Well. That was new. A rather strange doe simply.. waltzed right up to the berry bushes Flowing Freely had been tending to, and started eating mouthfuls. He looked at the timid doe as she backed away from the stranger and darted off, and sighed slightly. He moved closer, and nudged the doe's flank lightly with his knee. "Miss... Those berry bushes. My companion has cared for them since she settled down here... and you're breaking branches with your feeding. Please. If you are hungry, fine, take some food... but try not to damage them any further..." he spoke up, straightening quietly. Perhaps this doe was a bit simple. It was obvious the berry bushes had been carefully cultivated by somebody. So why eat thus?

"Well I didn't know someone owned these berries." It was true that she had never really seen cultivated land until now. And she was trying her best not to break the branches, had she been so wrong? "I'm sorry if I really have done damage to your friend's berries." She backed away from the bushes, obviously embarrassed but keeping a wary eye on the stranger. "May I ask if this is your territory? I do not mean to trespass... " Her voice was a bit softer then as she focused on the buck.

"Not really my territory, persay... more like, theirs and mine. There are four of us who live together... And it doesn't look too bad...Here, try to take from the outer branches and work your way in," Dream murmured softly, moving closer, and smiling as he gently nibbled at some of the outer branches quietly.

Quote: It is midwinter now, and morale has been at an all time low in the glade. Curling up tightly to the fire, the kin here shook and shivered, and waited, hunting on occasion. The berry bushes were dormant, but Free had secreted away a large amount of berries that were partially frozen and still quite good, saving them for a rainy day. Harm was breaking the ice on the pond, feeding the fish, and picked out a large trio, to be shared. Snap had worked hard to make pretty little painted bones and skulls and feathers, to add color to the ground, keeping the snow cleared from the glade. Working with her, Dream had also managed to bring home plenty of food- including killing hibernating snakes and even a few boars. The only one that hadn't really changed with the weather... was Abandons Fear. Stoically, he stood at the outskirts, staring in. He brought home food, and dropped it at the hooves of the others. And then... he spoke. For the first time, he spoke...
His eyes not meeting the other kin gathered there, the totoma buck slowly began to speak, his voice rusty from lack of use, grating out like stones down a mountainside, and... as he spoke, all was silent, "...A feast..." he whispered hoarsely.
The silence was... bizarre. Heavy upon her mind. Her soul. And then, when Abandon had stepped out, she blinked, and froze as he opened up his mouth... and spoke. For a moment, she knew, the others froze, as well... and then it hit her. He'd suggested a feast. A feast to raise morale and make the others happier? She smiled faintly at him, and slowly nodded. "That is an excellent idea..." she whispered, and then moved closer slowly, to pick up his offering.
"A feast! A feast! That's a great idea, no name! You know, you ought to speak up more! I love feasts!"
Her energy was infectious, her voice, a little startling. Snap bound over, tail wiggling as she bound over and circled the Totoma buck, before nuzzling his neck, and giggling as he shivered and shied away. "Oh, I'll get together the feathers to decorate!"
"Calm down, lass, you're disturbing him. If he doesn't wanna talk, don't make him..." Harm was the voice of reason, lightly biting Snap's neck and lightly drawing her back away from the buck as she chuckled and squirmed happily. "If we're going to have a feast... we may as well go get some guests... come on, then. Let's go see who we can find."
All he thought as Abandon spoke was that it was peculiar that this buck would chose to make such a... friendly gesture. Dream narrowed his eyes slightly, and then tipped his head to the side, and moved closer. "... a feast... Fine..." he whispered, and then tugged down one of his fresher kills, a massive snake... this would be... interesting...
