"Knights awaken on their own," Valhalla offered, his eyes still narrowed, but more or less holding himself back from getting too angry with this kid. "We have no cat to tell us what to do, and sometimes cats just awaken and leave senshi on their own. I don't like the fact that children are fighting, but at least they can better defend themselves. It's not like you're not still a child," he added with a nod. What...? Was he twelve or something?

"Of course I don't judge you as a collective," he nearly scoffed, offended that this General would think he did when he was obviously trying to talk to him and get him to see reason. "You're still all just human."

He opened his mouth to probably reiterate the fact that there was no Moon Queen, when a scream and sudden wave of chaotic energy brought him back to the world around him, and he quickly spun on the spot to try and pick up where the aura was coming from.

"Youma...?" he mumbled to himself, before ignoring Benitoite all together and making a run towards the next building over, certain that there was a youma trying to take the energy of someone down in the alley below.

"Someone should be kind enough to be around when you awaken...and leave you more aware of things. I've met a few knights who were nothing short of clueless and wanted nothing to do with fighting, they weren't suited to this at all really." Sniffing gently, his pointed upward as he spoke, his head even turned just a bit to the side as he spoke. "The cats should be dealt with, and shown little mercy." He disliked them, that much was for sure with how he spoke.

"They bring children, which I am not, into a war. Surely they do not sleep peacefully, not any more." He spoke with a shake of his head, thinking of the nightmares he'd had. If he hadn't been able to sleep peacefully, and he was seventeen, how bad was it for a pre-teen. How did parents not notice exhausted children who woke from nightmares? He didn't dare to continue to ponder that.

He too felt the energy signature and followed the knight. He was not about to let the youma be killed. If he could get there first he could handle the youma, hopefully, and send it away. Leaping from the roof top to the next, his legs shorter kept him from catching up to the taller knight. The thought of teleporting didn't even hit him as his mind raced now as he wondered what sort of youma this would be, would they listen. he didn't have a personal youma as some did and had never tried to get one to do something for him. He hoped this would work.

"Don't kill it." The don't you dare part was unsaid.

"Then call it off!" Valhalla called over his shoulder, the anger and fear for the person in his voice made it sound almost like a growl. He didn't wait for the General to catch up, but dropped right down between the buildings, landing with a thud and rolling forward once before pushing himself up to displace the fall. He'd never actually tried it before and figured he could have done it more gracefully, but it kept him from breaking his legs. And the drop hadn't been that high, anyway. He could probably easily jump half way up.

But there was no time to bother with things like that. Instead he grabbed for his compass as a youma the size of a horse and looking much like a deformed Gremlin, descended on its victim. A beam of green light shot out the compass, but only for a moment, just long enough to get the youma's leg slip out from under it as it attempted to step forward.

"Get back!" he yelled at it, as if that would help, hurrying forward to the man's side to get him to safety. The man, probably homeless, although Valhalla did his best not to judge on appearance, let out another terrified yell at the squire's appearance, not seeming to know what to do now that he was cornered by both sides.

Now wasn't the time to start handing out pamphlets about senshi and knights and youma and chaos, though.

Growling softly he followed after the knight and jumped off the roof top and down into the alley. He really shouldn't have but when he landed he did so in a crouch. He'd hit the ground hard, jaring himself, as he righted himself. Slate eyes moved over the scene.

"It would seem like your scaring the poor civilian." The youma was looked over for a moment, it was large and rather...unattractive. He didn't like to judge or think badly of them, even if it only concerned looks, but he couldn't much help it. He was human after all.

"You should put your little toy away knight, in case I can't get it to leave and your toy provokes it." He stated, looking back to the knight while placing himself between the two humans and the youma who was advancing. He'd never done this and hoped he could keep this youma safe by backing it off.

Understanding it needed energy he turned his attention back to the stilled, and staring, youma. "You need to leave here. This isn't a safe place to seek energy this evening." He spoke, calm and showing much more consideration and care for the youma as he spoke. "Turn and find your energy elsewhere this eve, find another person." As he spoke he raised a hand and pointed down the alley way toward the street beyond. He was kind in his words and tone of voice but there was the note of command in his voice as well. He hoped it wouldn't refuse his words, find some weakness in his words and defy him.

