It was best that Nayal stalked off right after that little speech. Because he didn't mind so much her saying mean things to him. Sure, they hurt his feelings and he didn't like it, but he could live. He did have a slew of older brothers, after all. But when she turned on Kilian and started to pick on him, well, Samril nearly lost it.

In fact, he'd started to step forward to punch this bitchy girl right in the middle of her ugly face when she walked off. He stood, watching her leave as his fists clenched in anger. She had no right to turn on this boy like that!

Samril forced himself to take a few slow, deep breaths to calm himself. He glanced over to Kavanna and gave a brief nod, not quite trusting himself to speak just yet. A few more deep breaths and he turned his gaze to Kilian. "You okay? Don't listen to her. I have a good friend who's an Oblivionite. You don't have to be all rude and mean like that just because of your race."

Kilian couldn't move as Nayal turned to face him. The anger seemed to pour off of her. Frozen to the spot, all he could do was listen to her rant and hope that was all she would do. Her spell was broken when she spat on the ground. He looked down at the show of disrespect and snarled. Something inside him snapped. Raising his head back up he growled low in his throat. He'd be damned if he'd be bullied around. He didn't care if she had connections. "Oh don't worry, I'll be prepared." He made a mental note to meet up with Elleth again and get more training in. He continued to watch the spot where Nayal had disappeared into the forest at, wondering if she'd come back. Her words running through his head. Just a weapon... He hadn't been raised to think that. Wouldn't believe it. He had feelings.

Lost as he was in his thoughts, Kilian had forgotten about the two Dovaa. He jumped as the female started talking. Turning around slowly, he was prepared to fight if he had to, though he'd rather just avoid that mess all together. So he was surprised by the apology that left her lips. At first he didn't know what to say, shocked as he was. The way she had talked before, it was as if she despised all Oblivionites. Could he have been wrong about that? He scratched the back of his head as she introduced herself. Th-that's alright. Kilian was still a bit shocked at Kavanna's turn around. "My name's Kilian. And that..." He gave his head a slight jerk in the direction Nayal had went and continued. "I just ran across her, actually. To be honest, I didn't even have a clue who she was when I first met her. He'd never forget her now, though. It seemed that he now had an enemy to contend with along with the dragons.

Kilian sighed and looked over at the male Dovaa as he spoke. He was surprised by the anger he saw glint into his eyes and then die down. Maybe he wasn't as dim as he had thought him to be. "S'kay." Kilian grunted. "Though I guess I did just make an enemy I'll regret." A smile flitted across his lips but was quickly replaced by a frown. "What are you two doing here anyway? He asked curiously.

Being cooled down enough to realize that this Oblivionite didn't seem as mean, maybe it was just the females that had bitchy attitudes? Who really knew? She still didn't like them much, but maybe this guy wasn't so bad. Of course, there was always going to be that trigger in the back of her mind that said, Don't ever trust an Oblivionite. She had been raised to hate both Oblivionites and Orderites, though she had found Orderites that she really liked, maybe that made even a larger imprint on her hatred of the Oblivionites than she would like to admit.

Nevertheless, she decided to allow herself not to be angry with this one, for he hadn't done anything to wrong her yet. Yet being the key word. She half expected that he would up and jump her for no reason at all, though she also didn't think that he would be stupid enough to try it against her and Samril together.

"I'm actually here because I heard of a special power this lake holds. I wanted to see if the rumors in the Plane were true. Doesn't look too special though, I know the lakes in Serenia have healing properties, can't expect that from a lake of the Oblivionites though." she laughed.

Then she remembered the other Dovaa next to her. "What are you doing here though, Samril? No classes today I presume?" she asked her friend. She considered them friends anyway, even though they were more like acquaintances.

Samril gave a bit of a start as Kilian asked what they were doing there. What was Kavanna doing here? Surely she was too tough to go looking for Ysali dragons...? And then he heard her answer. Magical properties? Huh, he hadn't known about that.

"Huh? Oh, no, no classes," he responded as Kav turned to him. "I was hoping to find a friend and spar... but I took a wrong turn somewhere from our usual meeting place and then I heard voices..." He shrugged. Elleth might not have even been there. He'd look for her later. Now, he was interested in this lake.

"You... you don't think this lake's waters hurt you, do you?"

