Deryk paused at that. Furrowing his brow, he turned around towards the much smaller form with him. Oh right. He had to exert a fraction of the energy as the other hunter to get anywhere. Thinking for a moment, he just reached down to pick the other guy up. "Well, good thing you aren't too heavy then, yes?" he grinned before continuing on with the little guy in hand.

Before's initial squeak at being picked up quickly died in his proboscis-like mouth. "Oh mos def a good thing," he nodded, giving his fellow Hunter in Golem a thumb's up with his free hand. "But I vaguely remember reading in the Life Labs that there were a bunch of 'em scattered around in different shapes. I think the nearest one was some sorta well-thingy." he mused then glanced up.
"You uh don't gotta be anywhere real soon, do you? This might take a while." 8C the last thing he wanted was to inconvenience anyone for his short-comings. He'd done that enough during his pre-Island days.

"Ah gotcha. And nope. Just here on surveillance. Looking for potentials really. You know. For the thing," Deryk said, not wanting to say too much of it outloud. Just in case someone was in earshot. Couldn't be too careful since they weren't at the island right now.
"Uh.. think it's up ahead."

Before nodded, understanding what the other Hunter said. "Ah, can we do the whole name-exchange dance thing after we shed? Imma gonna be heading back soon as this baby is dropped off," he explained, raising the corrupted little gadget.

"Sounds good to me," Deryk nodded. He moved on a little longer, then set down the smaller golem once they had reached their destination in the meantime.
"Alright. Here it is."

Once he'd been set down, Before proceeded to utter several strings of Latin. Obviously he didn't remember the necessary phrase until he'd gone through at least six different combinations. Finally, on his seventh, "Fiiiiiiiiiiinally it worked!" he breathed in relief and dropped the gadget in. Turning to his fellow Hunter, Before gave a thumb's up. "Ready to head back?"

Deryk just stood by, waiting as the other golem went on to try and open the portal to send the items he had back. It was too bad he didn't know the codeword himself otherwise he'd try to help out with that. When it finally worked, he grinned and nodded to the other hunter. "Yes. Sounds good to me. Let's go on back."
