Reluctantly hopping off the railing, although she certainly didn't mind following Gunji, Asten looked around her room curiously. It was nice, she liked it. Plenty of room for her to wander. She hated small rooms now, they made her feel like she was in another cage. Funny, she'd used to like small rooms to big ones - they'd made her feel secure, safe. Now they just made her feel trapped. And it was sort of nice Gunji was hinting so obviously that he wanted her to sleep with him. That made her feel wanted too. Besides...the room was nice, but she liked being near people after so long in seclusion. Well, a few people. Not like the shopping district, that was too many. But Gunji and his strays and staff...that was just right for the shifter at the moment. When he mentioned a music room, she brightened and absently wondered if there were any concert halls in the area. Maybe he'd take her, if she asked nicely. Although she couldn't really see him sitting through one...maybe he'd just drop her off or something? She missed seeing live orchestras and the like.

Asten listened to him on the phone and blinked in surprise when he ruffled her hair. He was sliding on those vicious-looking claws and heading out of the room before she could really reply. She giggled, listening to him sing pretty horribly, and stood there for a few minutes, just looking around. Deciding she wanted to prowl, the young woman did just that. It took her almost an hour, but she explored every inch of the house, followed every once in a while by a maid or butler or cat who were curious as to what on earth she was doing. She wasn't even looking for anything in particular - she just liked to know her surroundings. Her nest, her home now. The music room almost made her hop up and down like a little girl, to be honest. But what she really, really wanted was the pool. Finally giving up and just asking where it was, Asten followed a maid's easy walk impatiently and practically pushed her over in excitement when she saw the large swimming pool just sitting there, waiting for her to jump in.

Hugging the maid impulsively, Asten stripped off her clothes with practiced ease as she sprinted towards the water. She jumped in as a girl and dove in as a swan, coming up as a very happy bird. Hearing the maid squeak in surprise, the swan tilted it's head and ignored her. Water, water, everywhere, and all of it was hers. Trumpeting in satisfaction as only her breed could do, the bird dove in and played in the water the rest of the time Gunji was gone, preening and diving and stretching her wings out. It was the happiest she'd been in years and she could have stayed in all night if she hadn't heard him hollering.

Swimming out, she snagged a robe the maid had left for her with her beak and raced inside. She was hardly as graceful on land as she was in the water, but a swan could still move fast. Meeting him near the front door, Asten flapped her wings at him before shifting back and pulling the robe on in one swift motion. Dripping wet, she closed the distance and hugged him - he seemed to like when she did, or like any affection at all. "I missed you," she admitted, surprised she had at all. Belatedly realizing he was covered in blood - and now she was - Asten pulled back and looked at him in distress. "Where'd all the blood come from? Are you okay?" she asked, looking down at herself before back at him with big, worried golden eyes.

[[No, it's totally fine! Gives me chances to do her stuff in between, so I don't feel rushed in the least.]]

Gunji looked down, confused at first when he saw the swan before remembering who exactly it was. He watched in amazement as Asten changed back into her human form nuzzling her back and nuzzling her neck when she said she missed him. "I missed you too," Gunji purred before he she pulled away in surprise. The worry in her eyes was very surprising to Gunji and he was glad she held concern for him but smiled. "I'm completely fine! Don't worry, the blood isn't mine," Gunji said as he held up his claw, which were covered in blood as well. He hadn't considered that coming home covered in blood might be shocking to Asten but it had shocked his workers every time they were new here and saw all the blood.

Just then one of the maids who seemed to mother Gunji came in and sighed. "Gunji... You're getting the floors all dirty... And Asten too! I told you that you need to go around the back and hose off before you come inside after working didn't I?" the maid said, scolding Gunji. The blond growled and muttered something under his breath before he took the blades off and clipped them to his belt. He would clean them later. For now he took Asten's hand and smiled at her "We're all messy now. Do you want to take a shower or bath? You just went swimming right?" Gunji said. The pool had chlorine in it and Gunji didn't like the smell sticking to him after he swam so he guessed that Asten might not either. Gunji needed to get all the blood out of his hair before it dried. It was always so difficult to get try blood out of his hair and scrubbing it off is skin could be annoying too. Gunji was sure the staff hated to get the red out of all of Gunji's clothes although his red hoodies made things so much easier.