"That's not the point!!" Valhalla sputtered in disbelief at the General, watching as he told it to find someone else. He kept his compass in his hand, not willing to drop it now that he felt the need to stop the youma. "You said yourself that you protected civilians, didn't you?? Send it back to where it came from!! If you don't want me to kill it, then get it away from Earth! Where the hell do they come from, anyway??" he asked out loud, ignoring the terrified whimpers from the man he was standing in front of to try and protect.

"My magic isn't going to hurt it, but I will stop it from hurting someone else, Benitoite!" he glared, wondering if he should back down now and cut his losses.

He was still only a squire. He didn't have the power this General had... was he just setting himself up for a night like when he'd run into Painite? He didn't think he wanted to put his boyfriend through another traumatizing experience of having to call him to get him from the hospital.

"If you don't want me to get rid of it, then make it go back to wherever it's from. Please..."

After all, he didn't want to insult or offend Benitoite... he just wanted to protect the civilians of the city.

"And I said they need energy to live. Civilians I do protect but I also protect the youma." He stated, looking over his shoulder at the other. "They are from the Earth, they were the people of Earth who fought the Moon's Queen. They belong here more than you and the senshi who aren't originally from here." His words now came out as a cold hiss as slate eyes narrowed. Turning fully to face the knight, the civilian was than glanced to. "You should leave, your safe. Go about your way." He was safe anyway really, he'd have only had his energy drained. He'd never seen a youma kill a person, or heard of it happening.

"Those youma were and are hero's, hero's punished to suffer as they do. It's the least we can do to allow them the energy they need in order to live and continue on. I won't deny it the energy it needs. I will keep it from here, for it's own safety. But I will not send it back to where it came from." He stated while he stood waiting to see what the knight would do. He didn't draw his weapon, whether he was that confident in himself or he didn't want to escalate things remained unknown.

"We are from here!! Senshi and Knights are from Earth. Forget the past!! The past is over! Stop claiming that we're some aliens who showed up out of the blue! This is our home too, and the more you deny it, the more close-minded and ignorant I'm going to think you are!"

Valhalla wanted none of this. He would much rather not fight at all, but he wasn't going to be kicked out of his own home just because some p***k kid thought they didn't deserve it.

"Maybe there's a way to turn them back, or to help them retain their life other than siphoning people's energy. I don't know. We can't exactly work together if we're always fighting against each other!" he pointed out, his fingers clutching the outer ring of the gyrocompass like a he would a baseball.

"I didn't mean to kill it by 'sending it back'... Where do they come from? They don't just pop into existence do they?" he prodded, wondering if there would be a way to try and stop them from entering the city at all.

"And..." he added as an after thought. "Knights originally come from Earth. In the past, Valhalla was originally from the area around Italy before being sent to Jupiter," he said, remembering the latin words that had been etched into the pocket watch his past self had owned. He didn't know what they said, but he knew enough to know how much they stood out against the Jovian writing he didn't understand. Did he know for sure his past self had been from Italy? Of course not... It was just a wild guess, but he thought it was a decently educated one.

"Maybe it wasn't the Moon with all the power, if the Earth could afford to send out so many knights to different planets."
PostPosted: Fri Aug 10, 2012 10:19 pm

"They have a life." At least as much as they could. He thought of the pub and them handing out drinks and the band of music playing youma. How many senshi and knights would that shock if they were to see it? He was sure a fair few would find such a sight shocking to say the least. But this wasn't the time to think about such things.

"Unless a starseed can be repaired. It's that happens when too much energy is taken in and a starseed shatters. So unless there is a means by which to repair one they cannot be what they once were, and if there was would you wish that upon them? While it's a novel idea you'd be putting people from how long ago into this modern world." It would be cruel as far as he was concerned, even though he was a fan of the youma and supported them.

"Yes, now you are. But as you said let us put the past aside." For now at least. He was close-minded in some things. He couldn't help it, not when the past directly influenced the present and fed right into it. If it wasn't for the past the present wouldn't be! He wouldn't be involved in this war, no one would.

"No, they don't simply pop into assistance." He spoke wondering if he should answer and just how much he should say. How much of an answer should he give. What was too much? Then again when had he ever much cared for what he said. "They live where we go, a safe place for us. A place no one but us and our allies can get to. They live there." He wouldn't say they lived where the palace of Earth stood as an eerie, sad, dilapidated testament to the horrors of war.

