And what could he really say to that? It was true and probably always would be, and he'd pretty much come to terms with it. "Ya I know. I already told him I'd give him all the time he needs. I don't plan on backing out on that." Things had been shaky there a couple of times, but Alex was pretty bound and determined that someday this was all going to work, and that it was all going to be worth the wait.
"Listen, I'm just on my way to work. You're welcome to walk with me and continue chatting if you want. My job is at the maul, but if you want to find Yin and show him your dress I'm pretty sure he'd be at the gym right now." He'd begun moving along again, knowing full well that if he didn't keep moving he was going to be late. It was a miracle he hadn't been late for a single shift yet!
"And again, thanks for the advice, and for..saying what you said. I appreciate it. It made me feel a lot better."

Work? Oh right, most people actually had jobs. Spoiled, rich demoness behavior strikes again.
Danny weighed her options. She could go to the maul and see Alex's neat job, and then maybe or shopping, or she could show Yin her pretty dress like she had originally intended.
As Alex moved passed her, she waved, clearly intent on heading towards the gym. At the last minute, she turned around and said, "Wait ... what advice?" Had she given him advice at one point?
It was too late though. Alex was too far away to hear her. Well oh well. She'd figure it out later. For now, she had a dress to show off!