"I'm going to shower quickly and then we can meet once we're done and do something like watch a movie. It's not too late yet," Gunji said with a wide grin even though he was always loud during movies. He began to walk up the stairs, turning to see if he was being followed and wondering if Asten would be going to get cleaned up. Not that Gunji expected her to do that with him. Gunji was pretty mad with common curtsy and giving people privacy but he knew that people deserved enough privacy that they should be allowed to shower and get dressed on their own away from the eyes of other. Gunji could really care less if someone saw him naked but he was sure Asten might think differently.

Now seriously wondering what the hell he did if this was normal, coming home covered in blood, Asten flinched as the maid appeared and chastised her like a little girl. Just wait until she wandered around in swan form more - they'd really get pissed off about the feathers. Not that she planned on being inside too often, with all the cats. The last thing she wanted to do was beat up some poor kitty cats because they thought she would be fun to chew on. Noticing the chlorine smell when he asked if she went swimming, Asten blinked and nodded. She wasn't used to being in pools, as she'd lived near a pond, so she hadn't thought about the cleaning stuff. Hopefully it didn't hurt her feathers. Maybe the fountains in front wouldn't have them...

Well, at least she didn't have blood on her feathers, just the robe and her hands. Skin was so much easier to clean than her feathers, much less fragile when it came to scrubbing. Wiping some of the blood off her hands, figuring the robe was already covered in it anyway, Asten smiled. "A movie sounds fun," she agreed. It was funny, her animal counterpart wasn't exactly nocturnal, but she'd always enjoyed staying up late and sleeping during the day if she could. Everything was quieter, she could relax more. As Gunji headed up the stairs, she darted past him, eager to get the blood off before it stained. Scrubbing was easy, sure, but it hurt her skin after a while.

The bathroom wasn't massive, but it was big and she felt a little overwhelmed with how nice it was. The shower and tub were actually separate and she debated for a moment as she put the robe in a hamper before stepping into the shower to get the chlorine and blood off her skin. The tub looked big enough, maybe she'd shift and get in some time just for fun. Too bad they couldn't put little fishes in there. Hm. Glad there was already soap and shampoo and everything else she'd need, as she'd thought, Asten washed off and sighed happily. Slave or not, it was wonderful to be able to be clean and smell nice for once. Letting herself sing in the shower - something else she hadn't done in years - the young woman kept up the stupid little song she'd remembered as she dried off and wandered into her room. Earlier, she was ashamed to admit, she'd stolen one of Gunji's shirts to sleep in. Not that he hadn't bought her pajamas, but she'd always liked oversized shirts instead of nightgowns or pants. And it made her feel like she belonged there, having something of his. Hoping he wouldn't mind, Asten pulled it on after finding some underwear, making a mental note to go through the drawers to find out what had been put where. Perfectly fine if she ran around naked, but not sure if Gunji would mind that or not, she decided what she had on would be fine and padded off to his room to wait for him to get out of the shower, settling herself on his bed.

Gunji smiled as she ran up stairs ahead of him and headed up quickly as well so that he could get showed and changed. It took so much effort to get to blood out of his hair. Gunji shampooed his hair many times and once it was nice and clean, he worked on scrubbing blood off the rest of his body. He checked himself over for any injuries, smiling when he found nothing but his tattoos. Once he was all done and cleaned up, Gunji made sure his clothes were inside the hamper to avoid a scolding and grabbed a towel to start drying his hair. When he walked out of the washroom to grab his a clothes, Gunji smiled at Asten and waved before he glanced down and realized he wasn't exactly wearing anything. With a flustered yelp, Gunji covered himself with his towel and smiled at Asten. He usually didn't care if he was seen naked but Asten ahd simply surprised him.

