He didn't have to be told twice. Yuri Lowell was a lover of desserts, but if there was one he especially favored, it was cake. The only reason he'd held back this long was to see Ivory's reaction to it, plus the cake had been meant for her. Again he leaned forward and got himself a piece of cake, putting it on a plate and grabbing a fork before putting a sizable chunk of pink and white confection into his mouth.
"I'm from the capital, Devoirue," he said with his mouth still partially full. Which made the exotic name of his hometown sound more like "Deh-uh-oo." He then shrugged, "I guess it depends on your definition of big. Its on an island like Kodo. Its pretty lively though, with a bunch of old looking buildings and stuff."
Probably not the most helpful description, but Yuri hadn't really gotten out and seen much of the world. So it was kind of difficult for him to compare it to other places. Her description of Goldenrod sounded interesting though. Wherever the hell that was.
When Ivory decided to feed Opal some of the cake, Yuri watched as the Ditto devoured it. Repede remained sitting off to the side. He was not a fan of cake. For a dog, he was rather picky about his food choices. He did not have a sweet tooth like Yuri did.
Ivory's explanation for why she didn't cook, drew a blink. Well... he supposed that would be a problem. Yuri was learning more and more about Ivory's handicaps every time he talked to her. "Huh. Well that's no reason to miss out on a home cooked meal. Guess you just need an extra pair of eyes, or someone to come cook for you every now and then."

For a moment, the ditto seemed content, sloppily chewing onto her bit of cake. However, once she seemed to swallow the bit of food, she opened her mouth again wide like a baby bird Pokemon begging for food.
Rather than give up all of her treat, the girl snatched up a fully formed piece of cracker from the other plate and held it out for the ditto. Opal had a preference for dry foods, and crackers were indeed very dry. "Here you go, sweetie!"
With a squeaking "Ditto" sound, she grabbed up the cracker with her two little stubby arms, then began to move almost like a slugma towards Repede-friend's paws. Once there she proceeded to stuff part of the cracker into her mouth, before holding out the uneaten portion towards her Growlithe buddy.

"Deh-uh-oo sounds like a pretty classical place..." Yuri hadn't given the most detailed explanation, but she didn't need to pester him too much about describing his old home. She easily took another couple bites from her cake, cheeks still rosy from before. She eventually swallowed her food and rebutted Yuri's point.
"Well, there are plenty of restaurants that do cook 'home-cooked' style... So I don't really need to do the home cooking thing here so much if I don't want to..." True, she rarely ate out, but Yuri didn't need to know that. A diet of ramen noodle cups, crackers, soups, and other prepackaged goodies were an easy staple to her diet.
Rather than stick to such a subject, the girl stood herself from the spot she had claimed on the floor to start walking towards another room. She placed the last piece of cake in her mouth as she did such. "I'll be back..." she said in a manner which made the last word sound like bag due to food taking up space in her mouth.

The offered portion of cracker was met with a sniff of his nose. It seemed edible enough, so Repede took the offered food, munching on the cracker. He wuffed his gratitude to Opal for sharing.
Eh, restaurants still were not the same as cooking things yourself, but Yuri decided to not comment on that since Ivory was embarrassed enough as it was. One day he would have to cook for her, so that she could see what he meant. The man devoured his cake, munching on the last bite with a full mouth when Ivory got up and announced that she would be back. Washing the cake down with soda, he then waited for her return.

The cracker snack was gone which meant that the Pokemon didn't have anything more to eat. Ivory-friend already left the room which meant only Yuri-friend was left to assist in getting food. The ditto seemed to squish over to the man's feet before asking "Ditto dit?". She then opened her mouth open wide again but this time she also pointed to Repede-friend as well.
As the girl returned she could hear the sound of a ditto begging for food. She held her sketch pad to her chest as she approached. "Opal actually prefers the crackers to the cake, if you want you can give her some more. She knows some tricks too if you want to make her work a bit for it."
Where as before she seemed hesitant to sit on the couch with Yuri, this time she didn't seem to have much of an issue with it. It was simply a fact that she needed to share the sketches with the man and the fire-type. "So yeah I have done a couple sketches... I was thinking yellow was a good color for Repede to wear since it seems complementary to his fur color."

