She spat at the ground, "Ugh, I hate clones..." She couldn't tell them all apart. He had done an extremely good job healing himself and creating exact replicas. What could she do? I guess I just take a stab at one of them. And she did just that. She ran at one of the clones and stuck him. She went for more hits, but the boy was fast. She had to play it right, "I told you it would take more than that to hide from me boy." It was a shame she had to cancel her combo. Maybe she could use it to wow everyone in the following rounds. Besides, she had to keep their attention through the entire tourney.

 Orikami Otobe (In the future after they arrive, as that's when these are taking place) Orikami watched the battle unfolding below with a degree of interest, the opening exchange of the bout looking as though it had taken quite a toll on the competitor from Mist in this bout. Still, it was clear merely from watching the boy fight he was far less about open confrontation, and far more about evasion and misdirection. Given his preliminary assessment from the previous tests, delivered by the suriving member of Sound's own genin team entered in the proceedings, the all Otobe team 13, he chuckled at his own little joke, the boy was predominately a medical expert... more a support type. He'd drawn a bad lot being put up against the clearly combat based Haku.
Still, this was proving to be an interesting match if indeed the boy managed to turn it around. Katana users were powerful, but if they relied to heavily on their weapons, were vulnerable once disarmed. As a competitor of high dexterity, it would likely be an easy task for the archer...but he would see. If nothing else it was turning out to be an amusing enough diversion to start off the tournament with... He made a note however, that the atmosphere was far too serious and gloomy. If he ever ran exams, he made a point to higher some announcers to spruce up the action. He again gave a little chuckle at his own odd sense of humor.
He was surprised however, when, in what his senses were able to determine as mere lucky strike, the opponent managed to cut down the true opponent within the hail of clones... it seemed that today, fate was merely not on this boy's side...

 Batsu Watanabe Medic/Archer HP - 84| CP - 224|Mhp - 285 D: 36| F: 8| R: 19|W: 16Surprisingly... the girl ends up hitting Batsu square in his chest. How she managed to pick the right one was beyond him but now was not the time to dwell. On anything. After taking the blow to his body, Batsu became livid. He was tired of everything not going his way and losing by such a large margin. The boy looked down at his chest and then back up at the girl. He opened up his mouth and muttered his first word of the entire match. "... b***h..." Batsu ended up having to heal himself again and went straight back to his plan. He called off his previous set of clones set they were of no use to him and made another set. RNG [31] + CHK [8] = 39 D: 36| F: 8| R: 19|W: 16

He was on the defensive and she was hacking away at him She had to keep it up if she was to win, but the damn clones... he just kept making more of them. She cut one down, and it disappeared in a puff of smoke, she turned to another and cut that one down as well. The third she arced it too wide and missed her target. She was beginning t get irritated, "At least I'm not the pansy hiding behind his clones! Too afraid fight me one-on-one? Or do your buddies do that for you?" She gripped her katana harder, putting her anger into something useful. She had yet to use her jutsu, but this fight was far from over on her end.

All of the girl's attacks ended up missing and he had his clones on his side.Things were starting to turn around. He went ahead and revealed himself by using a replacement jutsu as he appeared behind her. He took two of his barbed arrows and shot them out of his bow behind the girl. But before the girl had a chance to react, Batsu was gone. The boy went right into hiding and his clones doing the same with him. First the clones, then the replacement technique. All the basics. Did he know anything else? She supposed that didn't really matter. All that mattered was winning, right? And he was just trying to survive. He had the benefit of being able to heal himself, but hopefully she could use her combo before he got the better of her. She tried finding where he went, but he was gone. She touched the arrow and gave it a light tug. Barbed... damn. No use taking them out, or I'll just bleed everywhere. Damn boy... "Chicken s***!" she yelled out around her.

He was given another opening and Batsu would be a fool to not take it. The made hands signs as before pulling off the last one, he came from out of hiding and aimed his hands at the foe. Immediately ligtning chakra came from his hands and come towards the girl at amazing speed. But now that he was out in the open, his clones reappeared and came around him. Now he was back in the mix.