Wrapping the towel around his waist, Gunji smiled and went to his closet to pull a pair of bowers and pyjama bottoms on. Coming back out drying his hair again, Gunji smiled to see Asten in one of his shirts. "You look cute," Gunji said with a grin as he went to grab the hair dryer and brush on the table and completely dry his hair. Gunji didn't like damp hair too much. Once it was all dried he tied it up an pinned his hair out of his face with red bobby pins. "You know what we should do before the movie?" Gunji suddenly asked as he ran to the bathroom and came back out with his red glasses and a kit in his hands. He flopped down onto the bed and opened the kit up, exposing many different colours of nail polish.

"We can paint our nails now and by the time the movie is over they'll be dry and we'll be ready to go to sleep if we want to," Gunji said with a wide grin. With Gunji's tall, muscular figure, you would think he was many especially with his job but in reality, Gunji really wasn't that "manly" at all. As he picked up the half used black bottle, Gunji looked through the colours and then looked at Asten. "What colour do you like?" Gunji asked as he swung his feet back and forth like some excited little girl. The blond pushed his red glasses up his nose, beaming up at Asten happily.

He made sure to set up the plastic sheet on the bed so that they wouldn't end up making a mess and took out the nail polish remover and bottom balls for if they made any mistakes. Gunji never really made mistakes when he painted his nails though. The only time he needed nail polish remover was when he was taking off old nail polish or changing his mind on what colour he wanted on his nails. Usually it was red, dark purple, navy, or black. Every now and then he would throw on a bright pink when he got bored but weirded even himself out when he went that far.

Laughing a little at his yelp, Asten drew her knees to her chest and wrapped her arms around her legs as she waited for him. Watching him dry off his hair when he returned, dressed, she looked at him curiously when he suddenly ran back into the bathroom. Covering her mouth to hide a grin at the glasses, the shifter tilted her head in that birdlike gesture again when he flopped down next to her. Blinking in surprise, the last thing she'd expected was nail polish. Looking between the kit and him a few times, she came to a conclusion. Between the shopping and this, he had to be gay. Not that she minded, although she felt a little silly for not realizing it sooner. Normally that was something she was good at picking up on, especially after so many years of trying to judge how a master would be once they had her.

Oh well. Braiding her hair loosely over her shoulder so it was out of the way, Asten looked back down at the nail polish colors. He was so happy, it seemed. It made her feel a bit better, knowing that just her sitting around doing nothing seemed to make him happy. Although, she actually had no idea how he was normally, so maybe he was always like this? Well, as long as she didn't make him annoyed or mad, she guessed it really didn't matter. "I haven't done my nails in a long time," she remarked, poking through the bottles curiously. They were shiny, too, that caught her attention more than the colors.

Picking up a bottle with a golden color, she looked back over to Gunji. "This is pretty. It's shiny," she added absently, shifting so she'd crossed her legs Indian-style instead of twisting them under her so they wouldn't go completely numb. "It sort of seemed normal for you to come home with blood all over, does that happen a lot?" Asten asked, not sure she'd like seeing Gunji all bloody every night. The first thing she'd think was that he was hurt.

Gunji smiled at her. "That's fine. I can do them for you," Gunji said with a smile. The blond picked out the bottle of clear top coat and placed it on the plastic sheet beside his black nail polish. As Asten pointed out the colour that she liked Gunji plucked it out of the kit then set the kit aside so that they could get started. Just then, Asten asked about when he came home and Gunji laughed then grinned at her. He propped his elbows on the bed so he could place his chin in his palms.

"It's normal. I usually make a mess when I'm working. I get hired by different people to carry out their dirty jobs, getting rid of people. I get payed quite a bit and in the jobs, the people I need to get rid of are always those people who would have caused a lot of trouble anyways. Like killers," Gunji said as though he wasn't a killer. "You don't need to worry about anything though. What happens at work stays at work. If you're scared I'll hurt you, I promise I won't," Gunji said with a smile before he opened up the golden nail polish to paint Asten's nails first.

