Vincent wasn't sure why he couldn't land any attacks with crunch but tried it once more. Only this time he was looking to startle the other pokemon into lowering his defense.

Mephistopheles was caught off guard as he summoned yet more tendrils of darkness, being bitten on his outstretched arm. He phased out quickly, retreating behind the cover of the writhing tendrils.

Vincent saw he had caught Mephisto off guard and quickly moved after the retreating pokemon. He had to dodge some trees and duck to avoid branches but he did his best to catch up. When he was in range he lunged with his mouth glowing red.

The tendrils caught the arcanine just moments before he would have caught Mephistopheles. With a movement of the duskull's hand, the tendrils threw the arcanine at a tree.

Vincent was thrown at a tree leaving him to wonder how the heck those tendrils picked him up in the first place. He quickly recovered and went after Mephisto. His mouth opened and he went to bite down on one of the duskull arms.

The tendrils failed to react in time as the arcanine bit into Mephistopheles' arm. The tendrils pulled Vincent away as the duskull's eye glowed.

Vincent was too busy howling his success at making a hit to notice the taunt. He was practically prancing around a nearby tree all the while howling his head off.

Vincent stopped howling when hit by the attack. He growl a little as it hurt and focused on Mephisto. Soon he was charging in with his mouth open wide.

Jumping backwards to avoid the tendrils, Vincent ended up slamming into a rotten tree causing it fall over. He jumped again this time in surprise and looked at the fallen tree. His eyes were huge as he turned back to the ghost. "Did you see that!? The tree fell over! Why did it do that?" He asked momentarily forgetting the battle. Only a call from his trainer got him moving again. He leaped at the ghost with his mouth open wide to bite down.
"Vincent! Come on and quit getting distracted!" Alexa yelled after hearing the tree fall and seeing Vincent pause during the middle of the battle

Vincent easily dodge the Ominous Wind attack and dashed behind some trees. He sighted in on the ghost and then darted out from his hiding spot. He moved in closer and opened his mouth wide.

Vincent was hit by the tendrils but they didn't slow him down much. He rushed after the ghost running full tilt. He then slashed out with a paw using Aerial Ace.