Repede sat next to Opal as she started begging Yuri for food, which drew a blink from the man. Tricks huh? Leaning over to pick up a couple crackers, Yuri used his thumb and pointer finger to flick one cracker at Repede and then another to Opal's gaping mouth. The Growlithe snatched the morsel of food from the air and munched on it loudly.
When Ivory returned and sat next to him with her sketch pad, the man leaned over to get a better look. "Hey, not bad," he complimented.
Repede was then suddenly at Ivory's feet, and pawed her leg once before wuffing. He wanted to see it too! The Growlithe would be the one wearing it after all. It had to go through Repede approval.

Opal could do this trick! It required a bit of work hefting her body down and then up to bounce up, but Opal could do it! The blob managed to bounce herself up into the air and gulp down the cracker in one large bite. When she landed, she then started to chew, seeming momentarily appeased yet again.
There were three different designs on the page she had shown off, and with a finger she pointed towards the middle one. "I personally like this one..." she said before leaning down and showing off the marker-drawn designs to the Pokemon.
"It's your turn to take a look! It'd probably be best if you told Yuri what you thought, since it's harder for me to understand you directly." She smiled and let out a soft laugh.

Repede looked at the designs carefully, seemingly scrutinizing each one of them. Yuri sat back, watching as the dog seemed to be trying to make up his mind. Personally, they all looked good to him.
The puppy Pokemon then came to a decision and looked at Yuri expectantly.
"Grooooowl gruff gruff! Grrrrr ruff! Ruff!"
Folding his arms behind his head again, Yuri smirked. "Repede enjoys style and comfort, but he also trusts your judgment. I think he likes the second one too."

Ivory made certain to not watch as the puppy's eye critically seemed to look over the designs. It was always the trickiest part about making things for others. One never knew what they'd like. What she might have considered "cool" would not have been so well adored by the recipient. She wanted to someday get into the fashion industry, but this was one of her biggest hurdles to deal with to date.
She let out a sigh of relief when the Pokemon's owner translated what could have been criticism, but wasn't.
"Okay... I will need to get some measurements then. Gimme a couple more moments and I'll get to that!" Apparently the girl wasn't going to get a chance to relax on the couch, popping right back up, drawing pad once more pushed against her chest as she walked off in a quick pace back to the room she had fled to before.
It seemed as if the ditto wasn't going to beg for anymore crackers, perking up as Ivory-friend escaped to the drawing room. She hadn't really been paying too much attention to what had been going on around her. Ivory-friend usually went to that room to draw.
Like an excited child, the Pokemon squealed out in a shrill manner before quickly fleeing to follow the girl. As she moved along, she cheered out "Ditto ditto ditto ditto!!" It was drawing time, drawing time, drawing time!

Welp. Yuri supposed the only thing he could do at this point was just sit back and watch. Reaching for another piece of cake, he looked down at Repede who sat there in a dignified manner. However, the way the dog's eye glinted and how he watched Ivory go back into another room... Yuri could tell he was pleased. Excited even.
Repede's tail swished along the floor, waiting for Ivory's return as Opal slid across the floor and cheered in her pursuit. This was a girl's house after all, and this was a girl thing, so the gentlemen merely waited for the return of the ladies.
While Yuri stuffed his face with cake.

The sound of her Pokemon did manage to catch her attention. Why in the world had Opal followed her to the sewing room? After setting the drawing pad upon one of the desks, she turned to face the ditto. She knelt down and held her hands in front of the Pokemon.
The transform Pokemon was still cheering on about it being drawing time as she crawled into the trainer's hands.
"You are such a silly girl, Opal." The girl brought the white blob to her lips and gave her a small kiss. "You are being such a good girl right now... but you need to calm down, okay?" In an affectionate manner, the girl ran her finger across the top of what could be assumed the head of the ditto.
The pokemon's enthusiastic cheering slowly calmed down to what could almost be likened to a cooing sound.
"There we go... good girl..." Now that the Pokemon had calmed down, she set the blob upon her shoulder before locating a cloth measuring tape. Looping her thumb through the roll of cloth, she also found 3 different colored markers. Utilizing her little helper, she handed off the three markers to the ditto, who held onto one with her little stubby arms and held onto the other two in a similar manner to how she had with Repede's chopsticks. With her tools at hand, the girl returned to the living room.
"Okay, Repede... could you stand up for me?" she asked as she drew closer.