Taking Asten's hand, Gunji carefully did one coat at a time on each finger. Luckily the nail polish he had was quick drying and he was able to apply two coats before he picked up a red bottle from his kit and carefully painted a red flower on each of Asten's fingers. Once they were all done and dried, Gunji applied the topcoat and lifted Asten's hand to look at her fingers. With a satisfied smile, he searched for any mistakes such as smudges or fingerprints to find absolutely none. With a smile, he began to paint his own nails black. "I know you didn't ask for the flowers but I hope you still like it," Gunji said as he looked up at her and smiled Gunji finished off two layers and the top coat quickly then smiled at Asten once he packed everything away. "There... We can go watch a movie now while they dry completely. Try not to poke at your nail in case marks can still be left," Gunji said as he sat up and looked at his black nails. What he had said definitely didn't match his deep voice.

Asten was quiet as she listened to his explanation of what he did. It didn't bother really in the least, truth be told. For one thing, it wasn't like she'd have a say in what he did to start with. And for another, if he did just get rid of people who needed getting rid of - good. It was a good thing, in her opinion. She'd still worry whenever she saw blood, not being a big fan of it anyway, but at least now she knew where it came from. Surprised he said he wouldn't hurt her - more by the fact he thought he should, since she hadn't thought he would hurt her - Asten cocked her head for a moment before shaking it. "I didn't think you'd hurt me. I'm not scared of you," she said quietly.

How could she think that? He was dangerous, obviously, if he went around killing people for money. But he'd taken her from the cages, had such a good time going shopping and dressing her up, and now he was sitting here doing her nails. Watching curiously as he did her nails, she smiled when he added the little flower. It was cute, she liked it. "I like them, they're pretty," she told him honestly, resting her hands on her knees as he did his own. She could shift into a swan, by the time she felt like shifting back they'd dry, but that would mean either trying to strip, which would smudge the nails anyway, or get tangled up in clothes. Shrugging to herself, Asten settled back down. It was odd - she'd done nothing but sit around for years. Now that she had some freedom, she'd thought she would want to be up and moving, even if it was running around in circles in the house. But instead, she was content to sit here and let her nails dry.

"I won't poke, I'll be good," Asten promised with a laugh, shaking her head. It may have been a long time, but she still remembered to let them dry, after all. Twisting her legs out from underneath her, the young woman was careful not to kick anything off the bed as she scooted to the side. "What movie did you want to watch? I don't care, I can watch anything," she told him, before he could ask. Asten really didn't have much of an opinion, she just wanted some quiet time, especially as it was her first night here. She'd gotten to bath and change and relax and shift - all she had to do was fly, but she was a bit worried someone might shoot her if she flew around the city. That had happened once, when she was younger, and it had hurt like a b***h to shift back and force the bullet out.

Gunji smiled, happy to see that Asten liked her nails even though Gunji had added the flowers without her permission. He'd gotten a little carried away. He was glad she wasn't scared of Gunji either since a lot of people who just met him were usually scared of him. Since they were all done with their nails, Gunji hopped off the bed and put everything away/ he took Asten's hand without ruin their nails then headed downstair to the home theatre in the basement. "Let's watch a horror movie," Gunji said with a wide grin. "Unless you don't like those but I always find those very funny," he said in a slightly sadistic tone. Gunji didn't mean to be sadistic but her seriously found it funny now everyone was always killed so easily. He loved when the one person who was a b***h to everyone got killed. It cracked him up.

When they got down to the home theatre, Gunji went to turn everything on, asking a butler to get them some popcorn on the way down. Gunji pulled his favourite horror films along with the ones he hadn't watched out along with some stuff that were more for the light hearted. Gunji could watch anything as well along as it wasn't downright boring. He was never someone you'd want to watch movies with because he laughed really loud at the smallest things, never understood any sarcasm, cried when there were sad parts, and screamed really loud if something managed to scare him when it popped up out of no where. Gunji was simply not good with movies. Especially if it was a horror movie. He could turn the whole thing into a complete joke and comedy or make it a lot scarier than necessary. If he ever saw a movie with a friend (yes he actually had one or two) and they slept over, Gunji would make the night a living hell for them just to crack himself up. He wouldn't do that to Asten though.