Kilian looked towards the lake and wondered about it himself. Being an Oblivionite he had heard stories. He wasn't sure which ones he should believe and which ones he should cast aside as tales that were stretched beyond what could possibly be true. Despite the stories truth or not he definitely could feel power seeping from the lake and wondered if the Dovaa felt it too. It felt...powerful, wonderful. The darkness that was inside of him, inside of every Oblivionite, reached out for it like a little kid to it's mom. He shook his head as if to clear water out of his ears. "I've heard tales about the lake. Though who knows if they're really all true. Kilian shrugged and looked back over at the Dovaas.
PostPosted: Tue Jul 17, 2012 3:57 pm

A friend to spar? Had Samril found an Oblivionite friend to spar with? It was rather obvious that he had, but of course, Kavanna hadn't known who it would be. For she knew only of the two b***h Oblivionite and now this boy, who wasn't as bad as she first had thought. She was actually glad she gave him a chance to redeem the Oblivionite's bad nature.

Kav decided to respond to the Dovaa's question. "No, I don't think the water will hurt people, but I guess one can't ever be too sure. The healing properties of the Serenia lakes are tales all in their own, but at least they're truth. This, I've only ever heard that it contains some type of magical properties, I'm guessing only Peisio Dovaa can really tell though. Maybe a Peisio Dragon? But it is on the Oblivionite sands, so I'm sure Oblivionites can feel more of its power than a regular Dovaa could. Who knows?" she shrugged.

She crept closer to the water's edge, hoping to feel some sort of power, but there was none. Maybe she was right in thinking only Peisio Dovaa could truly find the power in the water. "What kinds of things do the Oblivionites say about it?" she asked the boy as she splashed the water away from her, then looking over her hand, unharmed, almost as though scientifically testing it for something.

Peisio Dovaa huh? Perhaps he should ask his brothers. Though, that would probably just be inviting all sorts of outrageous tales and something from his father on how the Peisio clan is the best. His family was predictable. Sadly, very predictable. On second thought, he wouldn't ask them.

Curious, he turned to Kilian to see what the Oblivionite said. Surely their rumors might hold more truth than those that were heard in the Celestial Plane?

Kilian frowned and fidgeted a bit under the scrutiny of the two Dovaas. He'd heard a few tails from the older Oblivionites. Though he'd have to admit that they didn't seem to be all there in the head. He grimaced as he remembered the last tale he had heard. It was obviously not true, though. Kavanna had proven just that. "Well, there was one story I heard. Someone old, and not all there, was mumbling about it on the streets not too long ago." He shuddered a bit before continuing. It really wasn't a story he liked thinking about. "He told of how he and his brother journeyed to the Koralifel looking for more power." Kilian turned his head back to the lake. "His brother fell in when they were crouching near the edge. The old Oblivionite said that smoke started to waft up into the air and his brother started screaming." Shaking his head, Kilian took another deep breath. "Apparently, the lake was dissolving his body or something. By the time the old one got to this part of his story he had started to mumble incoherently. Obviously his tail is not true." He gestured toward Kavanna's hand that was unharmed after having touched the water.

"Hmmm..." Kavanna stated before standing up and taking a deeper look into the lake. She looked at the darkness, the murky, blackness of the water in comparison to the lakes she had seen on Serenia. She stroked her chin a bit before continuing.

"Well, maybe his tale isn't as false as you think it is. I touched the first layer...you said his brother had fallen in. Maybe there's something deeper down below that we can only get to if we jump in. I'm not testing it out. But maybe he wasn't making it up like most others probably thought. It could be that the tale is true if you go down deep enough. Think of it like this: Oil floats on top of water, right? The two don't mix. Well, maybe there's another layer of something underneath this murky top. You just have to go deep enough to find it." she said, looking over at the two boys.

Were either of them going to brave the encounter with the mysterious lake. She knew she couldn't feel anything strange, but who knew if the Oblivionite could. She could only tell what he told her. "I know that for me, personally, this water doesn't make me feel any different. I don't feel any strange power radiating from it like I've heard happens. What about you Samril? And you?" she asked the other two, still unaware of this boys name, but didn't care enough to ask it. She just wanted to figure out if maybe the powers of Koralifel was a myth, especially the myth of the Oblivionites.

