Miss Danny looked a bit out of sorts when she arrived, so he immediately tried to make her feel a bit better.

By complimenting her dress of course, which was rather decent for her.

And then they made their way to the maul, though seeing as she was wearing a dress he did not offer her a piggyback ride. It was easy to just relax being with Miss Danny, but the closer they got to the maul the more nervous he got, and the more he tried to hold back just a bit, especially once they got to the maul and he was just following her around, not sure what her mother looked like. Naturally he was keeping his eyes out for fire. "Do I need to do anything special when I meet her?"

Daniella? Whoever was calling out had a rather loud voice and...a woman, was making a spectacle of herself. There was something about her, or perhaps the way that she was bouncing about, that immediately connected her to Miss Danny for him.

Wait...Daniella? Was...was that her name? Had he been messing it up this entire time? Her mother confirmed it as she said her name yet again, though she mistakingly called him Rikki. He raised his hands in quiet protest, about to speak up though Miss Danny--ella was trying to take care of that for him. Her mother was complimenting him and he found himself growing self-conscious and embarrassed, heat flooding his cheeks.

"I am Yǐn Cáng, Mistress," he said with a slight bow. "Miss Daniella was trying to help me dress for prom?" He felt very uncertain now, and had to fight not to mumble. "But I am willing to shop for whatever you desire Mistress." He bowed to her, trying to show respect to one of his closest friend's mother.

Apparently what he was doing was amusing, and Miss Daniella's mother seemed to be in high spirits. Then she went to whispering, and while he could not hear all of what she was saying he heard enough to get a gist of what it was.

Flushing an even deeper red and now carefully studying his feet, shoulders hunched inward he simply trudged along. If she had not been Miss Daniella's mother he would have simply left, or perhaps even said something. But for his friend's sake he could persevere, probably. The babble from Miss Daniella's mother washed over him, and he found himself rather miss Lady Van Rotte all of the sudden.

Yin soon found himself pushed into a spot where he was measured and turned and lifted whether or not he liked it. He was reeling slightly by the time he had a moments break, and he hurried over to Miss Daniella's side.

"Did I do something wrong?" He asked in concern, voice almost pleading to be told yes so he could somehow fix it and escape this hell that she had introduced him to.

Yin was rather glad that Miss Daniella did not seem to take after her mother, perhaps she took after her father instead.

Three suits were being presented to him now, and all eyes seemed to be on him as he eyed them, unsure of what to think. The first one was a simple standard tuxedo, deep black with a crisp white undershirt, complete with bow tie. The second was more gray than black, and pinstriped, with a solid, dark undershirt and a simple green tie. The last was brown, with a white undershirt but a patterned brown tie as well.

To be honest, all of them looked uncomfortable and weird to Yin, who was truly a fish out of water in this situation. The easiest one to rule out was the ordinary tuxedo, as the other two were much more promising with a bit of natural color mixed in. So, go with green, which he liked, or brown. Brown was...brown was the color of tree trunks, good for blending in. "That one?" he said uncertainly, pointing towards it.

There were hands everywhere.

It really was not that big of a deal, but he could have managed just fine on his own. Or so he thought until the dressing process began. Undershirt. Dress shirt. Pants. Belt. Tie. Jacket. His feet were grumbled about severely, and he thought he heard something about custom shoes or the like before the jacket was being removed, and the tie whisked away, only to be replaced by a bluegreen one, apparently to match his appalling feet to try to get them to work with the outfit and then everything was back on him.

Quite frankly, if Yin had not felt quite so overwhelmed he probably would have welcomed the change. As it was he was just trying to be cooperative until he heard a shriek from the other room, that was clearly audible even in the dressing room. Worried he tried to move, only to be held in place while finishing touches were made (and several disapproving noises at his hair) before he was released into the room, feeling oddly constricted and very much out of place.

Yin looked up hopefully at Miss Daniella, and she seemed to look happy enough. Then her mother screeched again, and his face fell. At least...she was honest? Or something?

One elemental quickly worked at removing the offensive tie, while the other two dashed off and came back with a tie, holding them both up for approval. A striped concoction from one and a solid one from the other, but with a slight texture to it rather than being completely smooth. Yin opened his mouth to ask her which looked best, but then snapped it closed, confident that Miss Daniella's mother would give her opinion freely.