Gunji gathered up some movies into his arms then plopped them down on the couch for Asten to look through. "Pick which one or ones you want to use," Gunji said as he thanked the butler who brought down a big bowl of buttery popcorn. Gunji placed it on the table in front of the couch and grabbed a handful for himself and ate the whole handful of it at once. "What is your favourite kind of movie?" Gunji asked as he licked his fingers and crossed his legs as he sat on the couch, patting the spot beside him for Asten.

Following Gunji down the basement, Asten looked around some more, even though she'd already explored the entire place earlier. It was habit. It would take a while for her to get used to the staff being around, but at least they weren't always sneaking up behind you. Maybe that was a bad thing to do with Gunji? Making a mental note not to sneak up on Gunji just in case, Asten wondered how he could find horror movies funny. It was amusing, she guessed, when the stupid people got killed, but other than that she was too busy covering her eyes to pay much attention.

Just because she could watch anything didn't mean she liked to. Asten was never very good with horror movies. She wasn't a screamer, but she did usually end up with a cushion in front of her eyes or hiding behind someone if she could manage it. Sometimes her overactive imagination got the better of her - sometimes meaning all the time when it came to horror movies, no matter how stupid they actually were. Slasher flicks were the worst, as she couldn't stand the blood and gore. Watching one with a friend when she was younger, Asten had actually used the popcorn bucket as a barf bowl, to her eternal embarrassment. Gunji seemed like the type to laugh hysterically throughout. That might make it easier?

Heading over to the couch, Asten settled herself next to Gunji and flipped through the movies. They were mostly horror, some not opened yet, and a few comedies as well. She was tempted to ask to watch a comedy instead, but he'd suggested a horror movie, so she assumed that was what he felt like watching. Picking a few she hadn't seen before, she handed them over to him and set the others down on the table. "I haven't seen any of those, so you pick what you want," she said, looking around and grabbing one of the cushions at the end in anticipation. Hugging it to her stomach, she curled up, having no idea how to work any of the electronic equipment. It had changed so much since she'd been captured, she felt like if she tried to work it, it would explode. "I'll have to ask someone to show me sometime," she decided.

Gunji looked at the movies Asten had picked out, staring at the horror movies before he picked out the one that simply had a ghost haunting a house. It wasn't exactly a horror movie and somewhere it said something about romance. Maybe it was some mystery movie. Gunji didn't know. He's just glanced at the cover, glanced at the back and decided it was good enough . "We can just watch this," he said with a smile, putting the other movies away. He put the disc into the DVD player and picked up the remote, sighing when the movie preview came up first.

He tried to skip them, hating how the machine wouldn't let him so he just fast forwarded though the movie preview until he got to the movie menu and hit play. "There," Gunji said with a smile before he wrapped an arm around Asten's waist and pulled her close to him. He leaned his cheek on the top of his head as the movie started with some myth about a girl who's been left alone in a house by her soon-to-be husband and died of heartbreak when she found out she had run off with another man. It was quite cheesy but Gunji didn't mind. He just watched quietly, wondering if someone could actually die because they were that upset over something. It didn't seem realistic but Gunji just left it at that.

He munched on popcorn though the movie as it went on with the family that moved in, thinking that the house was perfectly normal. Didn't most horror or mystery movies start out like that? The family had an eldest son then the bratty teenage daughter who absolutely hated the house. There parents were perfectly normal and didn't believe the daughter when she said that the picture of the woman in the library kept moving and changing poses. When she finally cracked and went to find her brother to tell him about the picture, the girl went missing and Gunji laughed. She was a brat anyways. Gunji hugged Asten close as he movie went on, nuzzling her every once and then. He was enjoying the movie mainly because he had Asten to cuddle with. Gunji couldn't stand mystery movies sometimes. They aways dragged on way too long and Gunji didn't understand them in the end.