Samril's jaw had dropped open at Kilian's tale. The water really did hurt you? Then why was Kavanna playing in it?! Well, at least she was a healer, but still!

He blinked in surprise as she addressed him. "Hmm? Uh..." He hadn't actually be paying that much attention. He took a moment then shook his head. "Nope. It's just water." He gave another shrug. "I'm not a Peisio Dovaa, though." He added as a reminder. He was not of that clan, nope nope nope!

"The name's Kilian..." He muttered as he looked out over the lake. "I feel...something. It's like something inside me is reaching out to the lake." Kilian shuddered. It was a strange feeling he was having and he wasn't so sure he liked it. It was almost like something was trying to get free. Biting down on his lower lip he contemplated whether or not he should go into the lake and test it out. He really was curious about it, despite how he felt about the force pulling inside of him. Cautiously, he dipped his foot into the water. A jolt shot through his foot and up his leg but it wasn't painful. More like a tickle. He wondered if it'd be safe to go in farther.

"Hmmm...I wonder what it could be than. Maybe it's only something Oblivionites can feel?" Kav began, watching as Kilian dipped his foot into the lake. When he quickly drew it back, Kav became quite curious. "W-what happened!?" she exclaimed. Maybe it could have been because the water was cold, or maybe it was something else? Kav couldn't keep her mind from wandering. She wasn't entirely sure what to think anymore.

"Go in deeper." she pressured, flicking her head towards the lake with a quick glance at it before looking back at Kilian.

Samril turned his attention to Kilian, then looked past the Oblivionite to the lake. Something reaching out to the lake? Weird. Samril stood back and watched as the boy stepped into the water. He hoped the boy hadn't been hurt!

Samril turned golden eyes to Kavanna for a moment. Go deeper? Into the deadly water? What was she trying to do to this boy?
PostPosted: Thu Jul 26, 2012 10:45 am

Kilian stared at Kavanna as she told him to go deeper. Was the Dovaa crazy? Of course she wasn't worried. He was just an Oblivionite after all. And she'd made her feelings pretty clear about most of them earlier with Nayal. Taking a deep breath he turned his head back out to the water. He could feel the power coming off the lake and wondered if the old man's tails were true. So far, he seemed fine.

Taking a deep breath Kilian took step forward. Then another and another until he was waist deep in the water. Kilian stood there for a while, wondering if anything was going to happen. Just as he was about to rule the old man's tails false, he sucked in his breath and he felt a tingling start in his feet and work it's way up to waist. It was soothing, at first and then spots of pain began to blossom on his legs. Sucking in a breath he quickly moved backwards, retreating from the water until he stumbled and ended up on his butt just out of the water. While he hadn't been burned or his skin hadn't been melted away he had felt the sting on his legs. Little red bumps began to form on the spots where he had felt the pain. Though they just looked like a rash of some sort.

Kavanna raised a brow. So this water was hurting the boy. That was most definitely an interesting fact. She went to his side and bent over to look at the newly acquired 'rash'. "Here, I'll heal that right up." she said, her hands glowing green for a moment before she placed them on the burned areas.

"So, obviously the lake has some sort of magical power that causes pain, if one were to sit in it too long it could even cause mutation or death. It seems that a quick dip in has given Kilian here a rash or sorts. Plus, it draws Oblivionite's in? It's probably best that you don't do that again, but now I have the information I came here to find." she stated, standing back up and looking out over the lake's murky water.

Kav took a deep breath in. Maybe it would be best if she just left to report it to her journal. Doing research on her own outside of the academy's schedule was always fun for her. Though, it was a bit nerve wracking when she was out doing things that had the possibility of putting her in danger. Not like anyone would care, really, it just scared her personally.

Maybe she would report this to Marcus at some point? Who really knew? He probably already knew the power of Koralifel. She was just immature and not very knowledgeable. "Well, maybe we should go...I don't want anything else to happen while we're out here. You guys can stay if you want, but I think it's best if we get going. Maybe I'll see you guys again someday? It's always nice seeing you, Samril. Take care." Kav said, walking backwards away from the lake as she was saying her goodbyes. When she finally found her way into the forest, she turned and began to make her way back to the boat to the Celestial Plane.
