Akakios took a different approach with his electric attack this time. Maybe he could buy some time if his opponent couldn't move. The electricity built up and he gently released it hoping to paralyze.

The imposing wall of shadow blocked the meager electricity. Inside, Mephistopheles raised his arms and the shadowy tendrils lashed out at the Zebstrika.

The shadowy tendrils could pack quite the punch. They knocked Akakios back some. He quickly recovered and rushed towards the duskull ready to use a new attack.

The Zebstrika passed the wall with little diffculty, knocking Mephistopheles back a fair distance. The wall of shadows remained around him, however. From within, the duskull looked up with his glowing eye.

Akakios felt wrong after whatever it was that Mephisto did. Almost like he couldn't use his last attack. He shook his head and began to build up electricity. He then shot it out, stronger than last time, in hopes of paralyzing the duskull.

Akakios was on the move not that it matter. The other pokemon was so paralyzed that he couldn't move. Seeing a golden opportunity he fired another bolt at the ghost.

Akakios was blown back some by the attack. He shook his head and made sure he had sure footing. He leaped over some bags of garbage and shot out another bolt.

Seeing the other pokemon was regaining his mobility Akakios shook his head in frustration. He took the hit from the attack but shook it off after a moment. He fired off another Thunderbolt and began to move again.

Mephistopheles was struck by a large bolt that nearly bypassed his defenses entirely. After a moment, he bowed before the zebstrika.
"You have bested me. I feel no need to drag this out, and I assume you have no motion to do so either. Well met."
As he finished speaking, darkness covered the field. When it lifted, Mephistopheles was beside Lenore. The girl gave a slight wave to the zebstrika and it's trainer before walking out, head in her book once more.
