"Shocking, isn't it ?" The Dragon King answered with an amused laugh. There would probably be no end to the teasing coming from the little wyrmling about it.
Somehow, he liked it that way.
Bringing forth scales was easy and quick enough, and he wasted no time making his way to the water.
"This is similar to swimming in an humanoid form, really..."
At the base, anyway. He wanted to make sure Tien had that part down before he added wings to the mix.

Tien's stood, following after him into the water. "I know how to do that at least." Though there had not been an opportunity to use that particular skill since her rebirth. Her tail trailed through the water and the tip flicked suddenly, sending water over at Xun. An action he probably expected at some point or another, given who he was dealing with.

Being splashed was unsurprising. To not have expected such mischief out of a little wyrmling would have been a silly notion. Unfortunately for Tien, she was outranked as long as they were in the dragon's element. The wave that gathered and rippled in her direction was certainly not as impressive as the one he had conjured out of panic on Daelyth, but certainly much more precise - enough to carry his point across without risking the goddess being taken under by the strength of the wave.
"You can use your wings and tail as well." And then he continued just as if nothing had happened. "This is how you get most of your speed, as well as your precision. This is very similar to flying."
And he set of to demonstrate, making his way through the lake with obvious ease.

Tien snorted a bit of water, rumbling in amusement, after recovering from being hit by the wave. Being at pretty much point blank range made it nigh impossible. He had managed to surprise her, though she really should have expected it. Turnabout was fair play after all. Alright. Now that the obvious mischief was over with she would be a good wyrmling. Maybe.
She sat in the shallows and watched him as he demonstrated. It did not seem that hard...less complicated than flying at least.

There were indeed differences from flying - mainly, there was less risk of crash landing - but the principle behind it was the same.
Xun Jiang did a few back and forth lengths in demonstration before settling beside her. "Try it ?"
He would keep an eye out just in case the little wyrmling decided to mimic a rock and sink, but he did not expect that would happen. Still, better be prepared.

Tien moved further into the water to give it a try. It took a little bit to get going but once she did it would be clear that there would not be any problems. She would never be as quick as a water dragon but it was something. After a bit she would start darting down deeper under water before coming back to the surface.

She seemed to be doing well enough. Not fast by any mean, but that would come with practice.
"That is good." He nodded, still watching over her carefully as she moved. "For some, flight is faster... But I have always been faster in the water than I was in the air." So rivers would be his preferred navigation routes, through flight in general was still quite handy.

Tien surfaced once more. "Lifewater, duh."
She dove under again, swimming around a bit longer before returning to the shallows where he waited. "Thank you for this..." Not just the swimming lesson, but for giving her a place to hide and putting up with her mood as well.

The lifewater comment got a chucke out of the Dragon King. She indeed had a point there. Still, who knew, maybe one day this may be of use to her, to know this.
"I figured you would need it. I could see the tempers rising back there." And he would likely be the one to deal with them when they were gone. Joy. Through perhaps the fact that he was more or less unknown to most of the others might very well work to his advantage. Saljin and Tempest looked like they could be reasoned with, at least, and Jesran...
Well, hopefully Tien had knocked him down a few pegs. "I wish I had been there to see that, through." He admitted. He had never seen Tien fight, per-se - there had been no reason to do so on Daelyth. "Hopefully he learned his lesson, through."

Tien snorted. There had not been much to see, at least according to her. "I hope so too, for his sake." She would not happy if that became a repeat performance. Jesran's heart was in the right place though, even if he had been dead wrong in his accusations, the man was just worried about his family. She could not fault him for that. Hopefully he would be able to actually trust her eventually.

"Is everyone else doing alright ? I have not heard from Taj or the twins, so I am going to assume Tempest and Saljin were not as bull-headed as the patriarch." He voiced his thoughts this time around, laying down in the water, only keeping his head above it. The koi fluttered back and forth around him, having figured out that he was no threat a long time ago.
"I can tell Akakios is nervous, through." He sighed. "I do not know him well, but I know his mother... It will likely be as hard for her to let him go as it will be for him to actually go."

"I left dealing with Tempest and Saljin to my brother. They may not be thrilled, but they will see reason I think." Tien sighed softly. She hoped anyway, the mage and shifter were usually pretty level headed men, but they worried about Tajnevaki because he was their friend.
As for Akakios. "He will be alright. We will find a way so he can stand on his own so he does not feel like a burden, but watch his back at the same time."

"That will be the best way... He has much to learn. And to think... We were all young like him, once." It was hard for him to picture... Especially so with his complete lack of pre-fading memory. "But he will not learn if he does not leave this place, experiment things for himself rather than rely on books to tell him everything. It was a smart decision to take him along."
At least, if he was on a similar level than Glyph and Cosine, the boy was probably more resilient than it would look like.
"You can stay the night, if you wish. Hopefully tommorow what tempers remain will have cooled off." Jasran's, or her own temper ? Both, perhaps.

"I would, but I will have to decline. Enjiron will be missing me, I think." Tien gave him a knowing draconic grin before climbing out of the lake and shaking off the excess water.

And that... amused Xun Jiang. Greatly. "That is true. Would not want him to think I have stolen you away with my charm and obvious good looks." Oh, it was too hard to resist teasing. Would he pay for it ? Probably.
Whenever he expected it the least, knowing Trickery.
