"Maybe. Couldn't hurt to look into it. Probably be either in life or death databases. Gonna have to check that out at some time," Deryk mused before grimacing as he took another hit.
Taking in a deep breath, he tried to stay close to Ofelia. As he moved in, he slashed at her once more.

Ofelia raised her arm up to take Deryk's strike again only to have her own miss entirely. Because heaven forbid she catch a break anywhere.
It was probably in her best interests to defend herself now.

Deryk could practically hear a woosh as Ofelia narrowly missed her mark. Him. Letting out a breath, he heard Tooley singing in his head. She was ready and willing to be unleashed right now.
"There's the computers in the library. Might be able to find them in there. Don't have access to life stuff, but should be able to dig into death archives and whatnot. Just gotta look around," he nodded. The hidden blade glowed brightly before a green aura burst out around it.
He went ahead to try and stab it into Ofelia, but never managed to make contact.

Ofelia braced herself for an attack that didn't come and in the break of the his afterswing moved Rue up to poke him in the arm. It was just enough for her weapon to get the FEAR she needed for a charge, no real reason to go all crazy and try to hurt him. For now.
"Ah could try that but yeah, as said. Bad wit' tech."

Deryk frowned as he had missed that big attack. Oh well. He just had to try again.
"Well. If I find anything, I'll let you know. Can show you anything if there's stuff. Y'know?" he grinned before making another swipe.

Ofelia's face lit up like a Child at Christmas, her cheeks blushing with delight. "Really? Ah'd be super thankful fer that."
Rue screeched in her head.
"Also, Ah'm sorry. Please brace yerself, this is gonna hurt." The teen held up Rue who was practically vibrating against her entire arm. The runes about her blades suddenly roared to life, growing bright and larger, and Ofelia jumped back into a boxing pose before smashing her fists into Deryk as hard as she could.
She lost count of how many punches she delivered, somewhere around six or seven, but when she was done and Rue spent for that charge, a look of pure worry ran over her features. "Ahmagawd, are ya okay?! Please tell me yer okay."

"Huh wu--"Deryk's words were cut short a bit as he ended up taking a rather powerful series of punches, which caused him to stagger back and fall over for a moment. Groaning, he pushed himself back to his feet, a little dazed. "Woah. Yeah. Fine. Probably gonna be feeling that in the morning though. Yes," he managed to get out while catching his breath. Once he had recovered, he ran back at Ofelia. He slashed horizontally once, then thrust his arm out to follow up with a stab. "Still got some fight left in me!"HP: 14 Damage: 13 Charge: 2/3

"Good, good, Ah was worried Ah'd hurt ya or sommin'. After we got our new jacket fer some reason Rue's a lot stronger than b'for. Ah dunno what happened but she hits harder an' somehow Ah'm -" Ofelia's sentence was cut off as Deryk slashed at her, her shield groaning and reducing itself down to half. The other hunter trainee had a strong hit, she had to admit, and a grin spread over her face.
"Looks like ya d-" Ofelia was moving to attack back, Deryk was close enough, when her flip-flop slipped on the grass and sent her staggering forward, totally missing her goal. Her cheeks turned red again, this time with embrassment. "Ah...meant ta do that. Seriously."

"Yeah. Know what ya mean. Feeling stronger since promotion. Kinda weird in a way actually. But not gonna question it. Y'know?"
Deryk cringed a bit as Ofelia stumbled a bit, giving off a nervous laugh.
"Huh what? See what? Didn't see anything."
Once she had seemed to have caught her balance, he went in for another attack. This time, he reached out to try and grab a hold of her so he could strike a little more easily with the blade.

While Ofelia was just thankful that Deryk wasn't the type to openly point things out she was still sort of miffed that she'd slid round on the grass. What was even worse was the fact her hits were getting light now and he seemed to be getting stronger with each strike.
Or maybe he'd been going easy on her all along? It was hard to tell. Either way though Ofelia barely tapped his shield, and then braced herself for his next attack. "Be gentle." She winked, teasing.
Inwardly she was panicking.

Tooley was singing once more, letting him know she was ready. However, he didn't unleash her. Instead, he went on and charged at her normally. It was hard to say if it was because Ofelia said to be gentle or if there was something else going on through Deryk's mind. In any case, he just barely nicked her. hp 14 damage 1 charge 3/3 Rown Yep! Up to you if you want to do one final post or leave it as is.

Ofelia was surprised to find that she was. . . okay? Either her teasing had gone better than she thought or her companion was waiting on something, and the teen bit her lower lip as she moved to continue the fight. There was no point in her getting nervous, this was just a friendly spar, and both of them would stop before it got dangerous, right?
It turns out that not thinking about attacking allowed her to hit hard, her strike strong and true, and Ofelia cursed (loudly) because that was not what she meant to do. There was no way on earth now that he wasn't going to pound into her on his next attack, right?
Rue didn't care, if her silence meant anything.

Deryk let out a grunt after he took the hit, staggering back as that was a pretty strong punch he took again. It wasn't as bad as when she had unleashed her charge. Wincing, he just grinned faintly before trying to attack her back, making a pretty wide arc with his slash. hp 6 damage 8 charge 3/3

Ofelia was on her final legs now, barely keeping herself upright. It was fair to say she should have surrendored, but that was only going to come if she missed her next attack. Deryk had to be doing badly too, right? It looked as though both of them might have made a silent vow not to use their FEAR charges on one another, something the teen was thankful for, and as the other hunter went for her Ofelia totally punched him harder than she thought she would have.
Just like the time with her charge attack she looked panicked and Rue was instantly sent away, the weapon's screams of having a full charge ignored as the teen's tanned face turned a pale shade of mocha. She was quickly at Deryk's side, doing her very very best not to freak out vocally or start crying.
Both failed, and she ended up having a few tears coming out from her right eye. "Amagahjasdsdas are ya okay?! Ah didn' think Ah'd...oh man, please say Ah didn' kill ya oh gawd this is horrible aahhdjfsdfsdsfs."
Run on sentences. Go Ofelia, go.

The punch Deryk received knocked him down, leaving him kind of dazed on the floor. He was bleeding a bit somewhere too, but was a little too out of it in the time being to really pinpoint where it was. Granted, he soon realized that Ofelia was fretting over him as his senses were coming back from being a jumbled mess. "Ow. That hurt. But. Uh. Yeah. Will live," he said while blinking and rubbing his head. His words were slurred a little, but it seemed that he'd be fine once he rested up a bit. "Just... gimme a moment. Whew. Was a punch, yes,"HP: -2
