Opth: Defending against Mazamath
Opth rolled in the air, blocking his claws from hitting anything vital. His attacks were strong and direct but she didn't want this fight to end too quickly. She wanted to savor it. ~Poor baby. I guess the world isn't all sunshine and happiness after all is it? ~

Bade: Attacking Adi
Her fist connected with the girls forearm, bruising her knuckles on the bone. "Come on girl! Your dragon is up there fighting for his life! Won't you fight for yours?" She shook the fist out, clenching her hand a couple times to check for broken joints. She gave a grimace of distaste, punching had never been at the top of her favorite things list. She stepped back and swung her leg around in a wide arc. Her legs were much stronger.

It never was, but it is a pity you had to add to the strife. All this fighting, all these lives lost, and for what? It made him sad. Surely there could have been a better way! But it was too late now.

The girl sobbed again, stumbling back to try and get out of reach, but she wasn't fast enough, and the kick still hit her hard. "Why are you doing this?" she demanded, distraught. "This isn't right!"

"Why?" She spat at the ground, blood still trickling from her cut lip. "What's not right is capable riders being held back by their lifemates, the very being we love the most! Being judged just by the color of their hides. You as a bluerider should understand that! You and I, we'll always be beneath someone, even if they're less competent than us. You could be a tactical genius and yet some lazy, egotistical bronzerider will end up leading your wing, your Weyr! Will he listen to your input? Unlikely. And why do you think that is? Because you're a blue rider and obviously beneath him. THAT'S what's Not Right!" She paused in her attacks. If the girl would listen to reason... maybe their fight need not continue. Opth would be disappointed but another ally...the Revolution could use all the riders it could get.
There would always be someone else to fight after all.

Mazamath snarled at the crimson's logic, clearly disapproving. I do not want to see the world the way you do! I will not! As the other finally let her be, Adi took several steps back, regarding her distrustfully through tearful eyes. She sniffed, shaking where she stood. "Not everyone wants that! Maz and I were happy, and you ruined it! There are better ways to get what you want than hurting people! Why can't you see that?"

As Adi stepped back, Bade moved closer, keeping the distance between them short. Her face lit with a zealots passion. "You don't want respect? You don't want people to value what you have to say? We wouldn't have had to hurt people if they'd just listened. Darling this can still be put to an end. Join us, help us convince the rest of the Resistance. Convince them to open their minds, consider new ways rather than sticking to thousand turn old ideals. That's what started this." She reached out, giving the girl one chance. "You can help us end the violence and make this world and Weyr better for everyone."

"It's not that I d-don't want that," Adi said, wiping her eyes and continuing to try and back away. "But I don't want to hurt anyone! It's not right!" And even then, she was clearly not good at it. All she could really do was flail around and hope that she hit something, which was far from an effective strategy.

You are the one who needs to open your eyes, to look to the present and see the terrible things you have done and helped to do! Any justification she made would not be enough for the blue. He was set in his views, and no one, especially not a traitor, would be able to change him.
When she struck at his face a second time, but missed, he swiped at her forepaws.

Bade gave a frustrated sigh. How had this trembling little weakling managed to strike her? "Right or wrong sometimes it's the only way. You can't stop what's already been set into motion so if you're not willing to help our cause then you leave me with no choice!"
She actually managed a twinge of regret as she thrust her heel towards Adi's middle.

That was more like it. Opth thought as she felt her Rider return to battle. Frankly her trying to convince the girl had been distracting. ~ Not everything is won without sacrifice! The losses experienced today may be regrettable in the future but they will serve their purpose! ~
She easily kept her claws out of harms way, thrusting her wings to gain altitude on Mazamath, striking for his unprotected back.