Yuri was half through his piece of cake when Ivory and Opal returned bedecked with their tools. Repede's tail swished a little faster.
"Wow, these ladies mean business, huh Repede?" "Ruff!"
Yuri remained where he was, but watched with some interest as they got ready to literally size up his dog.
The Growlithe stood up on all fours as Ivory requested and walked closer to the girl. Waiting for whatever it was she was going to do to measure him.

Rather than keep the white Pokemon on her shoulder, the girl scooped up Opal quite easily and set her on the table with the food.
When set down, the Pokemon set down all three of the markers. She was now at the same level as the food. Seeming to lose interest in the activities the others were taking on, the white blob slinkied on over towards the cake, which was closest to her. Without hesitation, she opened up her mouth and took a large bite out of the nearest slice of the cake. She let out a long "Diiiiiit" which could have been likened to a Mmmmm of a pleased human.
The girl settled down near where she had set Opal and as Repede approached, she mentioned "Okay, you need to stand still for this..." She then unrolled the measuring tape and once it was long enough, she began to wrap it about the Pokemon's neck, closer to the shoulders. It wasn't overly tight, but it wasn't a loose fit either. Once she had found the proper measurement, she then reached to grab one of her three pens. Uncapping the top she then made a mark on the tape itself. Then she unwrapped the tape from around the Pokemon's neck.
"How you holding up, Repede?"

Repede stood stock still, letting Ivory do what she needed to do as she put the measuring tape around various points of his body. He didn't seem to mind at all and gave another "Ruff" at the girl's question.
"He's good," Yuri told Ivory before finishing off his cake and setting the plate down on the table. Where he then noticed one white Ditto pigging out.
"Hey, leave some for the rest of us," the man joked with a grin, while reaching out to poke the Ditto's belly with a finger. Maybe it would giggle.

Letting out more of a squeaking giggle than a "Dit," the white Pokemon playfully scurried and hid behind the remaining cake, almost as if she was now playing a game with Yuri-friend. She had only managed to damage one slice, and with the 3 other pieces consumed by Yuri-friend and Ivory-friend, that left about half a cake to hide behind. From her new spot, she snickered in teeny "Dit dit dit dit"s.
The first measurement had been taken care of, so the girl moved onto the next one, which was right under the Pokemon's rib cage. She wrapped the tape about him once more, and once she got the mark, she used a different colored marker to make note of it on the tape itself. "You know... not all Pokemon would stand still so well when getting their measurements taken, Repede. I appreciate your cooperation!" She moved onto measuring the diagonal across the shoulder, and after getting the measurement, she marked it with the final marker pen.
"I think that takes care of it. Now, Repede, how quickly do you want to get this back?" With her measurements taken care of for the moment, she remained low to the ground and just leaned in towards the fire-type, smiling a bit. "I could probably pull an all nighter if it is that important to you... or I could stretch it out so you can pick it up sometime next week."

Yuri seemed to have found himself involved in a game of hide and seek. He sat up straighter and put his hand on his hip, while pretending to look around for the lost Ditto.
"Oh no, where did she go? Opal's just way too good at hiding for me."
Of course he knew where she was, but that wouldn't stop him from humoring the little white blob.
Repede remained still as Ivory continued her measurements. When she was done, his tail wagged slowly again and he sat, then gave a stern bark.
"Yeah I agree with Repede. You need your rest. There's no rush, Princess."
This said by Yuri who used his newfound nickname for the girl as easily as if it were her own name.
