Kilian grunted as he took Elleth's hit. He nodded his understanding, though and opened his hands back up, attempting to do the palm strike again. He made his fingers as stiff as he could and shoved out from his core, aiming again at her chest.

Elleth sidestepped the attack, "Better so much better." She said and changed her attack sequence. She shifted on her heels, putting space between them and struck out with a sharp kick, powered from her hips.

Kilian tried to avoid her last attack but failed. The force from her kick sent him flying to the ground. He grunted as he hit and fell down to his back, staring up at the sky. He had lost. Again. First to a dragon and now a girl. It didn't upset him as much this time though. Something was...different. She had praised him, even when he hadn't done his best. According to her, he was doing better. Improving. He sighed and rose up, supporting his weight with his arms behind him. Looking in Elleth's direction, he smiled.

The moment the kick connected and Kilian was sent flying Elleth knew that she had messed up. The fight was supposed to take longer than it had, with Kilian showing her more of his moves so that she could correct him where needed. But instead she'd gone and screwed it up by not checking her strength. The flow of battle had gotten to her and she'd lost herself in the moment. She winced at the sound of a body meeting the ground and waited for an angry tirade of words.
The older girl looked startled for a moment when all she got was a smile, before grinning sheepishly, "Sorry about that." She said moving over to Kilian to offer him a hand up. "My usual sparring partners can take a beating and sometimes I forget my own strength because of that." She shook her head, "Normally I'm the one on the ground with the tang of defeat bitter on my tongue."

Kilian took Elleth's offered hand and pulled himself up off the ground. She wasn’t the only one surprised by his reaction. He hadn’t expected to take defeat so well. Maybe it was because he had learned things from Elleth. All he really knew was that he had enjoyed himself and learned along the way. “There’s always next time.” He snickered as he held out his hand for her to shake. “You’ve no idea how much this means to me.” A slight tinge colored his cheeks as he admitted this to the female.

"I have a pretty good idea of just how much." Elleth replied dryly, "After all, I was in your position not too long ago." She reached out to pat his shoulder, "Get stronger and explore your abilities. There's no limit to the potential that we posses. I look forward to fighting you again."
Elleth took a step back and bowed before turning on her heels and moving towards where her blade lay. "I especially look forward to fighting you when you're armed." She called, swinging her sword into it's sheath on her back. "I haven't fought anyone other than my family with a weapon."
