"Science fairs are boring. I would rather be out on the ocean..." he said with a small frown as he glanced over his shoulder at the water. "Of course, it's my own fault for choosing this..." That didn't mean he wasn't about to head back to his boat, though. Not that he needed to share that, of course.
Either way, he took the offered phone when it was handed to him, and keyed in the correct information. Name, number, email... the basics. He would just have to be sure to block Alexandre if he turned out to be a creeper. He didn't seem like one, but one never knew!
"There you go," he said with another grin, handing the phone back to him, and once he'd collected his own phone, he pushed himself up to stand, making sure to brush the sand off in a way so that it wouldn't fall all over Alexandre's towel, because surely that would be a deal breaker. "I'd better get going, but I'll see you back in the city? Plan on something this coming Friday," he told him as he took a step back, taking the bottle of water with him.
Who knew how this future date would turn out, but it wasn't as though he couldn't stand the guy. And it had been a while since he'd actually dated anyone. It could be a new experience for the both of them!

His phone was returned to it's safe place, his bag wasn't about to get wet or filled with sand, and turning back in time to watch the other brush sand from himself. "Of course, and enjoy your time on the water." And he would enjoy his time, as much as possible, while on the beach under his trusty umbrella.
This Friday would be interesting, very interesting, he couldn't help but wonder just how this coming Friday would turn out. It would be a first for him and how could he not wonder about it? Though it sounded a bit girlish in his mind, though he kept assuring himself that wasn't the case. it was perfectly normal gender not mattering.
His attention no longer being occupied, though his thoughts certainly were, he slowly worked to get himself back to his book as he curled up on his blanket after gathering his book and perching his sunglasses back in place.
