Lirona nodded slowly. "I didn't have friends outside of my family. ..Most of my family is gone now though.." She turned her head away slightly, took a deep breath, and then turned back to Star with a cheerful smile. "That's exactly what I mean by search! If you don't have something important like friends or family, you should go find some and get them for yourself!" Her smile warmed. "And why shouldn't I want to be your friend? Everyone deserves at least one friend in their life."

That....made sense... A lot of sense actually. "I....accept the friendship..." She swallowed, flicking her braided tail. "You...have probably noticed... I don't know emotion so well." Her head turned. "I don't remember much... Something of the magics messed with my mind..." Explaining why she was so strange. Her hooves carried her toward the stream, her head bowed and she used her horns to move the bushes aside, letting Lirona walk in first.

Lirona smiled contently. Good! She had a friend now! And so did Star! Listening attentively, she gave a slow nod. She heard what Star was saying, but didn't quite understand it. That didn't matter much though. "Maybe you'll be able to re-learn someday?" She said, wondering what it would be like to not be able to remember a past. She simply couldn't imagine it.
Ducking through the branches with a soft 'thanks,' she looked back to see if those unique horns would get caught again. Then the looked at the stream and the berry bushes nearby. The cool moonlight gave everything a silvery glow, and it almost looked mystical. "Those look tastey." She said, trotting over to inspect the berries.

"They do...sweet smell as well... I believe I had some in another forest a few days ago." She moved over, head up, a flower caught in the horns. "Not at all dangerous as I'm still here as well...." She moved to rest, noticing her legs sore. "Ah.... perhaps you could help me re-learn?"

Pleased to hear that the berries were safe, Lirona plucked a couple between her teeth and chewed slowly. Mmmm~
Ears perking, she paused with another set of uncrushed berries between her teeth. Help learn emotions? She resumed chewing, pondering the idea. Well, she wasn't a total stranger to her own emotions.. Besides! They were friends now! Nodding, she gave Star an encouraging smile. "I'll do what I can."

Hearing that, Star's ears twitched and an awkward, unsure smile settled on her face. She had quite a bit to understand. "Thank you... I...look forward to meeting any of your family...if you wish to introduce me." She did want to be around other mares and stallions... it would be so nice to have family...of some kind that is. She wondered about her family. "I...hope someday...to have a family of my own..." She moved to get her own bit of the berries, sighing as she looked to the stream. "Do you think...that will be soon?"

Lirona looked over curiously. Though they'd only just met, she was surprised that Star had asked so quickly about meeting her family. She stiffened ever so slightly, but even her self-defense against her sadness couldn't dampen the warmth she felt when she thought of her lost kin. "Well.. like I said, most of my family is gone." She took a deep breath and tried smiling again. "It's just me and my father, now. I'm sure he'd like to meet you, though. He likes making friends, too."
Ears twitching, she swallowed more berries and wondered the same of herself. "I suppose anything is possible. It could happen soon, or it could take a long, long time.." She gave her legs a stretch, and finally sat down as well. "As long as you make sure you're picking someone good, any wait would be worth it, right?" She didn't really like the idea of waiting too long for something like this, but if she had to... "If only we could know if someone was waiting for us as well. Would that make the wait easier or worse?"

"It would be easier if it were to help find them." She nibbled at a bit more of the berries, leaving some for any who would want to have some passing later on. "Lirona... You are kind." She looked at the female, ears twitching in a pleasant manner. "Tell me..." She paused, a bit tired now, not realizing how tired she had been. "Sorry."

Lirona nodded in agreement. That would certainly make it much easier. Chewing down a last mouthful to top off and content her belly, her ears perked at Star's words. A half-smile rose again. "Thank you." She said softly. "It's easy enough to be kind when I'm around another who is kind as well."
Her head lifted fully to pay attention to the question, but it seemed to get stopped short. Brow furrowing slightly, her head tilted just a bit. Naturally, she was curious. "You didn't do anything to be sorry about. What would you like?"

"I was going to ask if you had a direction you would like to head... and if I would be allowed along." She seemed lonely anyway. And she was tired of not speaking to anyone for so long.

Lirona perked her ears in interest. So, Star wanted to continue being around her? She smiled and nodded. "I was actually headed in this general direction. Just exploring. Then, I was gonna go back to where we're resting for the night." She glanced at the bush they'd just eaten from. "Father will be pleased to learn that theses are along our path." She turned her smile back to Star. "He'll also be happy to have you join us. It shouldn't be a problem at all." She chuckled softly, "It'll be nice having someone else to talk to."

"Will... I really be so accepted?" That was a surprise. She didn't know so many openly accepted strangers. "I... I feel...." She had no idea what that was. "It's...like warmth..." Maybe the other would be able to help with this.

Lirona nodded, her expression shifting slightly from repressed sadness. "We want to start over here. What better way than letting friends join with us?" As soon as Star's feelings came up, she tried to give it her full attention. "Like warmth? ..I suppose that could be happiness?" She cocked her head slightly, rather hoping that was what Star was feeling. "Now that you know you won't be alone anymore, you have lots to be happy about. Right?"

Tail twitching, Lirona stood up to look back the way they had come. "Okay. We can do a bit more looking around on our way back." She looked at Star. "Unless you'd rather go straight there and sleep? I believe my father is sleeping right now. He'll probably be down for a while."
