Moss_Eisley Wigs are really, really hard to work with. Plus, once their cut, thats it, the hair doesnt come back. Using natural hair is also better because it make the cosplay look less...trashy i guess is the best word. Sometimes wigs are necessary but i would try to avoid using one at all costs. true, i agree, esspecailly cheap thin wigs, and right now im more worried with costume supplies.

x,D and "Pink" (Aerosmith) come on my iTunes. Personally I'd go with a wig, since most "non-natural" dyes (ie; bright colors like pink, orange baby-blue) most always have to be dyed first, and bleach can REALLY hurt your hair. (if your worried about that, that is)

I am not sure what kind of hair you have. If you have thicker and darker hair like my girlfriend (asian hair), the dye may work but not quite have that shiny bright pink effect.
There are good and bad sides to this thing:
HAIR DYE:
easier to dye your hair than to buy/cut/style a wig
Cheaper than a wig
WIG:
Has the true anime brightness.
I think that if you have $$$ and experience with wigs or know someone who does, you should go with the wig. However, if you don't have money or experience, dye is better.

I don't really care for dying my hair just for a cosplay. Especially since it's really dark so any other colour than black I would have to belahc my hair which I have no intention of doing.
But aside from dying your hair or putting on a wig, you can always go with hairsprays ^^ The results aren't as nice but you can wash it right out and they come in a whole bunch of colours ^^ Of course f you have surper long hair, you'd prolly be better off jus wearing a wig though >>

Dying hair is nothing big as long as you're doing it correctly~
If you're doing it yourself:
If you're going for a lighter color, I reccomend bleaching it first because if you have brown hair and are trying to go blonde, it will turn auburn. Bleach it first then give your hair a few days of rest then you can dye it the color you want it.
When dying any color (this doesn't include bleach) BE SURE TO USE DYE WITH COLORSILK IN IT! I can't emphasize this anymore than I am right now. If it doesn't have colorsilk in it, when you dye your hair it will itch and it actually burns your hair and scalp because of the salts in the dye. Plus, if you decide to get it done later by a professional and have box hair dye in, it can melt all of the hair together and off of your head.
Most of all: protect your hair. Nobody wants fried crispy hair or hair that breaks when you run a brush through it. Go to your local salon and ask about hair care for the aftermath of dying. I got some cream that restores the proteins in your hair because a lot of them are stripped when you dye your hair.
Sounds too complicated? Get a wig or let a professional do it. Dying your hair isn't all that hard as long as you do it right. I promise.

i just want to warn people about a really bad experience i had.
i used a foreign-made purple dye, whose (translated) info said it would "rinse out".
it turned out that after seventeen (17) shampoos and rinses my hair managed to turn from purple to emergency-vehicle orange.
so the moral is, use local products who use language you can understand, and who have local people you can sue if they mess up.

Now, i've never used this one before, but I heard it turns out good.
N rage Hair Colour it bleaches and clours in one, which is easy, and they have a pink at Sally's

hope that helped.. The N rage works REALLY well.... but you dont get very much dye in a box. I bought 3 boxes and it noware near covered my head (I have a litte bit longer then neck length hair) I'd need about 7 boxes to do all of my hair and at almost $10 a box... it gets kinda pricey... And pool water seems to fade it

If your gonna Use Hair Dye
you have to gell your hair *medium or strong hold* then hair dye (Spray Dyes or Dyes in a Box)
so that the hair dyes wont easily some off

If you have Manic Panic, leave it in way longer than half an hour. Try two hours. Then it comes out really good and it lasts way longer than one month. I had mine in for almost four.
