"Maybe you would have." She chuckled. "I'm not worried. If you can't handle a little scratch you're a wimp." She was teasing. "We're going to go to the best place in the swamp. The place where you can see the most stars. It's beautiful, framed by the leaves of the trees." As she spoke, Horizon's tone became fonder. Sure, she liked going to the edges of the swamp to look out over the horizon, see beyond the trees, but the swamp was still home.

Passing Light simply rolled his eyes at the comment. “As you can tell, I am no wimp.” He flicked his tail at the mere thought. It also brought on a slight smirk as he followed behind the doe. She was truly taking notice in him. Enough to tease him, and that was a goo sign.
“Stars?” Fade had pondered over the fleas and ticks of the Motherfather from time to time so it didn't seem too odd to watch them as a first meeting. Back home, he would race under the stares with his brethren choosing the star they thought was the fastest and chase after it. Every child swore they were fast enough to catch up to that flea, high up in the sky. Fade laid his ears back, matching the does' pace. “I hope it's as beautiful as-” He paused, thinking a moment. “As you say it is.”
