Aria dragged her single bag down the hall, looking for the dorms. It had already been a long morning, after fighting over leaving with her father, she almost had her way again too, had her sister Caprice not stepped in. About three hours later, she found herself packed and shipped out of her underwater home to this place. With a disdainful sniff- how the air smelled so dry- she trudged down the hall, reading the room plates as she went. It appeared she was in the arts wing of the school, since she just passed an art room. The next plate read Music Room . the mermaid leaned forward on her toes, pressing her scaly ear to the door. Although she could phase between legs and a tail, she kept quite a few of her mermaid features on land, scales and fins for example. They'd just shrunk a little bit in response to the dry atmosphere of the place. The room was completely silent, as she expected for a soundproof room. Hoping it was also completely empty, she pushed the door open and found it was, elegant instruments of wood and metal and everything in between lining the walls. With a satisfied grin, she placed her luggage next to a particularly expensive looking violin and began to sing, first the simple scales she'd known since she was young, then moving on to her favorite song. Once that was done, she checked over her shoulder one more time to make sure no one was around. It would be such a shame for someone to accidentally hear her practice her deadliest technique....wouldn't it?