Relieved he hadn't picked one of the straight-out horror movies, Asten worked some on the popcorn while he messed with the DVD and the tv alike. Almost dropping her handful when he suddenly pulled her over, she quickly settled down again. It was weird, having physical contact after so long, but she didn't mind it. After a few minutes she let herself relax a little against him, trying not to be so stiff and nervous. Focusing on the movie and the popcorn helped and eventually she didn't even think about how she was cuddled up to Gunji. She was surprised he'd picked something like this, but definitely didn't mind in the least. The last thing she wanted to do was make a bad impression by whimpering and hiding behind the couch her first night here. Although, he might just laugh and think it was funny.

Abandoning the popcorn to cuddle, Asten watched the movie and wondered how the hell people were so oblivious to the weird crap going on. She always tended to get absorbed in movies and books, no matter what kind they were, which was partly the reason she'd get so terrified during horror ones. But these people were so stupid she wasn't as anxious as she might have been. The suspense kept making her worry something scary was going to happen, although the mystery bit kept her intrigued enough to actually pay attention. When the daughter disappeared, she heard Gunji laughed and cracked a grin. "Do you think she's dead? I hope so, she was getting annoying," Asten remarked, her legs tucked up under her.

Feeling something paw at her knee, Asten looked down to see the white kitten from earlier staring up at her with big green eyes. To the shifter, it was obvious the animal, however young, recognized her as a bird and something to play with. And perhaps chew on. Reaching down, she picked it up and set it on her lap, poking its nose when it tried to chew on her arm. "I'm not a chew toy, cut that out," she ordered, absently rubbing behind the kitten's ears. She'd missed having pets or other animals around. Giving up on eating the giant bird, the kitten decided to purr instead, kneading Asten's stomach as it got scratched.

Gunji laughed at Asten's remark and nodded. "Me too. I don't like her at all," Gunji said with a smirk as nuzzled Asten and looked back at the television. When blood was found by the brother, Gunji giggled like a child. He really did hope the sister was gone. If Gunji had a sister like that, Gunji probably would have been the one to get rid of her, not a ghost. It was a good thing Gunji didn't have any portraits of random people around his house. The pictures he had around the house were all nature or something. They usually didn't hang on the walls very long because Gunji always managed to ruin them and the ad to be replaced.

Hearing Asten say she wasn't a chew toy, Gunji blinked. Had he been chewing her? He didn't think so. As he looked over at her to see what she was talking about, Gunji smiled when he saw a kitten chewing at her arm. It was purring soon and Gunji reached over to pet the cat as well. "Cute little kitty... Almost as cute as Asten,' Gunji cooed before he leaned his head on Asten's shoulder and watched the kitten. His eyes were drawn back to the television by something crashing in the movie and Gunji watched as the ghost made it's entrance. It was a beautiful blond woman of course and the brother had found her. The two stared at each other for a while and Gunji waited for something to happen. When they brother took a step towards the woman, she disappeared and began to speak. Gunji didn't pay much attention. He just looked back to the kitty and pet it as he watched it purr. Eventually, Gunji just flopped down on the couch and placed his head on Asten's lap by the kitten. He wanted some attention too...

Gunji completely ignored the television and closed his eyes with a soft yawn, nuzzling Asten's leg and feeling the kitten against his head. Gunji was tired... The movie was boring him to death. He should have picked a funnier or scarier movie because this one was just boring.

Petting the kitten for a bit, Asten watched the movie, but lost interest as soon as the ghost showed up. Of course was some tall, beautiful blond. What was wrong with short brunettes? A bit irked, she glanced down when Gunji put his head on her lap and couldn't resist a grin when the kitten started kneading his head too. "If you're bored, you can put in another movie you like better. This isn't as interesting as I thought it would be," Asten told him, gesturing to the DVD cases he'd set on the table from earlier. Even a horror movie would be more fun. At least terror wasn't boring. It was nice how he was using her as a cushion, funnily enough. She'd never minded being the pillow for her friends or boyfriends before. They always said she was too comfortable to not sleep on.

