[Berath: Defending against Kesisk]
She couldn't beat them.
She was already weary from previous battles, and the whip had cut through her first eyelid, and ichor flowed down her face. The gold went for her again, and she jerked her foot back so that its teeth only grazed her. The whip however cracked across her face just beneath her eye despite her attempt to jerk her head away. She still couldn't reach her bondmate, and for all she knew he could slip away at any moment.
not let you go in to finish him off!> she cried, desparing, defiant, standing her ground. Was there any way to appeal to this human's better nature? Did she know mercy, compassion?

Hey! That would have been a really good bite, if the dragon hadn't moved her foot! Beyond annoyed, the little gold leapt up after it, jaws snapping. She would get a good piece of this one, sooner or later!

Kesin, Attacking Berath
"You know, if you hadn't told us, we wouldn't have known he was in there," Kesin took a moment to point out. "But now that we do..." One less healer to help patch the Resistance's wounds would be a good thing. If he was already nearly dead, then it would be an easy thing to finish him off.
But first, they needed the dragon out of their way, and to that end, she snapped the whip yet again, hoping to do real damage this time.

The green's eyes blazed yellow and white with fear, and she hurriedly stumbled back from the human and wher until her huge bulk was blocking the door that led from the dragon's section of the infirmary to the human. Hunkering down in front of it she turned to face the revolutionaries again. please!>

Move! Kesisk demanded of the green dragon, stomping her feet. That was not where the big was supposed to be, because that was where Kesin wanted to go now! Irate, she charged at the much larger beast.

"Too late now," Kesin replied. "Our minds are already made up." Of course, if the green passed out or died in front of the door, that would be a bit problematic, as they would then be unable to enter that way. Still, it would be one less dragon in the fight. Grimacing, she drew back her whip and cracked it.

Another crack of the whip against her face which she tried to guard herself from, but with only partial success. As she struggled to make sure her body fully covered the door however she suddenly became aware of something.
Awake.
Alive.
She had to make sure the handler didn't get in there, even if all she could do was block up the door with her body! never touch him!> Berath panted, red creeping back into her eyes again.

Kesisk issued a low growl, annoyed that the dragon continued to block the door. If she were a wher, she would have made her move! But, unfortunately, that was not possible. All she could do was continue to try to attack, even as the green struggled.

"We'll find another way in if we have to," Kesin promised coldly. She wasn't entirely certain if there was another entrance, or how to get there, but if there was...
Well, she'd worry about that once they were finished with the dragon, She drew back, preparing a final strike, and lashed the whip one more time.

The whip fell, and the dragon screamed.
With ichor streaming from her wounds her head thumped into the ground and her eyes closed.
Her right one did in any case.
The lid of the left was a gory mess, and the state of the eye underneath was unclear.
