up the stairs. Sometimes he hated living on the fourth floor. Taking a deep breath, he gritted his teeth and began a painful ascent.
In any case, he didn't know Hel to be a tea drinker.

“I have tea because you like tea.” Hel replied, making a bit of a sour face. “Went out and bought some, because I did not know if you had any or not…and I did not just want to assume you had some. Maybe you ran out?” The ghoul shrugged, noting Shun’s wince, and well yeah…she couldn’t blame him.
Offering to carry him up the stairs though would be an insult to his honor she was sure…so Hel matched him step for step up the stairs. Even though it was painfully slow going. “I do not like the stuff, honestly. It is weak…but I will drink it I suppose...”

"It is not weak," Shun muttered as he continued to push his way up the stairs. Jacking hell this was kind of painful, but he pressed on anyway.
"That still does not answer my question. Why did you buy tea on my behalf?"
Once they were on the third floor, he had to pause for a few moments, nursing his sore side as he did so. His hands were both covered with blood that was fairly fresh. It probably wasn't a hard guess to assume he was cut up somewhere.

“Ha, Shun, when you slam mead and pure apple cider like water back where I am from, then tea is weak.” She grinned very lightly at the reaper before it faded. The ghoul paused on the third floor when Shun paused, looking him over and frowning at the blood on his hands. Looks like she had some patch work to do! “Come on, Shun, we are almost there.” She patted his shoulder a bit, and took a step up the stairs.
At his demand, Hel looked back at him. “…You ask like it is a hard thing to figure out, Shun. I bought you tea…the same reason you followed me to talk when I was upset. Because we are friends.”

Shun paused and stared at Hel.
"Tea is not meant to be alcoholic. Don't compare it to such," he muttered. When she patted his shoulder and offered a word of support, he actually sort of glared at her, feeling like he was being patronized right about now.
"Friends... The old man considers these things along with loved ones to be weaknesses for a man," he said quietly.
Continuing up the last set of stairs he needed to climb, he finally turned into the hallway and made his way towards his room. There, he leaned against the wall for the moment so he could unlock his door and go in.

“Tea would be more awesome if it had alcohol in it…” Hel mused, ignoring the glare Shun shot at her, but glanced back at him when he spoke about friends and loved ones being liabilities. “…It is just a matter of opinion, I suppose. I see both sides of that fence…but…eh.” Hel shrugged. “What do you think, friend?”
The reaper climbed the rest of the stairs with him, and paused once he was outside his room again. “I can find a kettle in your kitchen, ya?” Hel asked as she waited.

"It most certainly would not."
Tea would be horrible with alcohol. He wouldn't be able to drink it if that were the case. Once he was in his room, Shun paused for a moment as she asked him his opinion.
"I can see what he meant. It's because of these things that I now feel a great pain I had never experienced before. I.. don't even really know how to deal with it.."
He had gotten angry. And that had only ended up with him getting himself beaten down more or less. The Reaper still wanted to get back at the hunters badly, but he wasn't sure if that would really help him heal all that much. It wasn't as simple as a physical injury.
"The most of a kitchen you'll find here is the electric stove on the desk," he muttered while motioning to it. There indeed was a kettle next to it, however. That said, he made his way to his bed and gingerly removed his jacket.

She followed him in, closing the door behind her and kicked off her boots, pushing them near the door. “Praise be to Jack for that.” She replied. “The closer someone is, the more it hurts.” Hel agreed. “You want to keep everyone at a distance…but deep down…” She looked back at Shun. “You want someone close as well….” Hel paused. “…Honestly, Shun? I think it is fine that you do not know how to deal with it…I think I would be even more concerned if you were handling it well.”
She looked over as he motioned at the electric stove on his desk.
“…Oh.”
Hel looked very much at a loss and her brows furrowed. “….Jack, Shun! How do you prepare meals with only that!?” Hel grumbled as she went to go get the kettle and disappeared into the bathroom to fill it with water, and then returned, placing it on the electric stove and turning it on. With that started, Hel moved over to where the grim was and pulled off her side bag, placing it on his bed and started to dig out her own first aid kit.

Shun sat himself onto the bed, grimacing while looking down at his side. His shirt was cut and ripped and he could see some of the actual wound below. Yeah, he wasn't in very good shape. Though, he soon leaned forward to rest his arms against his knees as Hel spoke.
"I don't believe I wanted that prior to this school. As far as I'm aware at least," he said quietly. Now, he did. To be specific, he wanted Mitsu. The idea that he may never see her again genuinely scared him. Flashes of the hallucination he witnessed on War Island flickered before his eyes. No. He didn't want to lose her like that.
The Valkyrie's sudden complaint regarding his stove snapped him from his thoughts.
"I prepare them just fine. I have a rice cooker and a wok too you know," he muttered before watching her pull out the first aid kit.
"Why do I have the feeling you were planning this?"

“From the way you speak about your past, Shun…it seemed like you never had the chance for friendship before this school.” Hel pointed out, opening her first aid kit and laying out the alcohol wipe pads, gauze pads, and rolls upon rolls of gauze. She made another sour face. “Rice and…wok?” Hel grumped again. “Ugh…meat Shun!” The ghoul cried a bit exasperated. “Meat, bread, big vegetables, more meat…!” The reaper tapped her lip as she looked at her first aid kit, and her lips may have quirked into a knowing smirk at his question about her planning this.
“…Do you need that stitched…?” Hel answered his question with a question, gesturing at the wound. “Oh, also, what kind of tea do you want? I bouuught…” Hel’s brows furrowed. “…Gen-my-cha…uh…Ho-jee-cha aaaaaand…Koo-kee-cha….” Hel probably butchered those terribly. But she tried.

"More like I never bothered. It seemed pointless. I didn't need friends," Shun said with a shrug. Seeing how Hel looked pretty intent on patching him up, he let out a sigh and removed his shirt gingerly so that they could get to the wounds without them in the way.
"You act like I never go shopping for these things. Food does not simply spawn in the pot," he muttered.
He was pretty bloodied and bruised to say in the very least. It meshed with his scars nicely. Only not. The deepest cut was at his side from when Candace had kicked him across the room pretty much. Damn those bladed boots.
"Stitching may be a good idea. And.... What?"

“It would be a beautiful world if food did spawn in the pot.” Hel sighed wistfully, taking a moment to look over the wounds as her brows furrowed. “…Woah. Shun…what is all that?” She made a vague gesture to his torso that was just riddled with scars. Sweet Sally, what was he getting into that made all those!? Regardless, Hel cracked open some packs of alcohol wipes and immediately got to work cleaning up the blood and grime. Wouldn’t do to patch up something dirty after all.
“…Teas.” Hel replied. “Those are the three different teas I bought. Which one do you want?”

"They're injuries. What do they look like?" Shun said flatly, granted he thought she was talking about his current wounds rather than the scars. She would need to be more elaborate in what she was referring to.
As she began to clean the wounds, he grimaced while she worked. Cleaning was never a painless experience, but it was one he was fairly familiar with so he just rode it out, waiting for it to ebb before speaking again.
"Any of them should do."
Not like he could read the packaging.