Hopefully she wouldn't see any of them again. The last thing she wanted was reminders of her old life. They probably thought she'd run off and been flighty, a typical 'music type', which bothered her. Not that there was anything to be done. And now she had a new life, at least. Asten began to pet Gunji too, running her hands through his hair and groaning as the mystery movie degenerated into a craptastic romance. Ugh. Where was the blood? Did everyone forget about the missing girl? "What the heck is wrong with these people?" she asked indignantly, then looked down at Gunji again. "Can we watch something else? I might throw something at the tv if this keeps up. What happened to the blood? I mean, did everyone just forget they've got a missing girl? And who dies of a broken heart?" she added in disgust. Gah, she couldn't stand romances.

Even when she was in a happy relationship, romances annoyed her. So this was just grating on her nerves completely. Hoping he'd agree to watch something else, more interesting hopefully, Asten winced as the kitten returned it's needle-like claws to her stomach and suffered through the kneading, glad she wasn't allergic to them.

Gunji sat up, startling the cat. "Thank GOD!" he said with wide eyes. Gunji stopped the movie and ejected the disc, the lights going on. "I was ready to fall asleep! I hated that so much! Why do I even have that movie?!" Gunji said as he leaped of the couch and placed the disc back into it's case. He tossed the stupid movie somewhere else and searched through the good pile again. He pulled something out that was actually a little scary and put the movie inside. He actually red the back this time. It was about some kids who went off to a vacation in one of their cabins and ended up meeting a disaster during their vacation. Gunji flopped back down onto the couch and placed his head in Asten's lap. The cat hissed as he scared it and Gunji just pet it. "Don't you growl at me, mister," Gunji said before he turned the lights off and started the movie.

Gunji smiled up at Asten. "This one is a little scary so if you get scared just tell me and I'll sit up and let you hide behind me," Gunji said with a wide smile. He liked the idea of Asten clinging to him instead of him clinging to her. Maybe if Gunji got scared too they could just cling to each other.

When the movie started, it was the teenagers loading up the car with their luggage. There was, of course, the stupid blond, the total Jock, the Jock's friend, and the normal brunette. "I'm going to die of excitement on this trip," the blond said in an annoying, high picked voice and Gunji giggled, knowing she would die but maybe not of excitement. "I hope she dies first," Gunji said with another giggle as he glanced over at Asten. Gunji knew that he was a blond himself but he absolutely hated those perky, dumb blond girls that were always in movies. If she died first, Gunji knew he would actually liked this movie and they would be able to finish it and not toss it away like the other one.

A bit startled when Gunji sat up and started moving around all of a sudden, she grinned and ducked to avoid getting hit in the head by the flying movie case. It landed somewhere behind the couch and she planned to leave it there for all eternity, if possible. Craning her neck to see the case, she recognized the movie and reached for the cushion to prop it next to her. Oh yeah, she was going to be scared with this one, if it was the one she was thinking about. Looking down at him in surprise when he said it was fine if she got scared, she smiled at him. "Trust me, you'll know when I get scared," Asten told him, petting the kitten some more. At least he wouldn't mind her being clingy, that was nice.

Snickering at his remark about the blond girl dying first, she nodded. "They always have to be these perky freaking blond cheerleaders," the shifter grumbled, absently starting to pet Gunji's hair again as the movie continued. Token black guy - he'd die. Jock one - dead. Jock two - possibly dead. Blond - dead, hopefully first. Nerdy girl...hmm...might or might not. "And why is it always a couple that survive? Or one sacrifices themselves to save the other. How stupid is that? If they just worked together they could probably kill the dude," she added, before thinking she might be bothering him by talking. Falling silent, Asten ate some more popcorn before she got too scared to find it and relaxed again as it went on. The beginnings were always boring, just a prelude to the real 'fun'. Oh boy.

Asten made it to the blond dying - she actually almost laughed - before she had the cushion in front of her face and was cowering behind it. She knew it was coming and she still jumped! Glancing around it, she yelped when the killer popped out from under one of the beds - despite logically knowing the whole thing was stupid - and buried her face in the pillow again. She normally would be curled into a tight ball at this point, but Gunji was on her lap laughing and she enjoyed the cuddling too much to throw him off. Squeaking as she looked again, unable to help herself, Asten flinched when some random person got dragged into a walk-in freezer. Ew, she'd never look at a hamburger the same way again.