"Knights...from Earth, aside from that annoying green haired one and her equally annoying knight in shining armor. Your were back than from Earth then how is it you are a knight of Jupiter?" Ok so this was news to him and he was making this fact a little, or a lot, obvious.

"If a Negaverse officer can be purified, I'm sure there's a way to help youma."

What the hell, Valhalla...? He was starting to sound like he was rooting for the other team. He wasn't! He just wanted to figure out a way for them all to live in peace! If they all got what they wanted, or at least found a way to compromise, then maybe it would be easier. This guy apparently really liked youma, so anything to try and get him to relent was worth a shot, right??

"A safe place?" he blinked in confusion, his curiosity growing. Convenient... he thought the knights and senshi had a safe place too, in the lonely expanse of space, but even then youma had somehow made it to the Surrounding, and soon followed by the DMC and the Negaverse...

"We are from Earth," he reiterated. "I've seen memories of my past life... Valhalla was only a kid when he was sent to Jupiter. He took a pledge of duty and loyalty to the planet and the wonder." As for the knight with green hair, Valhalla shook his head. "I don't think I know any with green--"

No... that wasn't true. He'd seen her in the meeting they'd all been brought to. The woman who wouldn't settle down and jumped on Babylon for some of the things he'd said. "Oh..." was his only response.
PostPosted: Fri Aug 10, 2012 10:53 pm

"We have an intact starseed, they don't." He snapped. "You can't create a new one, since they no longer have one. There is nothing which can be done." And he did feel for the youma. They were hero's as far as he was concerned and deserved his respect and aid when and where he could give it.

"So you were from here and sent there...why? And an pledge, what did that pledge contain? You see...the one thing I seek is to know why those knights and senshi from elsewhere became in whatever happenedin the past. This is the one big thing of the past I know not and it is the one thing I want to know the most." And perhaps the other didn't know but perhaps he did. Benitoite didn't realize that he could have been a knight in the past. There were not past memories or anything which could tell him that or tell him what he wanted to know. He didn't know that knights were either reborn or descended either and this new information helped him fill in some more gaps, and it would all find it's way to his notebook by evenings end.

"Yes, I assume you know of whom I speak. She is...most annoying. Her and her hypocrite of a partner. I loathe both of them though her more so. Weak and pathetic. Truly if knights were all from Earth in the past and were sent elsewhere...someone should have sent them both away. Assuming that would mean neither would at present be knights of Earth." Oh he really didn't like either of them. He enjoyed attacking both of them, her more than him. Benitoite still considered Camelot worthy of talking to, he was inelegant, but he didn't like the new turn the knight had taken as he'd gone and become a hypocrite and all because of some woman - pathetic.

"You don't know until you try..." he frowned. "No one knew Negaverse officers could be purified until Lina..." He paused, not knowing how much he should get into it. He'd never really met her. Just heard of her... Would it incite a bad reaction or would Benitoite not care?

"My pledge?" he wondered, not minding sharing it at all. He lifted his hand to his heart out of the respect he felt for his planet and wonder inside his heart. "'I pledge my life and loyalty to Jupiter, and to Valhalla. I humbly request your aid, so that in return I may give you mine'... But there's nothing on Jupiter... Just ruins," he added, lowering his hand once more.

He hadn't realized just how much the General seemed to dislike Shallot or... he was going to assume Camelot was the 'partner' she was with. He didn't want to say anything to incite more anger, and he definitely didn't know Shallot well enough to judge her. He knew he hadn't been very pleased by her lack of tact, but everyone had their flaws.

"Whoever they were in the past would be different from who they are now," he said, not trying to defend or speak against them. "They might not even be reincarnated. Our souls are either reborn, or we're descended from the knights of the past." It was knowledge that he felt was useful for everyone to know. It made things less... black and white.
PostPosted: Fri Aug 10, 2012 11:38 pm

"Ruins...it would seem from what I've heard that everywhere is similar. They should be fixed...everything." He spoke thinking of the planets and...sights. The plant life and buildings and other things. Surely things could be repaired, slowly of course, but it could surely be done.

"I almost expected something more...elaborate or simply more in depth. But it is simple and works." And simple was sometimes better than it's opposite. He'd expected some pledge to include like devotion to nothing but protecting his...wonder and some words indicating he had no life but that. It wasn't due to anything he'd heard but a simple thought which had popped up into his own head, all on it's own.

"Interesting, another fact I was unaware of. It does add something more to things...knights either descended or reborn..." Tapping a foot as he tilted his head, blond hair falling across his face, before his head tipped back a bit. "Perhaps that is the case with them, descended. I certainly hope they are not reborn, if they were I wish they were not left on Earth. I do dislike them so much."

Finally he fixed the other with his slate eyes. "She is weak and lost a fight against me, you know." Not a question but a statement. "She sent him after me and he broke bones. The next time I met him and hurt him she came after me. It seems that neither wishes to play fair and would rather turn things into a rather complicated matter. A matter of you hurt the person I care for, and they came to me, so I'll avenge them because they can't handle themself. Not to mention that green haired one brought my mother into things and Camelot once spoke to me, before this whole soap opera started, and claimed to be a pacifist who wanted this war to end for us all." He spoke, deciding to let the other know just why he harbored such a strong dislike for the two knights.

"Now, you see why I have such a hope for them both." That neither was reborn. Descended worked better in his mind. Reborn meant more anger at the past, at the unfairness that they hadn't been shipped somewhere else.

"And how do you propose we fix worlds that have been destroyed with no tools for reconstruction or food?" he asked, getting a little annoyed again. It might be interesting to try and revive a greenhouse on Europa, but trying to revive entire worlds? "No work force, either. We only have enough energy to bring one, maybe two more people with us. But with no food and terrible weather, I doubt anyone would want to stay long on Jupiter."

It was just too much to ask them. Why did they have to leave?

"I could care less about fighting and violence," he reminded Benitoite when he recounted his story about the two knights, but he frowned in disapproval of the knights' actions. "I'm sorry you had to deal with that," he sad softly in response to having broken bones. "I don't want anyone to be hurt... There's so much more we can do if we didn't fight each other."

The man he'd saved from the youma had already run off down the alley, apparently not wanting to hear their chit chat or wait for the youma to come around again. That was fine by him, although he would have made sure the man at least got to a shelter.

"I don't want to fight you... Please take your youma and leave." Preferably without going to find another victim. "You say you protect the civilians of this city... Prove it. Otherwise you're just a hypocrite like all the others... Negaverse, Senshi, and Knights alike..."
PostPosted: Sat Aug 11, 2012 10:51 am

"You can't bring anything with you? I'd think you'd be able to bring something. Bring things, if you can, and little by little stock up what you need to make repairs. A greenhouse....that's easy." And it had his interest, plants were his thing really, so it was no wonder the mentioning of a greenhouse had his attention.

"I'm sure you could bring supplies and over time have enough to work on repairs. Bring food and work a short while...return here and go back and forth. Shouldn't those planets and places be rebuilt anyway? After all the destruction is, I'm sure, something which no one likes to see." Wouldn't it be something which brought sadness whenever looked upon?

"Being hurt doesn't bother me, it's war, it's the behavior of those two which bothers me." A simple shrug of his shoulders. "Mmmm, I can see that. Your not a fighter." No, he wasn't a fighter, but he also wasn't weak like others were. "We will go but only from here. I won't lie, the youma will get energy this evening. No one will be harmed or killed." Taking energy didn't hurt, you could do it without people even knowing. "Do keep safe, knight Valhalla." Nodding his head he turned slowly and made his way down the alley, cape and coat fluttering about him.

He was not. Going. To bring stuff. To his wonder.

Valhalla nearly closed his eyes to keep his temper from boiling up and over the brim. Why the hell should he have to leave? Why should senshi have to leave all the comforts of their home when it was Chaos that was ******** everything up??

Instead of responding though, he grit his teeth and clenched his fists. It was a General and a youma against him if things turned against him, and now that Benitoite knew he wasn't a fighting type, he didn't want to convince the Nega to test his skills.

Thankfully, it didn't seem as though the General wanted to fight either... At least not tonight. So with a 'tsk', Valhalla watched as they moved away and into the dark. His gut made him want to follow and make sure they kept to their word, but he didn't want to push any more of his luck.

Once they were out of sight, he turned to storm off, grumbling about how people sucked. Maybe he'd be able to find that guy and make sure it was okay...
